She doesn't force a fake country accent like so many other "country" artists do. It comes out when it comes out. The way it should be.
Robert Reichle she was genuine. And that’s why her music has stood the test of time 😉
By "country" accent are you implying "southern"?
@@brrjohnson8131 kinda, but "country" accent is a little more Appalachian than southern.
@@kohakuaiko ofc makes sense. Much nicer & pc compared to what I've heard in the past. Having lived in the deep south 30 years, I hear regional changes & know them only by States of origin.
@@brrjohnson8131 Appalachian kind of starts in the mountains and spreads (diluting as it goes) west across southern Missouri and northern Arkansas with the last of it disappearing into the edges of Oklahoma and Kansas. Many of us in the Ozarks can trace our heritage to those mountains and some of us still have family there.
Crazy by Patsy Cline is my favorite. She had pipes. 👍🏼🤶🙏🏻🎅
I used to work in a psych ward and there was this little old lady that would go around in her wheel chair singing crazy. Put a smile on my face every time
@@leahrenea2709 That's so sweet. She lost her marbles, but remembered Patsy. She had fabulous taste. 🙏🏻❤
I also like Sweet Dreams because of the dynamics she uses. Patsy was amazing.
No Autotune required.
She has a voice like liquid gold
Her song "Crazy" was written by Willie Nelson and she kills it.
I'm a metal dude, and I really love this song. It has the pure quality that's instantly relaxing. I love your channel because it just shows that no matter how you categorize it. Good music is good music, pure and simple.
Steve Earle - Copperhead Road. Guys if your gonna do a Patsy Cline song you have to listen to "Crazy" or "I fall to pieces", those are her signature songs.
Enforcer525 this is definitely a signature for her as well, and just as well known as the ones you mentioned.
It might be funny for me to say this, but I always knew Steve Earle for just one song - "Guitar Town" (our local smalltown FM country station played the hell outta that song).
@@BenJohnson0531 Maybe so but when you mention her name "CRAZY" is definitely the one most people think of. It was her biggest crossover hit on the pop charts and has been used in the movies and t.v. shows more than any of her other songs. It was written by none other than Willie Nelson.
@@fnjesusfreak Lol, that's ok it took me years before I ever found out who sung "Copperhead Road" or "Guitar Town". Thankfully today we have little apps like "sound hound" to help out on identifying the artist.
100%
Crazy is my choice. Written by Willie Nelson.
Mr05chuck Willie wrote so many of the country classics back in the early 60’s. My dad, God rest his soul, used to have a Willie, live in Fort Worth album in the late 60’s that we would listen to constantly. Either that or George Jones. I loved those old songs.
Truthfully I'd rather hear him sing it too.
They still have the paper " Crazy" was written on, under glass in Nashville at the recording studio.
Willie is also playing the fiddle in the background of the "video" for Patsy Cline's version of the song too.
I was just gonna say that they should lisyen to Crazy next.
I don't comment much, but Ella Fitzgerald needs her spotlight on this channel. I think she had one of the greatest voices of all time.
ABSOLUTELY!
Too many songs to choose as a favorite or best, from Ella, She is THAT amazing!
Ella 😍 I Can't Get Started With You is my fave
Ella. And then do some Sarah Vaughn.
Did she ever!
Patsy Cline- Sweet Dreams is a really good song. I listen to every January 4th because it my grandpa favorite song.❤ R.I.P Grandpa
I love Patsy Cline! One of the greatest women country singers ever!
One of the best singers period.
It's cool hearing Ryan talk about his dad 👍👊💪❤️
And the Brook Benton reference.
Ryan:
My Grandfather was the same as your dad...get out and work. I would do anything to have another one of those days- riding around together in his old beat-up Chevy pickup truck, going out to check the cattle. He took me to a drug store and we split a Rootbeer Float, just awesome! Thanks for sharing your story!
My favorite song by Patsy Cline is She's Got You. Please do a reaction to it.
I definitely agree. One of my favorite songs ever.
Love that song!
Oh, agreed!!!! That’s my favorite
Yup, my favorite too
Yessssss
FYI guys, the "Nashville Sound" referred to in her Wikipedia bio is a reference to a sound that became popular in the late 50s/early 60s that essentially injected a big dose of pop sounds, including doo-wop, rock-n-roll (not to be confused with hard rock), etc. It caused the genre to gain a larger following, but also brought a great deal of controversy within the traditional fanbase, who felt like the traditional sound was being rejected. Incidentally, it is also the style against which Outlaw Country (Willie Nelson, Kris Kristofferson, Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings) were responding.
