This song is so special to me. After 30 years of marriage my husband decided we were going to renew our vows, he decided he wanted to chose the song for our first dance, I had no idea what he was going to chose. When they announced our dance even my dad had tears in his eyes, when this song started playing, this summer we’ll celebrate 46 years together. I met him when we were 10 he proposed when we were 12 and we got married when we were 18. We’re going to be 65 this year.
My husband and I started dating at the height of Garth Brooks’ success. His whole catalog started our love story. To this day, 28 years later, my husband still dedicated this song to me. ❤️

There's a video of him in concert singing this about his daughter, the audience starts singing it back to him, and he breaks down in tears. Very moving.

I'm so happy to see a young man like you enjoying Garth. A lot of his music helped me through some really rough times in my late teens and early 20s. He really is a legend, and he's still sometime putting out some excellent music. You need to look at his wife Tricia Yearwood too, she's put some beautiful songs out over the years.
Garth helped me survive my teens - I am not exaggerating, I grew up in an angry, angry family. Garth’s music is timelessly beautiful. Now I’m teaching my 10 year-old child about Garth’s magic. 💙
I'm so glad someone actually reacted to this song. it does not get the recognition it deserves; and while you weren't eloquent about expressing it, you clearly feel the same about this song as I do
I've been a singer/ songwriter in bands in Canada for almost 30 years, and have played and heard a million country songs. This has always been my favourite song. So well written and passionately sung. One in a million! ❤
Between Garth and George Strait. I owe them everything. Nothing like parking your truck under the stars while laying in the back with your girl. With one of these people singing in the background. Great memories of my youth
You don’t even realize yet that Garth is one of the most prolific stage performers of all time! Seen him twice live, and the energy he brings is second to none! BTW there’s no way you can do a week of Garth without reacting to “The Dance”
I met Garth when he did his first world tour in Buffalo NY. He is the most genuine, kind hearted man. We spent half a hour with him. He knew my dad and where my dad worked. He had a beer with my dad, my mom a diabetic asked for a diet and he said "do you think with this fat ass I have diet" and laughed before sending someone to get her one. A fan in the stands gave us flowers to give him and he signed her a autograph. He is a true gentleman.
He was so amazing...it was a GREAT time to be a country fan dude... Alan Jackson, Mark Chestnut, Garth Brooks, Travis Tritt, Kentucky Headhunters, Brooks & Dunn, Joe Diffe, Sammy Kershaw, etc etc.... oh what a time that was...
@@eben4reel934 I was talking more along the lines of the early 90's. Alabama was amazing way before that and is in a category unto itself. They are, by the amount of #1 hits the best country band of ALL TIME hands down.
This is the first country love song released by Brooks. A man lies awake at night, thinking what would happen in his love's mind if he were to die the next day. The first line in the chorus reads: "If tomorrow never comes, will she know how much I love her?" He goes on to compare this situation with his own lost loved ones, and how he made a promise to say each day how much she means to him. The song begins with a soft guitar solo and gradually builds up to a more orchestrated accompaniment. Brooks has written many love songs since. This song is about the love of a father to his daughter, not to his lover. Garth said that on stage at Belmont University to Britt Todd and in his music video he has his daughter playing next to him while he sings.
Loved your reaction! I played this at my wedding 30 years ago. One of the most beautiful songs ever written. And Garth is the perfect singer to sing it. Me and Hubby still going strong after 30 years. This song? Maybe! My wish for you is a long and happy marriage, many many years of love! Stay safe and healthy and have a blessed day!
I've just watched through your Garth reactions and you have me laughing away to myself here, you are brilliant. And so right on ga rth... Yes just incredible isn't he. I was lucky my parents loved him when I was a kid so I grew up with him. He's doing a comeback your next gear and I have ticjets... And I genuinely can't wait. You should get tickets too! Garth! Outstanding Artist Icon, Legend! One most favorite songs! Tell that someone that you Love, just what you’re thinking of, in case tomorrow never comes! Best concert I ever attended!
