    That was sketchy! Thankfully I saw the RV coming down the road a few corners ahead and backed way off to well under the speed limit. If not, that probably wouldn’t have ended well. Thankfully that e-tron is so agile!

      It's a lot of fun to drive an agile car, but these rare, unexpected, potential moose test situations are why I usually prefer to spend more money for less practical, driver's cars.

    Kyle thank you so much for the invite to the EV summit! That really changed my perception on EVs and driving this car was just an incredible experience. I’ve never felt a car put power down so well in the corner mask it’s speed so well. That would be a wonderful daily driver in LA.

    21:25 RV near-miss, head on collision. Keep watching for the moose test 45-sec later.

    Waiting for the depreciation hammer to hit this and bring it down under $100K in 3 years. The best part is you don't have regular engine maintenance and it's cheaper to fuel, you only have to make sure the brakes and fluids are good but even then that's not super often. Enthusiast EVs are going to he fantastic!

    "Is this even a review or is this just us having a good drive on a back road?" That *IS* the review I came for. Does it drift, does it understeer (push), is it adjustable on the limits, does the TC cut in overly aggressively and spoil the fun, can the TC be turned off completely, etc. Keep it up! And keep up the defensive driving.

    I always wonder why the passengers are thrown around more heavily than the driver. Is it because the driver causes/anticipates the G-force changes and the passengers are just exposed to them? Or maybe the driver can hold onto the steering wheel?

    • @snakeeyes9246
      @snakeeyes9246 2 роки тому +7

      I think it's both. The same applies with the passengers' heads when launch control is engaged. They are not expecting a throwback but the driver is.

    • @billm47645
      @billm47645 2 роки тому +1

      I think this is exaggerated with people who are less experienced drivers and/or not paying attention. I am 43, and I’ve driven around 30,000 miles per year since my early to mid 20’s. I anticipate the driver inputs, but I also have tracked cars, spent time in go karts, and my wife and I are roller coaster enthusiasts. In my experience though, the steering wheel and even the dead pedal does give the driver a lot more support. The only experience I had where I felt like I was jostled more in a vehicle was the only accident 2 1/2 years ago that I was involved in. Someone rear ended me when I became the first car in the line of stoped cars on the highway. Since I had never been in an accident before, even though I have been in vehicles on tracks in spins, etc., I didn’t quite anticipate the force (even though I watched through my rear view mirror and tried to move over, but there was just not enough room), and my head banged the headrest. My neck was sore for days.