One of my mom's favorite artists! She has that beautiful bluesy voice that she can break so easily! She was Loretta Lynn's biggest inspirations & they ended up being good friends & toured together.
My mom’s, also. An inspiration to me because we would listen to Patsy in the 60s (I was born in 64, yikes) sitting on our living room floor!
Patsy Cline is one of those rare cross-genre artists that has such great appeal.
You guys are looking for iconic country?
Marty Robnins - El Paso
Michael Argo that one is on the playlist of my heart
Now I have that song in my head, it's so unique.
Marty had such an amazing tonality.
Yes, yes,’yes!
Just about ANY song from Marty Robbins!
My mom sang Patsy Cline to me as a child so often that I knew all the words to her all her hits by age 3. Thank you for finally giving her a listen!
Got me up at 530 in the morning! Thank you for reacting! Loved it. Check out Crazy to see her vocal ranges. I believe that was her cross over song into pop
Hard to believe willie Nelson wrote crazy
@@ashleighray7503 Patsy's husband heard Willie sing 'crazy' in a bar and told him "you have to play this for Patsy, she will want to sing this song." they went straight to her house and woke her up in the middle of the night. She said "I have to do this song." she also refused to change Willie's cadence under the pressure of the record label. She really put Willie on the map. Hell of a woman.
YES! "CRAZY" will have to be next!
Can someone tell me how this comment was posted 2 weeks ago when this video was just posted yesterday?
@@erikaphillips1989 It posted on their Patreon Channel first.
Patsy Cline, Loretta lynn, kitty Wells all remind of riding with my PawPaw over to my great grandparents house to sit with them.
Kenpachi Fried Chicken. It'll kick your ass.
We need to more "sitting" with our elders. I know many are lonely.
I'm pushing 60 and my folks raised me on these tunes and artists and Patsy Cline can still bring a tear to my eyes. RIP Patsy, we love and miss you. Peace!
I alway felt a blues feeling to this song.
Great reaction! Patsy was wonderful. She is known for the song Crazy.
Speaking of Crazy! You have to listen to "Crazy" by Patsy. I think it's her best! Probably considered her crossover.
Patsy Cline saw herself as a shitkickin' cowgirl and she wanted to do country material only. But her producer, Owen Bradley, correctly perceived that Cline had a glorious pop voice, and they fought fiercely over what songs to record. All her biggest hits were songs that she had to be dragged kicking and screaming to record. btw your dad was right about Brook Benton, a truly great singer with a rich warm baritone. He still has not gotten his due
Thanks for giving Patsy Cline some recognition! She was incredible!
When I was a kid, my grandfather played the same album over and over in his truck. Hated it as a kid but now if I chance to here his favorite song it really makes me happy. Try out his song, Charlie Pride's Crystal Chandelier
Keith Jones same thing about this song
@@bryangrieme2913 Charlie Pride is a legend, I have every vinyl record of his...you wouldn't believe how much room I had to make to house them all. So many records the man cut.
Crystal Chandeliers is definitely one of Charlie Pride’s signature songs. Great one.
Found this song as a kid. Absolutely loved it. Mom would play it on a jukebox in a rundown old country bar. Great reaction. Stevie Ray Vaughn next!
Yes! 😄
Love Patsy Clone so much. I Fall To Pieces and Crazy were her biggest hits. My favorite however is Why Can't He Be You?. THANKS for including her
I would love to see the guys do Marty Robbins El Paso.
Justin Stare Classic county! And this would different than anything I’ve heard them react to.
this!! I can’t believe they haven’t done El Paso yet!
I suggested that one too!
Nah, Running Gun.
One of my favorite country songs ever!!
Vince Gill- go rest high on that mountain
yes! a missing country icon.
Yes!! It’s so beautiful
That is a great sugestion
Totally agree
Totally
Thank you so much for playing this song! Made my night. Great job as always...
I was introduced to Patsy Cline very early in age,but I grew to appreciate her once I started singing. She is an icon, my hero. I say like others, “Crazy “ is the song to React to. It shows much more or her vocal range.
