I knew this song from Garth’s early days and I loved it but until my husband was killed in an accident it didn’t mean as much. Once I lost him I knew exactly what the song meant. - he was the love of my life and he did show me how much he loved me. ❤❤
I know the feeling I lost my husband to cancer. This songs means more to me now then it did in Garth's early days because I can relate to it in a different way.
I am sorry for your loss. I lost my wife to cancer in July of 2021. Garth Brooks is from my state. I have always enjoyed listening to Garth, as did my wife. However, Garth has crossed a line by indirectly supporting transgenderism. Let me explain. As I am sure you are aware Bud light and AB are being boycotted due the Mulvaney incident. Now Garth has opened a bar/restaurant in Nashville claiming he will have Bud Light in his new bar and basically called the AB boycotters a-holes. This has sent a whole lot of his fans against him to the point they are burning and destroying any products they have bought of Garth's. It is a sad situation, I mean, all he had to do was keep his mouth shut concerning the AB products he was going to try to sale in his bar and for sure not call anybody names.
My husband died in aug 2021 from covid n pneumonia. This was one of his favorite songs to me. Hold your wife close and make every memory that you can, bc tomorrow is not promised.
This song touches me everything I hear it. I LOST MY HUSBAND IN 2011. I miss him everyday and love him always. Always tell Ali I love you and never go to sleep in anger. TOMORROW MAY NEVER COME.
I know how you feel I lost mine to Cancer in 2014 and it was the 10th anniversary of his passing. I miss him every day! But I have 43 years of memories until I see him again. God Bless
Lost my wife to cancer 29 years ago, never remarried and never stopped loving and missing her...she was the love of my life, and we were both fans of Garths music
I never thought that I would outlive my husband of 48 yrs. I lost him 6 yrs ago to cancer but this sure came to be special to me. He has come to me since - I've felt his hand on my shoulder and one day he was sitting in his chair and we talked and talked, I went to take his hand, and my hand went right through his. We could easily have done another 48 yrs. I asked him if I could go with him when he was near the end. He said "No. You still have so much to do. I'll be there when it's your turn and show you all the beauty on the other side." So - it's taken awhile but I've learned to deal with it; knowing he's there, watching over me and waiting for me. He is the love of my life and every morning he'd wake before me, watch me, and when I woke, said "Good morning beautiful".
I left on Christmas day, 1992 for Desert Storm. The night before I deployed, we watched a VHS of a Garth Brooks concert. Since we had never had a formal wedding reception, my wife and I decided that this was "our song", that we wished we could have had our first dance to. Coming up to our 52nd Anniversary, this is still the song that hits so many spots for us.
@@cog4life I never - NEVER - ever leave my wife or kids without telling them 'I love you'. I could walk out that door and be hit by a bus...or drop dead on the sidewalk. I want that last words they heard from me to be 'I love you'.
Every time I hear The Dance I call my ex and tell him I love him. We share two children and remain very good friends, and I wouldn't trade our time together for anything. It always makes me cry.
I lost my wife of 26 years unexpectedly in 2017 at only 47 years of age. The one solace that I still take is that we never once parted ways or ended a conversation without expressing our love for one another. Partially from the admonishment that this song provides, but also because I had a close friend in college that I had a stupid argument with and was killed in a car accident later that very night. It still gnaws at me that we left it on a sour note like that. Additionally, six months before she passed my wife and I were given the opportunity to see Garth on July 4th in Vegas. It was the last trip we got to take and I get to hold on to that happy memory for the remainder of my life.
My son lost his wife last August. One of the hardest things our family has had to go through. The one thing he can say is, he told her always how much he loved her. She was the love of his life and always made sure she knew that. I could not be more proud of the man his is!
I lost my partner of 28 years , we were huge Garth fans. Loved to dance to this song. Now that he is gone , its hard to listen to it , but he knew how much I loved him.
It's been ten years since I lost my husband and this song still turns on the tears after the first few notes. It so perfectly describes the things we should all think about. We're all going to die some day, and although that's a tough fact to process it's definitely worth thinking about.
