Very in depth guide. I'll be sure to keep these things in mind when I change the oil on the Duke 390. It will be quick and easy.
I'm glad I helped, Gleb. Hopefully it will be quick and easy.
Torque settings very important. Stops threads from being stressed and stripping out. 18mm head bolt 15nm the rest are 12nm
I agree - sometimes, you just kinda get the sense you can about feel it with your hands...
I rewatch this every year lol thank you
Haha, that's awesome! I'm glad you enjoy it.
It's only been out for a year ?😂😂😂
Thank you! Great video and good step by step
I'm glad you enjoyed it! Thank you for watching.
Great walk-through video. Much appreciated
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Good video as always. I just picked up a 2022 RC 390.
Thank you! That's awesome! How is it? I'd love to have an RC along with my Duke.
@@MotoRevs RC is good! Still new, just put the first 15 mines on it yesterday. Winter weather will keep me from riding it much over the next few months, but if I get a nice day, I want to put some miles on it to get past the break-in period.
Oh, I bet this'll feel like the longest winter ever. I'm glad you're enjoying it! Once you break it in, it really transforms into another bike. Hopefully you get a chance to rip it soon!
Can you do a spark plug replacement video for both KTM 390 series?
There is a window on the side of the motor to show the oil level. You should check that after the bike has run with the new oil for a bit, and top it up accordingly. If you only put 1.6 L in, you will likely not even see oil in the window after running it as the oil filter absorbs and other voids absorb much of the oil. Tilt the bike to the side to see what the oil looks like before adding more.
btw if you think you need more than 2L, you are probably doing something wrong
This could be why I didn't see it. Thanks for the info! I'll keep this in mind for my next oil change.
Liters and dl is the simplest fluid measuring thingi in the world. 1 liter is 10dl. Metric system is king👍🏻 My 2021 390 needs 1,7l btw. But there is a inspection window om the side if you want to check your oil lvl on it.
Good video. Best if you say the correct torque or Nm for the tightening of the bolts for the viewers that like to do it by the book.
Good point, I could've sworn I did. Thanks for the comment!
Hi where did you get the kit of filter and screws and how much that cost
I bought this kit on KTMTwins.com but unfortunately I do not remember how much it cost me. Hope you find it and good luck with it!
Why didn’t you show the oil glass to see how high or low it was otherwise brilliant ❤
Actually all the parts are made in India that's great now they are important to your country
Just wondering… do you need to replace the drain bolt every time?
Yes! It is highly recommended to do so. Same with cars, even. Most kits bring a new drain plug/bolt, anyway, so you should be fine!
@@MotoRevs I’ve never replaced any drain bolt in any car and have had no problems not saying it’s better but I’m trying to figure out if that’s just recommended because my bikes manual dosent mention replacing it just cleaning it
hi where i can by that belly pan is very good
Hey! You can buy this from any KTM microfiche - it's an RC390 belly pan, I'll most likely make a video on it in the future! You can simply search for an RC390 bellypan, and you should be able to find it.
thank you very mutch
@@MotoRevs
Absolutely! Thank you for watching!
Where did you get your pegs? Want those on my RC!
I got them on Amazon! I actually made a video about them on my channel, check it for more info!
@@MotoRevs thankyou! I'll check it! Your bike looks trick. I have a 2023 RC390 and plan to add the belly pan. My son has rhe Duke! It's oil change weekend!
Thank you! It's awesome that you and your son both share the same passion. I hope yall have fun!
@@MotoRevs thx for the video, got those pegs on Amazon you mentioned. 👍 ride safe!
@@MotoRevs I guess tieing him on behind me on Yoshimura GSX-R when he was 6yo might have affected him somewhat! 😔
what year model is this ktm?, in my manual for my 2018 duke 390 it shows 1,7 liters of oil, checked the oil level and its bearly at minimum if that. @motoRevs
My Duke 390 is a 2018 model year. I believe the oil capacity is the same across all model years, but I could be wrong.
You said 19mm at the beginning and ended up using 18mm. Make up your mind
I just serviced my bike and the original bolt I took off was 18 and then the new one I put on was 19
Yeah dude