As a person with an extremely eclectic taste in music I'm so glad I stumbled across this video. I really liked it because I listen to anything that sounds good to me. Genre doesn't matter. I absolutely love Garth Brooks. I've listened to many country greats like George Jones and Merle Haggard who, by the way you should also check out, but Garth is, I mean, he's unreal. My first love and favorite music is heavy metal but I listen to that, old country, new country, oldies, blues, rap, classical. I just don't care. If someone dares to jump into my car they never know what they are gonna be listening to. Musical taste should not be defined by race, color or creed. If you like it that's all that matters.
One of my favorite songs by any artist! I've been married for 48 years and my husband tells me every day he loves me, so this song really touches me. I am not a big country music fan, but I love Garth Brooks! Please react to "Unanswered Prayers" another of my favorites.
We can go on and on with Garth's music trying to pick favorites but at the end of the day, he produces amazing music that says the words you can't find and has a ball doing it, weather it's music he has a hand in writing or not, he makes you BELIEVE in what he is saying. This is why I fell in love with him
I make sure I tell my kids and husband every day I love them, cause things can happen so fast. I didn't get to tell my mom how much I loved her, and I didn't get to say goodbye to her before she passed away cause as she was dying I was in the hospital fighting for my life and I was put into a coma, but the fact is I should have made sure she knew before it was too late. And it tears me up every day. So please don't take life for granted and tell the people u love how u feel.
Bro, he was a legend back in the eighties and nineties. Country music was changing. There were two camps; the hard core old school country/western of past and the evolving bands. Garth has degrees in entertainment and marketing. He was the first country star to fly on a wire across the crowd. Things that rock bands did. He was also the first country star to sell out stadiums. Try "Shameless". It was written by Billy Joel. If you want a real smoker, "Mama's in the graveyard papa's in the pen." Thirty five year full time musician here. It's good to watch reactors who pick out the right elements to get excited about. You got my sub.
So glad to see you appreciate this song as much as I do. Garth has a lot of songs that are really good. If he hadn't stepped away from music long enough to raise his children, there is no telling what other good songs there would have been.
Bro you have no idea how much this man shattered country music. He changed it so fundamentally that they actually tried to kick him out because he was too much like rock. He said fine, kick me out, but I'm taking all your fans with me. Country music backed down and almost every country singer from that moment on owe this man just about everything. He literally is the grandfather of Country Rock. He came out of nowhere when country was still more western music than we know it as today.
i do not comment on UA-cam.. this is my first time.. but felt the need to do so here. Oct 22, 2015 my mother passed away, 5 yrs ago from the date of this video. She loved nothing more than to listen to me sing her this song. A little serendipitous that you did your reaction video and I just happened to come across it!! Garth is the GOAT!
Funny story for you... As I mentioned in a comment on one of the other Garth songs, I grew up in the same town he's from. But even before we moved there (when I was in 1st grade) my mom would get so embarrassed because at 4-5 years old I would be SCREAMING the lyrics to Shameless in the grocery store. Then when we moved to Yukon, Oklahoma and his name is everywhere... one of the main streets is named after him, his name's on the water tower, his picture was in the library of the high school. They built a new high school since I graduated so who knows if they kept that. LOL But Garth is the soundtrack to my youth! If you ever get a chance to see him life, do it! He's still amazing live, he never stops moving... running around the 360 stage!
The 80's and 90's were a golden era for country music. So many amazing artists and songs. Garth is legendary, but other all time greats from that era include: George Strait, Alan Jackson, Randy Travis, Travis Tritt, Shania Twain, Faith Hill, Martina McBride, Tim McGraw, Kenny Chesney and more. You have an incredible journey of life changing songs to discover. That's what's so intriguing about country music. There's a song for every occasion, every emotion, every body.
Lost the love of my life four years ago after 38 years together. This was his favorite Garth Brooks song. Wish I could tell him that the love he gave me was enough.
This is one of the first songs I ever listen from him, and instantly became one of my favorites. I fall in love with his live version of American Pie (I was looking for the original Don McLean's) and from there it was like the snowball effect with every single song and the whole country music gender. Garth is a beast. Glad your are reacting to him though I first got here for hip hop. You should do a Randy Travis and/or Brad Paisley week if you're ever in the country mood again
@@lisamarshall9902 A cover of a Bruce Springsteen song. But people getting "wrapped up in" Garth Brooks ought to react to the live 1992 version of that song in particular (live crowd singing & crowd surfing, FTW).
