Hi Everyone and Welcome to Promethean Sewing Machines, where I am unashamedly rebelliously creative when it comes to taking old forgotten sewing machines and bringing them back to life in a beautiful way.
    Meet my new project:
Hello! This is going to be another pretty rose covered machine to honor a special grandmother. I love those. Born a treadle and later converted to something more modern, she is going back to her roots without a motor. Hope you like it!

Nicely done. This was a good review for me as I've watched other 66s get torn down. I'm looking for one to do the same thing. I'm looking forward to the next installment and would like to see how the painting technique is done. Thanks for doing these.

My 66 is a red-eye treadle from 1916. My mom taught me to sew on her and when I inherited her several years ago I took her about half apart - too many bits were confusing and frozen. With this video I think I may try again! Thank you

I love the style of the hand wheel on this one.

The removal of that Sew & Vac shop sticker makes you my hero - I despise those. I can't imagine having the audacity to deface someone elses property by slapping a store sticker on it.

Thanks Marie. Also appreciate how you get the badge off. I have one on a machine that wiggles but I couldn't free it or tighten it. Maybe I will try your method. Have a good one.

Hello, I recently rescued a 1919 Singer 66. I plan to restore it and need a few parts. Where would I be able to obtain a bobbin winder assembly for starters? My 66 is totally missing that component. Second, I need to replace the light casing in back, as well as obtain the foot pedal. Any help or tips will be greatly appreciated. I found your channel through Bob Fowler. Thank you in advance.

Most of the time, I have to find parts from another old machine of the same model. Thankfully, a 66 is quite common in the US