I wish Garth could know about each & every person that has that song engraved on their hearts. My husband was terminally ill & while she didn’t really want to talk about, our only child would crawl into bed with me. I would watch her sleeping & hear this song in my head. Despite the crushing blow when he died, I knew I had to be strong & show her “each and every day” how much she was loved ❤
I saw him twice live. He’s an amazing performer. The first time I got to see him it was for $5.00 at the Strawberry Festival in Plant City,Florida. Second time was in an arena where he fly through the air over the audience. He’s just an amazing performer.
I've been blessed enough to see Garth twice in concert. He puts on the best show I've ever seen. Even when you are in the last row (like I was the first time), you feel as if you were standing in the front row. His energy is ridiculous.
The first time I heard this song, Garth sang it at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville. It was his first ever performance and before he became the famous musician he is now. I was with my grandparents, who have both passed. This song makes me cry every time I hear it, as it brings back many memories, one of the best seeing and meeting Garth after this performance.
I grew up around Garth. Such a good person, absolutely wonderful music aside. I taught his daughters in high school, he and Trish would bring us pizzas. A superstar in music and everyday life. Much love from Owasso, Oklahoma
THE BEST thing about this, and him, is that he *truly, understands Love*. It seems that the true concept has gotten lost for the most part. IT’S NOT ABOUT HIM. Or his feelings about what he possesses or needs. On the news when they interview someone who’s child got shot or sister got hit by a drunk driver, they almost always say, “Now I will never have them again.” I never thought much of it, until my dad died from cancer while I was just growing my own family. I had a 1 yr old and a 3 yr old, and a 16 yr old. He loved and adored them so much, and SO WELL. He came by every evening after hanging out with his friends. He really didn’t want to die because of coarse he has always wanted to look out for me and make sure I would always be a okay and he enjoyed watching my children grow and change every single day, and he loved watching me grow into a great mother. I really liked that he got to see that. ❤️. He was on hospice at home and I’m an RN so basically I wouldn’t let anyone else take care of him but me. I was very protective just like he was. When he passed I was laying next to him holding his hand while just resting with my stethoscope on his chest. Then ~he left~. The coroner and hospice nurse came right away and, I’ll never forget, someone said, “I’m sorry for your loss.”. I remember feeling kind of confused by the comment and thought, ‘WHAT are you talking about??!’. My dad just lost his life, when he didn’t want to. Why would you feel bad for me?? HE is the one who lost everything! Feel sorry for his loss, not mine. THAT is love. Now when I hear family members on the news say, “I will never have them again for the rest of my life.”, it sounds very different to me. Why are they thinking about themselves so much and what they need? (I mean it’s a given of coarse, I talk to my dad all the time and could REALLY REALLY have used him around over the last few years. I have missed and needed him so badly. But I wouldn’t want him to know that because then he would feel bad about leaving too soon.) Garth wants to make sure SHE is loved. He gets it. Very cool guy.
What an amazing daughter. I have a son that I am proud of but I was never blessed with a daughter.. Had I been and she was anything like you, I would have felt extremely blessed.
If you go to one of his concerts, they are the most energetic, engaging, happy, fun, gut wrenching experiences, all balled into one, shows you can go to! You will leave with smile, and a tear stained face. The most “screwed with” emotions you can imagine!
Thank you for this reaction! You are a man of compassion. After 42 years of marriage, I lost my sweet husband after a very brief battle with cancer. He showed and told me every day of his love and gave me enough to last the rest of my life here!
I went to OSU, where Garth went as well, in Stillwater, Oklahoma. He was such a great guy! He actually sang at our friend’s wedding way back when! What a talent!
This was released at the time I was really getting into country music. This one put a lump in y throat then. It just did it again since I lost my hubby 2 years ago. I was able to tell him how I felt before he passed and that brings me comfort.
Songs like make me cry my eyes out. I have know idea how singers can perform songs like this with any passion and emotion and not feel it enough to become overtaken with emotion. Garth live is an experience not to be missed sometime in your life. If you haven’t yet, you may be out of luck. He’s a phenomenal showman!
