I drilled a screw through the middle of the air filter that’s hard to come out. Then pulled on it with a pliers
Just picked up a 2018 Duke 390 as my first bike, this video was very helpful, thanks. I grabbed the kit that has everything and also grabbed a K&N for the bigger filter. Using Motul 15W-50.
Congrats!
Literally same just got mine in may haha
Well said!
My 2017 duke Manual says 1.6L of oil!? What year is your's?
What exhaust is that?
You don’t need to remove all the bolts from the cover, just the 2 top ones, leave the metal bracket with the cover, and remove the 2 lower bolts.
How did you manage to get to the strainer bolt? I have the cover off, but with the black under piece it attaches too, there's practically no space to get a wrench or socket in there and if I did it doesn't appear that the strainer would have enough room to come out anyway. And oil would be on everything.
When r u going to do the top speed run on the GROM?
I hope in the next month. Lots of content coming
Do you think using the synthetic performance version instead of the semi synthetic would be okay?
I just put semi synthetic thats what the KTM of North Texas recomended to me
Synthetic will always be better just make sure it’s the same "w" rating
Can we buy 4 liter of pack and use half only and half afterwards
Sure
Does the kit work with a 2022 model?
Should be the same
I am poor boy
But i still dreming this bike 😢
Same here, been putting in the bank savings for this beautiful bike,I'm going for the new 2024 model
Can i use 10w50 or 20w50 ???
I think it depends on your climate.
I live in the tropics and I was advised 10w50 by KTM
Do you ever have any problems with this bike stalling while downshifting? Mine has done it a few times and when I UA-camd it there were videos everywhere with the same problem 😢
I have no issues
mine does it. it just dies out. something i believe with the clutch sensor. You ever hear anything about it? seems only the newer ones do this.
@@steezwhiteland7884I believe the same thing has happened to me twice. Once while I was sitting at a light, and it really boggled my mind that I just stalled out with the clutch still pulled in then as I was rolling forward again with the clutch pulled in. Does this sound similar? I’m kinda searching for an answer, I’ve found nothing on this so far
2017 duke w/ less than 4k does it sometimes. Not sure why very annoying
2018, Same thing once in a while
Got rid of my 2022 duke, after 3k miles it would burn a quart of oil... no smoke no leaks just gone.
