@@roseannamanues2111 You are a lucky lady to have had someone to love you like you were his own. My stepdad asked my mom if he could adopt me and my brother. He said if anything happened to her, he didn't want us to have to go back to our father who did not want us.

@@bjspeck4337 I am very lucky that I had him and my first foster dad. My step dad got with my mom when I was 14 and still in foster care. He did everything that the DCS wanted him to. I was returned back two months from 18th birthday. The youngest of my siblings. Found out later that we shouldn't have been gone so long. So glad that you and your mom found a wonderful man who wanted you and your brother. It's cause of our step dad that my eldest brother is now being a dad to his son and the eldest brother. He doesn't treat him any different than he has ever treated my eldest daughter whose 17 now. My brother didn't want to ever have children cause of the abuse our father did. He was worried about being like him. Him and I talked about it when he found out that his girlfriend was pregnant. I asked him what would our step dad say to him. He responded that he has been there for my eldest. He listed more positive points. I said their you go. It's everything he would say and much more.

I had a little laugh when you stated "An Older Man" sings it. In 1989 when this is from Garth were 27 years old. Ronan Keating were 25 when he sang it in 2002.
By the way, Ronan Keating has made collabortion with the Bee Gees. He sang a song they wrote for him called "Lovers and Friends".
It was recorded in 1999 but first released on an album in 2005. It was on the Bee Gees 2005 album called "Love Songs" and only on the UK/Japan version.

I've been privilaged to see this man live 3 times in Ireland. He gets me everytime. The 1st was in 1994 in the then Point theatre. It was truly incredible. He is bigger in Ireland than the US. A few years ago he sold out Croke Park for 6 nights 90k per night. Ireland has a population of 5m. That is approx 10% of the population. It was controversially cancelled due to objections. But we still love him. I've actually recorded this myself. Of the over 50 concerts I've been to, Brooks, hands down, is the best performer and value for money you'll get. Many years ago I was diagnosed with breast cancer and I had to have surgery and undergo Chemotherapy and radiation therapy. Fortunately, all those treatments were successful and I have been cancer free for about nine years and as far as I know I am totally healthy now. I was talking to my brother who I don't see very often because he lives in another state and when we started to hang up he told me he loved me. I called my niece, his daughter, and asked her if her dad thought my cancer had come back and maybe I was dying. She said he did not think that as far as she knew and I told her the reason I asked was that he had told me he loved me, FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER!, and I thought maybe he thought I was dying. I should say that his actions have always said he loved me but he had never actually said the words. I had to laugh when I heard this song just now because it reminded me of when my brother made sure I knew he loved me. It was nice hearing the words but honestly it means more to me that his actions have always told me how he feels about me.

Sold out five shows in Dublin Ireland this year. He could have doubled that easily. We're huge Garth Brooks fans here. That's 400,000 tickets sold.

Garth Brooks was working as a singer on demos for record companies when a song called Shameless by Billy Joel came thru. Garth sang on the demo and the record company decided that instead of using his demo to convince other artists to record it, the record company released it as a single, as recorded by him, and it was a huge hit, and Billy Joel says Garth did it better than he did

I’m a huge Billy Joel fan and usually hate covers of his music, but I agreed on this one! Loved Garth’s version ❤

Sometimes songs are meant for that right person - Garth was that right person for Shameless. Fancy was more suited to Reba then Bobbie Gentry ( Original singer ) - Bobbies version sounds more like a "Blues" tune but the song just doesn't go well with Bobbies voice.

My husband had a liver transplant just this past August. I came sooooo in Rey lose to loosing him. When he woke fully up & was able to get his breathing tube taken out he grabbed his phone from me and asked me to climb up into the bed with him and lay there with him and he played this song and told me that no matter what time we have left, he will always make sure I know so if there does come a tomorrow he can’t tell me anymore, he did at least everyday he was given extra.

Get real… he is most definitely not the GOAT of country. He is the reason we have to listen to the crap we do today. There are way more country stars that are better! He was born with the gift of gab and a showman but his crap aint third rung material in my book. I wouldn’t walk across the street to see him. That’s just me, he has lots and lots of fans but he has lots and lots of folks like me that could care less about him. Saying he is better than George Jones, George Strait, Alan JacksonHank Williams, Hank Williams Jr., Willie, Merle Haggard, Dwight Yoakam and many many more is ridiculous 🤣🤣
Yeah he put Trisha Yearwood 1st above his daughters mom. He is a good man alright! 🙄🤣

He's saying it right there in the song. He lays there watching them in the dark, telling them tomorrow will never come. We can't ask the real question here thanks to, well you all know what I'm talking about. Please take care, everyone

I live in Louisiana..home of our flagship college Louisiana State University Fighting Tigers football team. The campus and stadium is in Baton Rouge Louisiana. It holds over 100,000 fans when sold out. Garth has a song called Callin Baton Rouge. If you ever heard 100,000 hyped up football fans singing callin Baton Rouge on a Saturday night at home you’d know just how big he really is!