Patsy Cline = LEGENDARY.. My personal all time favorite female vocalist.
Thanks for reacting to this one! It's my favorite country song.
I know crazy is the most famous but I love this one more ❤ great video as always
Merry Christmas guys. Thanks so much for this. Love Patsy Cline.. This is true country here. My other fav by her us Crazy!! You guys are the best!
I love your honest reactions time after time.
Saginaw Michigan- Lefty frizzel
Great story!
Y'all need to do "Crazy". For real.
I think Willie Nelson wrote 'Crazy', didn't he??
@@jobabs correct
He sure did.
Beautiful and powerful voice, I remember my mom playing Patsy when we were kids.
I have to say I love you guys! Have to! I can't get enough. I need more videos bc I've run out. Thank you for the variety and honesty. Keep it up!
Good song but Crazy is her trademark song.
Her tone is fabulous, rich and full with no autotune
Thanks guys for all your great reviews you 2 are amazing thanks for making my day
Legend. This channel is thoroughly entertaining and respectful to those that paved the way (while sometimes having to keep it real)
Sweet dreams - patsy cline To me is her best
Something about the intro...just gives me chills every time!
Same!!
@@Brimche Every time I hear Sweet Dreams I get goosebumps, and a tear in my eye.
Reba McEntire used to do an a capella version at her concerts...beautiful as well!
Patsy Cline had the GREATEST voice! You guys are alot of fun!
Just wanted to compliment y'all on such a good reaction show. You two are the best I've seen. Love how honest you are plus how you break down a song from the lyrics to the music and the voice.
You know I'm going to look up Brook Benton now. Loved your reactions. Patsy has some soul. Imagine what all she could've brought to us had she lived longer than 30 years.
Thanks guys. Appreciate y'all!
Riding with Private Malone by David Ball
It’s an amazing song!
React to Jeannie C. Riley " Harper Valley PTA"
Andrew Wyatt Yes! Harper Valley PTA is a classic country song.
This song is provocative and bias....still relevant today...
Please please please you guys will love the lyrics!!
My go to karaoke song. I tell ppl even if you cain't sang u can sang Harper Valley PTA ... And the lyrics r pure poetry.
This has been one of my favorite songs forever, I definitely wasn’t expecting to scroll through my UA-cam feed and see that you guys reacted to it 💀 love you guys
I LOVE the honesty in your discussions. Been listening since only about 60K subscribers, and you have always had great reactions. Nicely done, guys.
Whoa, a remakable life story. Likeable song. I like that she doesnt have the typical high pitched screechy female voice.
🎄Merry Christmas to both of you!
My dad was an electrician, and we did the same thing. He usually played either Hank Williams, Sr. or Eddy Arnold. Great memories!
Man you guys really do justice to misic in general. Love the reactions and love the open minded way you guys listen to all genres. Keep up the good work. Loving what youre doing.
She was only 34 years old when that was recorded...that voice was mature well beyond her age....an amazing singer.
She died when she was 30 yrs old. She died in a plane crash.
Y'all have to hear Tanya Tucker! Anyone else agree?
You betcha
Tanya Tucker - "Texas (When I Die)"
Yes yes, I've commented multiple times they should hear Two sparrows in a hurricane. Love her and that song
And Pam Tillis, the Judds, Trisha Yearwood omg I could go on
definitely
"Crazy" is, for me, essential Patsy Cline. It'll break your heart.
You guys bring so many different types of people together. I can’t express how much this is needed in society today. Y’all doing some great stuff keep it up!!! And Ronnie milsap stranger in my house.
Rainy Night in Georgia. Thanks for a great oldie. Adding it to my music. Oh gosh 8 track. I'm that old. Thanks boys, I so enjoy your reviews on some great classic.
I know she's known as a country icon, but I've always thought of her as a mixture of dowop/pop and rockabilly. Crazy is more country and so is Sweet Dreams of You.
Michelle Callahan Sweet Dreams & Crazy are two of my all time faves. She did the fun pop stuff well, but her voice was really made to sing love songs. Her cover of “Your Cheating Heart” is just breathtaking.
Can't go wrong with Patsy Cline. Thanks you guys for this.
You guys just have a great channel!! My favorite!!
Well your sensitivity and insight once again touched my heart.
