Had my son in high-school. Danced to this when he was 2 at my wedding. Now getting ready to dance to it at his wedding for the mother son dance!
Love that.
Super cool.
That is beautiful!
That is beautiful.... thanks for sharing...
Well I wasn't crying.... Till now! I had my daughter right after high school so I relate.
That's why this is my song, pregnant in high school, no money, struggling to be a good mom; scared to death because I didn't I'm know if I could do it! Well, here we are today n he's 26 and accomplished. Served 8 years in the army, works for the sheriff's office and just got married to his soul mate. So I wouldn't ever trade me struggles for a single thing!!
Another brilliant example of a positive message with a cleaver twist on words. The country genre does that better than all others.
The first chorus and last chorus are the same lyrics but the meaning is opposite.
This song came out when my daughter was about 6 months old. She is in college to be a nurse now. You're NEVER ready for that, so cherish them while they are little. And this song hits so different when your girl is grown. Makes me cry now (in a good way). 🥲
I heard Kenny say that he loves it when he sings this song during his concerts, and all the young women call their fathers, put them on speaker and hold up their phones.
Kenny *LOVES* the "young girls" 😉 his female companion is young enough to be his daughter. Kenny is almost 18 yrs older than her. He was born in March 1968...the girl he plays "house" with, born in Aug 1985! She was born 9 months before he graduated high school. ...
@@jo-andahoe9806 he’s giving Leonardo DiCaprio a run for his money. He’s currently 48, dating a 19 year old! Now that’s gross.
I’m a dad to 5, 4 of which are girls a couple are grown and making their own lives but two are still in middle school. This song hits home every single time I hear it. i think it perfectly captures the feeling of watching our kids grow. Cannot go wrong with anything by Kenny Chesney!!
This is such a true song.
It's a sweet loving song.
Don't worry. This song always makes people cry. I grew up on old school country. They sang about everything and those songs took you on a full emotional roller coaster.
Most people miss that the daughter finishes off the guy's dreams from the first verse, too...as she heads off to the coast! 😉 I love this song. Like others here have said, you can't go wrong with ANY Kenny Chesney song 💕🎶👍
I wrote that as well then came down to read some remarks and seen that you had written the same thing. So I deleted mine.
Never noticed that thanks for pointing it out!
Yes! He says.." Seeing his dreams go up in smoke. So much for ditching this town and hanging out on the coast." Then she "heads of the west coast." So beautiful!❤
OMG i'm an old rock girl, but this is beautiful. Never heard it before. Then i woke up and smelled the coffee.
I love this song. I have 3 kids. They grow up so fast. I remember moving my middle daughter into her dorm for collage and leaving her there. It was awful. she was only 1 1/2 hrs away but it was still so hard. Like I said, time goes so fast. Seems like yesterday but she graduated 1 yr ago, Enjoy your kids while they are still little!!!!!!
"you're going to miss this" is a great song by Trace Adkins. I think it is the perfect song for you, especially at this time in your life. It's a song about slowing down and cherishing every moment you have because time goes by so fast.
Yeah tats the video we need from Sebs!
That little girl going up the stairs looks just like my daughter did. And now my granddaughter looks just like that now. My daughter is in North Carolina and we are in Washington state so I cry at this video. Dropping my daughter off at college in South Dakota was the hardest I have ever cried in my life.
How many people notice that the song starts and ends the same way?
The daughter heads off to the west coast to fulfill her dad's dream that he never got to do...and took (symbolically, in the form of that picture) her parents with her.
Such a beautiful sentiment!! He has an extensive catalogue.
I've been a huge Garth Brooks fan, since his beginning. I've been to 4 amazing concerts. I've gone to one Kenny Chesney concert, and it was the best show I've ever seen.
Kenny Chesney is a rabbit hole must. Huge talent with great songs
As a teen mom that is now an empty nester, put this in your Playlist and listen to it periodically. It seems like you have plenty of time, but when it's time for them to fly from the nest, it seems like it went by in the blink of an eye. It's so cliché to say but it really does.
My baby girl just turned 20 and all I can think about is were did the time go.
Kenny Chesney has so many great songs! Great live too.
Tim McGraw was my first Country concert 🎵 and Kenny Chesney was my 2nd. I’ve seen them both several times. My husband cried when this song was played at our daughter graduation
Great reaction young man! Love the contrast of his dream moving to the West coast and his daughter is the one who went there! Love from Texas!!!
Great reaction. It is neat that the chorus has 3 different meanings through the song.
Kenny is a beach guy & not your typical cowboy, country singer. He loves his jeans & he loves his board shorts & tank tops. He has a ton of great music. Cool tunes like this & fun party songs.
I bought this album when it came out in 2004. Loved it. But that second verse brings me to tears since 2019 when I finally had my daughter.