I lost my husband and soulmate unexpectedly Jan 2015. He was never sick a day in his life and was strong as an ox! He said he loved me every day, but more importantly, he SHOWED me every single day. 💞 We had almost a fairytale kind of love. Our life was far from perfect, but our love held strong. We suffered through the loss of our 18 yr old son and both of his parents, but having such a strong bond of love & support is what got us through. My husband actually passed at 4 am on my son's birthday! 💔 Though it's been over 8 years now, I still feel "married" and couldn't imagine seeing someone else. It almost feels unfair to whoever the new guy would be! I experienced pure, unconditional love and, honestly, that is enough to last until I see him again. 👍 I saw a meme online that says it perfectly. "I'm not a widow; I'm a wife. My husband awaits me on the other side." 😘
I love ❤ Garth Brooks!!!! I have been to few concerts of his and saw him at the Opry. He is amazing and probably my top favorite country singer ever. Many of his songs hit home to me in losing loved ones but also other greatttt songs too. His wife Trisha Yearwood “the Queen” he calls her, is amazing as well. Grew up listening to them both before they ever got married even. Great person over all. ❤ Garth Brooks
My dad used to pick & sing country when I was growing up & he rewrote the lyrics to this to say “they” instead of she & when he performed it he would open by saying he wanted to sing to his daughters (my sister & me) because he lived his life rough & he wanted to make sure we knew how much he loved us if he passed….the first time it came on the radio after he passed I lost it….great memories now, thank you
I saw Garth Brooks in concert in 1993! A loong time ago haha! He was phenomenal in concert! The man puts everything into his preformances! He considers every person in the audience and where they are seated to make sure they get the very best experience! A must to see him live!
My father passed on May 7 of this year and my parents were married for 52 years. This song makes me cry because I think of my mom and dad’s love they had for each other.
OMG!! My favorite artist of ALL time!! Have never seen him in concert and it saddens me, but thankfully to Prime music, I can listen to his greatest hits album!!
Garth Brooks is amazing live! I have been blessed to have seen him 3 times including at the Grand Ole Opry! He is the only one I would ever lay down $500+ to see though never had to pay even half of that for 2 tickets!
The most amazing thing about Garth is that some of his best music from his fantastic albums was never released as a single. That's why he has more Diamond selling albums than any artist in any genre in music history. Thanks for the reaction.
I lost my husband 4 months ago and I love this song. I know how much we loved each other and I miss him every day in my soul. I'd give anything for just one more day. Thank you for reacting to this even though I cried all the way through it.
On a happier note, I have seen Garth in concert & he may be a country artist, but rock & roll is in his soul! I went to the 2nd performance of the night (he did that because the original performances sold out so fast & he didn’t want to let his fans down ❤) & he played for 3 hours! The energy was off the charts! AMAZING!
Great reaction. I was able to see Garth twice in concert and each time it was a True exhilarating experience. At each cocnert when there woud normally be a intermission , his band took a break but not Garth ; he performed with a ton of energy. The concerts would of been a bargain at twice the price of what it was.
"If Tomorrow Never Comes", "The Dance", "Friends In Low Places", "The Thunder Rolls", and "Much Too Young To Feel This Damn Old" are the epitome of the best of Garth Brooks from his first 2 albums. There are others, and there are others from the following albums, but these songs set the tone for the beginning of one of country music's greatest artists. I actually met him in person, not at a concert, but on a street corner in East Lansing, Michigan. There is a pool hall/arcade in downtown East Lansing called Pinball Pete's. I would go there late at night/early morning, so on this night, I was going in about 2am to shoot some pool and unwind. As I drove down the street to find a place to park, I saw a line of touring busses parked next to the Marriot hotel on the corner. I park, and walked down the street towards the pool hall and the touring busses. I saw people carrying boxes and luggage into the hotel, and eventually I walked past the lead bus when someone came out and said, "Hey buddy, what are you doing at this time of night?" I turned toward him and realized it was Garth Brooks himself! We shook hands, talked some small talk, and while I am not the kind to get starstruck since I've met many other celebs in my time, the realization that he was my favorite artist and I was having a rare opportunity with him made me nervous! I actually invited him to shoot some pool with me, which he politely declined since he had another concert in East Lansing that day and he needed to catch some sleep. We shook hands again, and I went across the intersection to the pool hall. The whole time I was racking and taking shots it ran through my head, "Oh my God, I just met Garth Brooks!" I'll just say that he's very down to earth, looks you in the eye as he speaks or listens to you, very polite, and you can sense the genuineness from him. Totally made my night though! When i got home a couple hours later, my dad was on the phone checking on us from work. I said, "You'll never guess who I met tonight?" and he just outright said, "I dunno, Garth Brooks?" It was sorta well known that he was in town for a couple days of concerts at the Breslin Center, so I guess it was easy to figure out.