Y'all should react to Ronnie milsap day dreams, smokey mountain rain, or hank Williams love sick blues
♪ I'm having daydreams about night things in the middle of the afternoon ♪?
Daydreams About Night Things is one of Ronnie Milsap’s better songs. On top of that, it would make a terrific one for y’all to react to.
Other ones by Ronnie that would be good are Stranger in My House or There’s (No Gettin’ Over Me).
Kenneth Abendroth yes!!
She has the best voice of all time.
Guys, I appreciate your cheerful, honest viewpoint doled out so freely. You’re always so mindful, so respectful of EVERYTHING, EVERYONE - as well as each other. Thank you!!! 🙏
Missed you guys. THANK YOU SO MUCH for giving background info before the video. I think this will help the unknowing connect better.
do "crazy", my late paps fave & now mine. very original & great, hit wonder
When. LeAnne Rimes first came out everyone said she sounded like pasty especially in LeAnne song Blue
At 13 years old... I was very impressed especially watching her live on TV, she sounds exactly the same as the album.
@@edgarpryor3233 same for me
Blue was written for Patsy, but she never got it because of her death.
@@PoetGrl89 thanks for the info. I didn't know that.
I love y’all reaction to this!
I just found you guys. Great job!!! Great songs are the real songs that you can feel!
I'm not a country lover, but Patsy is down right amazing... Got to give love n respect where it's due.
My favorite Patsy Cline song is "She's Got You." Check it out sometime.
Great insights on this reaction. Thanks for sharing your personal story. That's what music is all about!
Thanks guys. Great video.
I grew up on country music. My pawpaw would always have something like this playing on his record player. I’d like for you to do a reaction to Ray Price and the best song would be Night Life. Very iconic and the epitome of the Nashville sound. Jim Reaves is also a great choice.
Temple of the Dog “Say Hello to Heaven”
Seriously, seriously, seriously underappreciated piece of the 90s. It is all that Seattle music could be.
This is a must.
We need more people to request it.
Shocked to see you guys react to this one! I’m only 19 and my mom played this, along with MANY other 50’s, 60’s country songs, so this is a huge throwback, one that brings back memories. Appreciate you two!
Brook Benton and Dinah Washington fabulous voices that compliment each other. Baby (you got what it takes) A Rockin Good Way I believe... Beautiful timeless songs.
One of the amazing things about her is that over 90% of her recordings were done in 1 take, so essentially, you are listening to her live.
Please do Don Williams
I was just thinking that too. "I Believe In You."
Dustin & Blake great choice! My favorite of all country singers!👍🏼
My favorite. I love all his stuff
I think they should do atrio with Don Williams. Do his version of Amanda then Waylon's version and then stapleton's
Tulsa Time is his signature and would be good.
Another great one is I’ve Been Loved By the Best.
You guys are AWESOME !!!
Good review guys. I agree, this song always makes me smile.
Alright, sweet! Good job guys! Now, please try out Ricky Skaggs "Country Boy" or "Highway 40 Blues" Thanks!
Jason Monholland These would also be the two I’d pick for Ricky Skaggs. Great stuff! And this would be a type of sound that they haven’t reacted to yet. Very bluegrassy.
Look at my buddy caleb Daugherty band. Great bluegrass band. Just charted on billboard top 20
Randy Travis - I Told You So
My dad would call me on Saturday mornings and asked what I was doing..I would say Patsy and I are making the bed, washing clothes, etc. He bought me her complete works. Awesome songs! Great reaction guys! Merry Christmas and a happy New Year. Keep it real!
It's crazy, I've been with you guys since 13,000 subscribers when I joined. You guys are still rocking it and are so versatile and impressive. Keep up the good work, sorry just haven't gotten into patreon yet. Still on the fence.

My earliest memories of riding in the car with my mother were of her singing along to Patsy Cline. I still listen to her music. What a talent. Hard to believe she was gone at 30 years of age. She's Got You is one of my absolute favorites of Patsy's.
Blackhawk- Goodbye says it all.
wynona judd - no one else on earth

One of my absolute favorites. I've been listening to her and the Judd's Christmas album today.
Judds - Grandpa

Sweet Dreams!
The very definition of Nashville country. A sweeping ballad. Emotional heart on the sleeve (rare for the time)