Great to see you back! Beautiful song and reaction! God bless 💜
Kenny Chesney has an amazing catalog of songs . Some sad but alot of upbeat and fun songs . One of those artist that sound just as good live on a beach with 50,000+ people as he does on radio. BEST CONCERT EVER......
This song always makes me cry
I think you are now appreciative of the beauty in country music and making us all love it. Thank you.😅
One of my favorites
Trace Adkins - You're Gonna Miss This - is another one of those songs that really hits you as a parent! I highly recommend it.
"I have a lot of time". Yeah I said that once, and now all five kids are grown and last one is about to move out.....No, you don't have a lot of time. This reaction is one year old. How fast did that go by? Enjoy and cherish every second while they are young. I'd give 10 years of the time I have remaining for just a week of them all being kids again.
I’ve seen Kenny 5 times in concert. He so great live. It’s a party!! 🎉 Love your reactions.
I have heard the song a million times...it is one of my favorites... And I still tear up every time.
Dude, you have a genuine soul. Good for you. You have a heart that is genuine.
This song came out the same year that my brother was expecting his first child, and it was right after he graduated from high school… can’t believe it’s been 20 years of living my beautiful niece ❤️❤️❤️
i a 58 my daughter is 37 and i remember every smile she has given me cause there are so precious
Great song! And yes that is Amber Heard.. love your reactions!
My oldest just enrolled in college, graduates in May, and moves out in just a few months- I'm still not ready! Cherish your time with your little ones.
honestly bro, watching your country reactions has been the most wholesome joy I've experienced in a while.
We appreciate how a good cry can make you appreciate what is important.
My wife and I play this song whenever my son goes out of the country to visit his grandparents.
Need to listen to Boys of Fall by Kenny Chesney, my son played football from the time he was 7, he's 32 now. Definitely watch the video. Song/video had us in tears because of all of the memories. Pretty sure Kenny played football.
Kenny played college football for the Tennessee Volunteers. He is really a pretty small guy but he stays in shape. He is also a lot of fun a d very hum le a d generous.
Had to drop out of dental school because I was 22 with a baby on the way..she’s now in her 20’s heading into the medical field..she’s my life and I never regretted it!!!! She’s doing her future now!❤️
My first time ever hearing this song. Good reaction.
Such a tear jerker. Love Chesney, he’s one of my all time favorite country singers.
Country Music (especially 90s Country) tells it like it is and if there’s any emotion that you’re dealing with, this genre will bottle those feelings up and make music that will hopefully help you. My favorite songs from Kenny Chesney are That’s Why I’m Here; The Tin Man; All I Need to Know; Grandpa Told Me So; You Win, I Win, We Lose; There Goes My Life; While He Still Knows Who I Am; Me and You; Who You’d Be Today; Don't Blink, A Chance; Fall in Love; and Every Other Weekend (duet with Reba McEntire).
One of my favorite songs. Also listen to "Blink" . Cant say "Ive ever heard a bad song from him" loving your❤❤❤reactions
As a father of a girl I can’t help but cry when I hear this. Straight ballin! 😢
We had our first in high school, have 3 now and been together 26 years. The first time I played this for my wife she was fit to kill me after the first verse 😅 then cried after lol
We had twin girls almost 40 years ago now. I still remember the smiles and hugs when they were little. And they're the same even today. Fathers of daughters. Nothing like it.
I love how every meaningful country song about dads or daughters makes you emotional. It shows how much you love your own daughters and I'm sure you're a wonderful dad to them.
We have two boys and this song still resonates so deeply.
I like ALOT of Kenny Chesney. Have a great day. Love and life are made to share and appreciate. Thanks for getting the song out there because the message is ALL HEART
Cherish them while you can that time goes by so fast!!
Great Reaction.......
Kenny has songs the are Fun: "She Thinks my Tractor's Sexy" and songs that are emotional "Don't Blink" "The Good Stuff"......
He Toured with Tim McGraw a couple times.......
Kenny Chesney has a LOT of great hits to listen to. Some great beach/summer songs as well! Check out Summertime!
One of my fav vids of all time. Great song and sooooooooooooooo real life. Great reaction as usual.
I met my wife in high school, I am 32 and we have been married 11 years now. We brought 3 sons into this world together and saved a boy who is now our 4th and youngest son. This song always manages to get me in my feelings.
My daughter got pregnant at 17yrs old and I had to raise my grandbaby for the first few years of her life.. love them to the moon and back
Seb, If ya noticed too, when she leaves, she does what he originally wanted to do at the beginning of the song. It really is a full-circle song.
I up and moved halfway across the country to SoCal when I was 19 & totally did not realize how hard it was on my aunt when I did that until my son moved out at 18. He literally moved 1/2 mile from our house and it was freaking HARD!! I told my aunt immediately that I was so sorry because I could NOT imagine him being halfway across the country. 😂 He's moving again next month to a city an hour and a half from here... I'm grateful he's taking "baby steps" with me.😊
Love Kenny Chesney!
