What a blast it was to open this thing up on the Autobahn! Seriously impressive at speed. That in-car camera angle is terrible - sorry to everyone about that - I love Germany!
Would you prefer by chance a small section of unrestricted autobahn to run directly through northern part of Colorado state where you do live?
@@nevco8774 are Tollroads restricted in the US? or could you build a freedomeway with private money from coast to coast with private money?
@@nox5555 In fact private portions of freeways were built in 50-ties mostly in New Jersey then some ather portions built in 90-ties in Florida then some in North Carolina in 2000th and some other places. Everything else is built or by: using federal money - so called interstates in 50-ties and maintained/redevelopped/improved since then or states higheays with states money. All governmental highways are subsidised from taxes collected from sales of gasoline/petrol. Some small private portions are built let's say from interstates to certain places like for instance in Dallas there is a private portion from interstate to that huge Dallas airport. All private portions are paid via cameras sending the bill home after using the paid portion by taking picture of licence plates of the car. All paid highways have free alternatives not too far away but are congested thus are free of charge. Inside the country like in Colorado there are no many paid highways. ALL highways in the USA have pretty low speed limits thus someone like Kyle needs to go to private tracks to rent them to test cars on high speed. That is why Kyle enjoy so much Autobahn especially unrestricted portions of it.
@@nevco8774 is there a law for privatly owned highwayspeed limits? or could i spend a couple of billion private dollars on building the huey long Kingsway from coast to coast without speedway?
Naturaly i would use an app to make people sign away all their rights via TOS.
@@nox5555 No: the private portions of highway have to obey local speeds anyway with some exeptions around 10 miles faster/16 km faster per hour when they are wide enough and straight enough.
Thanks for letting me tag along here Kyle, and great video! 🤩
@@shirewark the chances to have an accident on inner city roads are higher than on the autobahn.
Great to see how VAG is continually expanding its BEV range. Totally unrivalled for choice at this point. Everything from UP E to Taycan. Already the BEV kings and growing.
Thanks Kris for the lend of the car and content from the copilot seat as well as your channel.
My pleasure! Thanks for watching the video 😊😊👍
A wonderful car. Love it. Thanks for the Video.
This looked like an incredibly fun drive! I like the E-tron, seems like it's been sensibly designed.
Love these collaboration videos.
I loved how everyone clears the left lane for faster cars. Even a guy in a little Fiat floored it just to get out of your way ASAP. Over here it’s like FU I’m the king of this road and I don’t give damn 💩 that you wanna go faster than 45
well its get a bit more trickey above 200 km/h. up north there is a strecht of autobahn were everybody if looring it so overtaking gets a bit more tricky, people at 200km/h are not that willing to switch lane if you are blasting along.
Yeah but he was holding in the left Lane which is not what he supposed to do.
@@sturmbreakers7817 didn’t he say nothing behind him?
@@MrKarlRichards He could have got a ticket. The polizei would have given him a ticket.
I love it when you race down the tracks or Autobahn and you're all smiles and everybody else with you is holding on for dear life 🤣🇨🇦👍
11:26 Compare the facial expressions of the driver and his significant other.
Lol
Ummm... Wow...
That was awesome! I was grinning along with you two in the front seats. The two in back looked liked they were not having a great time (scared?) 😂
Awesome car, awesome youtubers
I love eCars, had an i3 and now an eGolf. But for my high speed adrenaline in Germany where I do business, I have the Polo GTI which I drive between 220 and 230 kph; no kidding. Top speed is 240. Cost was €41k new. This is my second Polo GTI; I love the looks on drivers in muscle cars when I keep up with them. 0 to 200 kph takes 21 seconds, equal to a Tesla S , but the Tesla exits at the next exit to charge; I can drive for 2 hr+ at those high speeds. Consumption @ 225 kph is 16.5 ltrs/100 km. It is, in my opinion, the best kept secret in the industry: 200 HP, 0-100 in 6 seconds, at 200 kph goes into highest gear only - 6 gears; the previous model had 7 gears and "only" 192 HP. Love these things and very very stable on the road.
Model S looks very old in comparison to the Audi from the outside :D
There’s a surprising amount of E-Tron GT cars in Tulsa. I’ve seen one on my way to work every day this past week. No chance at reaching the top speed around here though 😆
It would be hilarious if it were oil company executives driving them.
We still need a Lot of oil for the cemical Industry! So i dont Know why people hateing the oilindustry!
This car and Kris's Oystersteel Daytona are🔥.
Great video Kyle
I knew that was Kris’ car! Too unlikely that it was ANOTHER Suzuka grey e-tron GT 😸
Mr. Kris has such good taste in cars...
Thanks dude! 🤩
Enjoyed the video.
That looks like So Much Fun!
Driving with full gusto here in the US comes with that nagging fear of, you know, jail time.
The car is stunning. Best looking ev on the market.
Awesome
What was the energy consumption at 248kph?
Great video! Can y’all review the all electric Mercedes eqs and all electric Chevy Silverado when they come out?
Interesting that you are raising the rear spoiler manually, as my RS GT has an automatic spoiler that raises at around 55 mph and lowers again at around 44 mph. I see no reason that your GT would be different, although you can’t see it from inside the car so perhaps not aware of this? Anyway, a fantastic car that takes a lot of beating in all areas apart from perhaps range, although the fast charging makes up for this.