I lost my wife of 42 yrs 3 yrs ago. Due to the covid lockdown we never really say goodbye properly. This is a beautiful message people need to take serious. One song that really gets to me now since her passing is "Into The Mystic", I'd heard it many times before but never with a widower's ear. Took on a whole other meaning after that.
First concert I ever went to in my life was Garth Brooks I was like 10 and he played at the Union County NC fair. It was amazing and in my opinion he still great and a legend!! Loving your videos!! And yep I assumed you would cry lol
I am always so shocked when I see younger people have never heard these songs. It makes me sad. My kids all know the older, even the 40s music and classical music and bagpipes!. I, as a mom, play everything
I’ve seen him twice. He is one of the BEST PERFORMERS EVER! There is something going on with each song. Think BLOW OUT Rock shows set in a Country Concert. One show with his Song “Ain’t Going Home Till The Sun Comes Up” he was on a Zip Line & went from the Stage all the way up to the top of the Stadium! Come over the top of us…Epic!!!
I have always loved Garth Brooks, but like many others, it took losing my son to a drunk driver in 1996 to get the full effect. It has taken me years to be able to listen to it with crying. Thanks for what you do.
Sebs, I've been a Garth Brooks fan since first hearing his music in 1991-92(?). His music is classic, relatable, and enjoyable. My first child was due the day of my first Garth concert (TK held out for another week). It was a really long night on the floor of Thompson-Boling arena, but worth every minute of the show. Thanks for your reviews, I really enjoy watching them!
9/26/2021 - I lived these emotions as I lost my husband of nearly 30 years to COVID. He was in ICU for a month before he passed. Still reeling from the loss of his life, our life, our plans. Touches my heart.
If you’ve never had the opportunity to go to a Garth Brooks concert live then I would highly recommend making it a bucket list item. There is absolutely nobody better live. And that’s saying a lot. The passion and energy he puts into every single show is incredible. Even my friends who aren’t country music fans that said they despise the genre loved it.
I saw him live early vin his career and I will say next to the Keith Urban concert, Garth delivered far above anyone's expectations. It was powerful stuff. A lot of physical actions on his part. It was great!
Even these slower songs that Garth does take on an energy, a wave, that pushes out to the crowd and has the punch of Mike Tyson. He has the kick of many bands like Zeppelin or the Stones that I've seen. And, he rarely stands in one place for long. He is everywhere. Great hearing this again.
Finally saw him 1st time ever in Minneapolis 2019 after being a 30+ year fan...I could watch him sing every night & still be as equally entertained. My all time favorite performer!
This song has always been mu all time favorite. But it took on all new meaning when I lost my wife of 20 years in 2023. This song has helped me through in so many ways
When I first heard Garth Brooks sing when I lived in Houston, I thought it was George Strait. I was listening to "The Dance", thought it was George Strait but that's how I discovered Garth Brooks. He has so many great songs, you need to go down the rabbit hole. "Full House" is another good one.
As a conceet goer of 55 years, I saw Garth at the top of his game. It was a great show and featured the most spectacular, original, and surprising opening of a concert I've ever seen.
I lost my husband of 19 1/2 years 9 years ago on the 26th of June. When we first fell in love we promised never leave without a kiss goodbye and telling one another "I love you ". He came by my work on my break, we kissed said I love you and see you this afternoon..but that afternoon never came for him a little less than an hour later he was gone from a heart attack. You never know when the last time for a kiss, a hug, a touch, and an I love will be. I hold that last chance so close. God bless and comfort every one that has lost the other half of their heart.
I was the Head Football coach in Copperas Cove, Texas when a madman drove into a Luby's restaurant in Killeen and killed 23 and wounded 27. This was played at the funeral of a school board member who was one of the first shot. This song and "The Dance" were both played. I had never heard these songs before and will never forget them.
I just wanted to say I love the way u talk about your beautiful wife Alley! You just seem to really love her an respect her so much an always talking about her so so much! Your something else to her a man speak of his wife like u do. Amazing! $or a man to talk like that about. the love of his life is unbelievable. Shows the depth of ur feelings man! Your simple great! Always feel that way an don't lose those thoughts! So nice to here!