He is my all time favorite singer songwriter. When my husband was ill, I always told him no matter what, I love you. If tomorrow never comes. He passed away 11 years ago tomorrow. I miss him everyday.
My ex played this song to/for me in about 1990, and this song will always make me cry, I know he meant it and I know how much I loved him, have love still, but we had personnel issue's I was/am bi-polar and he was at the time abusive ( may still be) we meet in 1988 and divorced in 1995, we could not be together but i know there was love and this song will always be special to me
If tomorrow never comes, which is a great song, i have a feeling that you'll like unanswered prayers just as much. Personally, That Summer by Garth Brooks is my favorite but because that story hits very close to home for me.
a world of panties were flooded the day Garth started dropping heart felt music. his tone, his rhymes, his acustics...just made every woman's knees weak and made every man wanna sing like him (me included!)
If I remember right, this debut album of Garth Brooks in 1989 knocked Boston's first album off. Boston's debut album held the largest selling debut album from I think it was 1976 until 89. I believe that covered all genre's. Boston held that for a long time. Brooks really got the new country sound blasting off. Brooks bailed on the music industry for about 15 years, raised his 3 daughters after his Divorce. Crazy to walk away like that, but he felt it was more important to take care of his kids. These country artists in the early 90's were influenced by bands like Kiss, James Taylor etc. And you can hear those influences. Country exploded in the 90's and out sold other genre's. Clint Black, Alan Jackson, Tim McGraw, and of course, Heather Straight.
That Summer is a Garth Brooks song that I don’t have many talk about, but it’s so good!! It might be a harder one to find a live performance of, though.
Wait til you hear “The Dance” a song I will remember that song the rest of my life. You got to react. It’s a one of a kind. No pun intended but he’s also got a song called “Two of a kind, working on a full house” . For the humor side. “Unanswered prayers”, it’s all good.
I just absolutely love your reactions!! You’re an adorable young man!! You make me feel old 🤣😂!! My oldest son will be 34 in December. You’re precious 🤗❣️
My brother got tickets to Garth for my mom. He could only afford nose bleed seats. My mom is deathly afraid of heights. When they saw her trying to get to her seat and realized she was afraid they let her sit in the press seats. So sweet
Wanna hear a great song with a great message, do his song called Change. It's the only one of his songs that it doesnt have to be live for it to be him.it has a message that he wants people to hear so he let's it be played on UA-cam

You were so cool to watch. I remember when this song came out. We were all blown away,. Over an over again with each song he released.😊
AGREED! 80s and 90s country was awesome!!
❤️❤️ I’ve never been a country fan but Garth was popular when I was in middle school and you just can’t help but notice and appreciate the talent !
The Thunder Rolls with the extra verse is a Garth must.
I consider this a perfect song. I remember when it dropped.
love me some Garth!! - seen him in concert 2x - he is awesome!!! not sure what other songs you have planned- (the dance) is a good one also!!
10xs ... and holding tickets for when he get to go back.on the stadium tour!!
Holla, you should listen to "The River.
The River. Lol.
You will love The Dance by Garth Brooks.
a world of panties were flooded the day Garth started dropping heart felt music. his tone, his rhymes, his acustics...just made every woman's knees weak and made every man wanna sing like him (me included!)
You are absolutely one of my most favorite channels to watch man I will be there to the end with you you just keep on being you
If I remember right, this debut album of Garth Brooks in 1989 knocked Boston's first album off.
He is a legend, with true gems.
I get it,fella. I cry every time I listen to this song. So beautiful.
This mans music is more than country. It transcends the country music. Great reaction. 😃😔🇺🇸🥃
Alan Jackson ......the blues man and remember when ....two of my all time favorites
Blues Man cover is excellent! I requested that one too.
🔥 🔥 keep Garth rocking on here. I sit and wait for your Garth reaction all this week.
Great Great reaction brother!!!
Man, i remember when the video came out following the Oklahoma bombing... That was rough, and i was just a kid
@@TorchMeetsWorld same here man
@@TorchMeetsWorld I remember I was changing classes between woodworking going to geometry in high school when I heard the Oklahoma City bomb go off. The Change has ALWAYS hit me square in the heart!