I absolutely love this song. Raised 3 daughters and watched them grow and leave the home nest. This is another one of those songs that gets to me. It's touches my heart. It's a beautiful song.
Glad you are feeling better/ beautiful song
I love this song!!
Bro had to step off the treadmill at the end there. Love it lol song is incredible.
Thomas rhett-anges don't always have wings. Watch with your wife!!
Been waiting for this one! Allergies act up every time I hear it😂
I tear up everytime I hear this song. I had my son at 19. I love that little boy so much.
Very nice the way those words had better meaning.. 💕 love it.
I love Kenny Chesney! ❤
I love your reactions because you share your family with us and show us your heart. Thank you.
Great song. He and Ziggy Marley did a song called Love for Love city. Yep Ziggy sang with a country singer 😂 nother great song.
This is one of my favorite by Kenny. Reminds me of myself. Young mom, figuring things out, it's a great one ❤
You should check out Ode to Billy Joe by Bobbie Gentry. She wrote and sang this massive crossover hit song, it won Grammy’s and numerous other awards. There was even a movie made based on the story in the song.
I saw Kenny a few months before he released his first hit. Good show
I love hearing you talk about your girls. Every child born should be treated as a blessing from God. Your capacity for love just grows exponentially when you have a child. Give’s meaning to your life.
Yet another country song that could be the soundtrack to my life. 36yrs still married, 2 grown daughters and 2 grandkids later. Where do the years go?
Half of his fitness is from concerts. He runs around almost as much as Neil McCoy. Don’t ever miss a chance to see either of them in concert. They put on great shows.
Beautiful song 🥺❤️
A surprisingly tender song from Kenny Chesney. Pulling off the triple entendre is, you are so right, brilliant songwriting. He's recorded lots of fun stuff. I like him most for his duets of "Rocky Top" with Peyton Manning when he played for Tennesee.
I don't care how many times I hear this song. Tears everytime
I remember when this was released I cried because it hit so close to home.
Love your channel. God Bless!
This was a good song the first time I heard it. It became a great song to me when my little girl was born. Wow!
Don't Take The Girl by Tim McGraw, is another beautiful song!
Our baby and her hubby moved to remote Alaska. Nearly 8 years later, her dad and I can barely breathe with her so far from us.
And in the beginning if your a real study of this beautiful song he’s basically saying his dream is to escape the middle and find something new and the ending his his daughter moving, what’s he wanted, living his life, there in “there goes my life” as in his dream, she’s living it.😊
He wanted to go to the west coast when he was in high school. She did it.👍👍
Got another what I consider great writing in a Country tune song.
I think this young Lady has a chance and the talent to be the kind of artist that stays relevant for decades.
This song is titled “A Little Dive Bar In Dahlonega”
(From what I understand, Dahlonega is a southern town, I believe either in Georgia or Alabama)
The one liners (specially opening up the second verse) are just all phenomenal!
The Artist name is Ashley McBryde
I swear it’s great!
Ok bye
I got pregnant when I was 16, I am now 45 with 3 grown adult children and 9 gorgeous Grandbabies who I would give my life for. I thank the lord everyday for the life he blessed me with. I wouldn't change a thing and I am still young enough to do all the things I gave up doing to raise my children!!
Enjoy❤❤
Bru! I've watched this 10 or so times and i just noticed ..... "Turd Ferguson" !!!! that hoodie is great!
My daughter loved this song. Now that she passed , it takes on new meaning
I can SO relate to this song. I had my daughter when I was 17. She’s now 26 and she’s the absolute best thing that has ever happened to me. She has blessed my life for the last 26 years in ways that I could never have imagined. ❤
Beautiful song!
my son who at the time was in the Marines hadn't been home from Iraq 5 months told me his girlfriend was expecting due in July of 2004 my first thought was you're just turning 23 and your life is over you're never going to have your dreams come true he made me listen to this and when that baby girl Kendall was born she had him wrapped from the first breath she turns 19 this year and she still has him wrapped she lost her mom at 16 and helped raise her baby sister who is 12 now she grew up to fast but you couldn't find a better girl never given anyone a minute of trouble she is a huge part of his life she has 2 younger brothers and 2 younger sisters and I couldn't be more proud of her and to think when I heard those words my mind went to a different place than his and he was so right Kendall Turner there are only 2 people who loves you more than me your dad and your mom who was and still is so proud of you love you my oldest grandchild who showed me that there is another level of love I never knew!!
Kenny has another one you want to hear. It's called The good stuff. Here's some Daddy daughter songs. My little girl by Tim McGraw. To the men who date my Daughter's by Thomas Rhett
My wife and I are high school sweethearts we’ve been together 31 years now we’ve raised two beautiful kids and have three beautiful grandchildren.. I was only 17 years old where there is love nothing can stop you…great reaction..
One of the most beautifully written songs I've ever heard.