My husband used to sing this to me. It was our special song....then tomorrow didn't come. He passed away after a long battle with cancer. He was intubated and sedated. I never got to hear him tell me bye. I'm crying and you haven't even played the song yet! Lol
Thank you for your reaction. It really is a gorgeous song. He is amazing live. A true showman. Still didn't stop me having tears running down my face though.
I have seen Garth live & he puts on a hell of a show & he sounds the same live as he does on his CD's. During the pandemic he & his wife Trisha Yearwood used to do live performances in their home studio UA-cam & other social media. People would ask for a song & he would play it on his guitar & sing. She sang some of her songs too. It was very cool
Yesterday made 10 years since I lost my husband who was also my best friend. Thankfully I know exactly how much he loved me cause he showed it every single day. I still miss him so much and true love never dies.
My husband was my best friend. The Lord needed him back 10 years ago.we werre togeather from 12 years old. I was lost without him. Its been a very rough road. Very alone..... this song goes right to my heart.
You can NOT imagine the depth of loss of a spouse. I lost my husband 3 years ago after 30+ years married and 36+ years friends. I CAN say, I have absolutely no doubt of his love for me and our son, he showed us every single day. Be present, offer Grace and really enjoy the ride, it can be over in the blink of an eye.
He shouldn’t have said anything. He ended up 🔝 protecting a company during a boycott who were guilty of trying to advertise beer to minors. He probably had extended the boycott by a year.
I took one of my daughters on a daddy/daughter date to see Garth. She was 34 years old and we made memories that night. I am so blessed that my daughters are & do want to be a part of my life.
Love for the ones that are still here needs to be spoken aloud daily! I love you is the last thing we say when the phone call is done or walking out the door!! My 17 yr old son and I just say “More”! We would tell each other “I love you more’”! We both want to get the last word said.
I knew this song from Garth’s early days and I loved it but until my husband was killed in an accident it didn’t mean as much. Once I lost him I knew exactly what the song meant. - he was the love of my life and he did show me how much he loved me. ❤❤

Thank you all for your service
Was played at my son's funeral in 1991. Powerful song. So tell your loved ones how you feel. Tomorrow isn't promised
Amen

I love this song, but my very favorite is “The Dance”! They both have very powerful messages!! Love Garth ❤
The Dance has touched so many...deeply!
We reacted to that one a while back, it’s a beautiful song!
Try "The Thunder Rolls". His very best imo.
Every time I hear The Dance I call my ex and tell him I love him. We share two children and remain very good friends, and I wouldn't trade our time together for anything. It always makes me cry.
The Dance gives me goosebumps each and every time i hear it.

As a widow this song means so much. Gath does some beautiful ballads. Would LOVE to see you react to his song, Unanswered prayers.

Garth Brooks, Every Woman and Fever... Not to mention the energy of his live shows.
Thank you for this reaction! You are a man of compassion. After 42 years of marriage, I lost my sweet husband after a very brief battle with cancer. He showed and told me every day of his love and gave me enough to last the rest of my life here!
I was with my husband for 23 and a half years before loosing him to cancer.
@@seannaobrien4145 I'm so sorry! My heart goes out to you.
Thank you . Both of our husbands made sure they loved us every day and gave us enough love to last a lifetime.
The steel work on this song is outstanding
I went to OSU, where Garth went as well, in Stillwater, Oklahoma. He was such a great guy! He actually sang at our friend’s wedding way back when! What a talent!
I absolutely love this song ❤
This was released at the time I was really getting into country music. This one put a lump in y throat then. It just did it again since I lost my hubby 2 years ago. I was able to tell him how I felt before he passed and that brings me comfort.
So sorry for your loss.
One of my favorite songs of all time. Thanks
❤
I lost my husband and soulmate unexpectedly Jan 2015. He was never sick a day in his life and was strong as an ox! He said he loved me every day, but more importantly, he SHOWED me every single day. 💞 We had almost a fairytale kind of love. Our life was far from perfect, but our love held strong.