Very nice car. Good god. How to people afford to buy cars so expensive. Payments must be insane.
The Mustang driver wanted no parts of that challenge 🤣. But this looks spectacular! I am a huge fan of white (or almost white) cars with a lot of black accents. Such a great contrast.
We call it Panda spec.
@@borinvlogs I love it!
i really want one, but can't justify the price. it'd be a daily driver too.
With a 120K price tag, got to have something different from the rest.😎
This would be a lovely car to get into brand new but even a used one in 5 years will be fantastic...if it would depreciate much, that's a downside to EVs :(
still cant believe people prefer the Taycan over this, damn its just so much nicer compared to the porsche, so much more subdued and classy
I'm not getting an electric car until 500+ mile range and 15 minute full charge from 10% is a minimum standard
Then you will miss all the fun!
Only feedback - keep both hands on the steering wheel when shredding ;)
Good advice, a blow out or other vehicle pulling into your lane at that speed would be carnage. Those speeds should be confined to a track when you can wear a helmet.
The mustang needs to pay for gas, but the etron needs to spend time and money on charging because of low range.
I think that car vs that mustang with a rolling race starting at high speed would be interesting. We know ICE cars pull harder at high speeds compared to EVs. Are American cars limited to 155 when they get sent over to Germany? Because if not, that thing has a higher top speed than everything else over there.
What's its top speed?
@@sexpistill You made me look it up. It's less than I thought. It's only 163.
@@eltzrothm1 it’s been limited to 163mph, later software updates will let it go over 200mph, completely insane.
@@davebest5624 Are you sure the Bullitt version will do that? There are faster versions available.
Top speed alone doesn’t do the cut. The Mustang has no chance. That Audi wasn’t running top speed. You need a clear streak of autobahn for long enough to be able to max out.
Tijmen looking cute
That poor girl.
In some months you will hopefully see that Germany got sane and also has a general speed limit like the rest of the world. It simply makes no sense. Too much of speed difference, too much impulse, too much waste of energy to push air aside. Just look at 6:45. And you could also see that there was a lot of braking because here in Germany roads are crowdy. And we always have a lot of roadworks due to the excessive lorries.
Speed limits/fines do not increase public safety. They generate government revenue.
Lol autobahns. I thought there was only one. Jk. Great job and thanx for the great content.
Funny, you said bye bye S5, well the S5 is faster,
at 1/2 the price, it has a top speed of 265, and the RS5 can hit 285..
rear diferential? performance pack? ... oh, so ice ...
Have they fixed the fire risk, the breaking rear axle, and the software problems yet?
White💖💖
norwegian car hm i wonder
Imagine being an American moving to Europe to escape this terrible country just to see this 3:15. Please Europe don't turn into America 2.0.
Manus are different though. 😂
@@borinvlogs Do you mean menus? Yeah I know McDonalds in Europe is much healthier and tastes better because Europe has laws saying you can't sell dog food quality beef to people. Trust me every time you eat McDonalds in America you get sick to your stomach. Some people eat fast food almost everyday and never cook. Can you imagine why we have so many health problems?
Too bad a model s plaid wasn’t around to “race” :)
What thing that disappoints me is complete lack of information on self-driving capabiloties of all of these new cars. It seems that this channel is only about top speed and torque. Why? Is it because Tesla is just years ahead on the rest are just changing the subject. The most important to most of the tesla owners is self driving, and if tne competitors don't get it tney will be just a niche products. And Tesla can also go fast for much longer.
uh I think Tesla has not been a shitshow with their failed self driving and fires
@@isimonsez I have yet to see nurning Tesla, yet so many burning other cars. There is a commercial now on UA-cam about thoudands deaths of first responders killed as they were helping others, but only Tesla's 11 incidents atr tjr sibkevt of federal investi. Why?
You are talking bullshit, buddy! "Tesla is just years ahead on the rest...."?? No, Tesla isn't!
German premium vehicles have all these "driving safety assistance features" since a long time, in fact since a time, when Tesla didn't exist at all.
German cars have the same "self driving" features, but not everyone needs it or want to use it.
At least here in Germany, most people still want to drive their car. "Driving", but not "being driven"!
On a German Autobahn, on a crowded day like 3/4 of this video shows, maybe then selfdriving makes sense, but not for highspeed driving, like in the last 1/4 of this video.
A super nice car. I must smile a little knowing that my much cheaper model 3 performance will pass this great car at top speed. And probably beat it up too 100 km/h.
Yes, but this car is significantly more comfortable / quiet / refined at these speeds when compared to Tesla. From a Model 3 Performance Owner who’s had his car at top speed a number of times… allegedly - Kyle
@BadMonkey Cheaper model = "cheaper" hardware
But they overheat on the autobahn :p
@@jonpetter8921 but still faster though 😂
Model 3 @ 250 kph requires hearing protection. But then again, you get 2 of those for 1 of these.
I think Tesla have shown that you really don’t need a gearbox to accelerate quickly, even about 100mph.
not about the acceleration but more efficient top speed
SUPER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Why the guy in the back seat wearing a hat inside a car?
The mile range is such a disappointment. Sticking with Tesla