We suffered through the loss of our 18 yr old son and both of his parents, but having such a strong bond of love & support is what got us through. My husband actually passed at 4 am on my son's birthday! 💔
Though it's been over 8 years now, I still feel "married" and couldn't imagine seeing someone else. It almost feels unfair to whoever the new guy would be! I experienced pure, unconditional love and, honestly, that is enough to last until I see him again. 👍
I saw a meme online that says it perfectly. "I'm not a widow; I'm a wife. My husband awaits me on the other side." 😘
This is such a beautiful song. ✌❤🎶
I believe the last two sentences are the most meaningful lyrics ever put to music.
Seb, your silent expressions are a thousand words of how much you absorb the songs power and affect your emotions
I love Garth. Found him in the '80s. Love his Friends In Low Places. His TV specials are legendary.
Awesome thanks for this one ! It is one of my Favorite Garth Brooks Tunes ❤❤ ROCKING HERE IN NORTHWEST OHIO 🎉🎉🎉🎉😊❤
Loved your commentary about this. So nice to listen to a guy who seems to live with a grateful heart. We need more of that in our world. Thank you .🤗
I lost my husband 4 months ago and I love this song. I know how much we loved each other and I miss him every day in my soul. I'd give anything for just one more day. Thank you for reacting to this even though I cried all the way through it.
This is a beautiful song. I hope you listen to it with Allie! Your reaction to this one is so touching.
I got to see Garth live in the early 90s, he is phenomenal. Its not a concert, its an event . So much energy goes into his shows .
Thanks! Love watching your reactions! Your family is precious! From Ben Wheeler, Texas
You are so kind. I feel like the luckiest man on earth.
Such an amazing song. So powerful!! Thank you for the reaction! Garth does not disappoint!!
This is an example of a song being perfectly written. He's done that more than a few times. Timeless
Kent Blazy wrote it. Garth takes credit for the concept.
Standing outside the fire. Is a powerful song as well. Has alot of meaning. The video put a second view of the song. ❤❤❤❤
I have seen Garth twice, a very long time ago! He puts on a great show!
I just truly love all your reactions... We are all blessed.
If you didn't realize, that wasn't studio recorded, that was him live....
Thanks!
Thank you for the support!
Tak!
Thank you for the support! And my wife's family is Danish! Thank you for being here.
What can you say. Garth Brooks + beautiful lyrics=magic
Hi Sebs, I can see from watching the look on your face the words of this song hit you in the soul. You and Ali are lucky to have eachother. God Bless.
❤❤❤beautiful song❤️ I miss my granddaughter. But I know she knew how much I loved her 😊❤
I lost my husband of 19 1/2 years 9 years ago on the 26th of June.
I've seen him twice. Best show ever!!
LOST MY HUSBAND 38 YEARS AGO AND THIS SONG STILL GETS ME. YES LOVE DOES ENDURE
My son overdosed in July last year, but he was our heart. He couldn't be more loved.
Lol
Sorry for your terrible loss. Hold on though because you will be together again one day…I know it.👍❤️
Absolutely share your love with that special someone
Thank you for your reaction. It really is a gorgeous song. He is amazing live. A true showman. Still didn't stop me having tears running down my face though.
Was at both Notre Dame concerts, absolutely fabulous live.
The story and the delivery makes a great song which this one is!
I know this song as a pop ballad version of Ronan Keating , also beautiful!! Thx for reacting 🎤🎶💜
This one of my favorite songs, I have played it for my other half a few times now in the past 24yrs of our relationship
This was written for Garth’s oldest daughter, love it, love love Garth Brooks he’s an amazing artist but a amazing human being
Yesterday made 10 years since I lost my husband who was also my best friend.
I love this song. I lost my love 10 years ago. And his love was enough we were together for 23 years. And he was my person and always will be
You can NOT imagine the depth of loss of a spouse. I lost my husband 3 years ago after 30+ years married and 36+ years friends. I CAN say, I have absolutely no doubt of his love for me and our son, he showed us every single day. Be present, offer Grace and really enjoy the ride, it can be over in the blink of an eye.
Garth, the "Bud Light" of country music singers.
He shouldn’t have said anything. He ended up 🔝 protecting a company during a boycott who were guilty of trying to advertise beer to minors. He probably had extended the boycott by a year.
Love this song, especially after my husband passed. 💖
Honestly, only because I have NOT seen Chris Stapleton live…yet, Garth’s concert here, in my hometown, was amazing! Best concert as of yet…
