Thank you for sharing your inspiring story with me, thank you, I will continue to keep moving forward - I just want to do the best for myself you know?
Happy to see you are on the mend. Stress and anxiety is the major trigger that exasperates acid reflux, especially with GERD. Cutting down on acidity foods and high sugar contents also helps but nexium esomeprazole that cuts acid production in the stomach certainly helps with reducing symptoms, although under doctor's advice if you need to take it any longer than 14 days. The problem with GERD anticids and gaviscon isn't strong enough to reduce symptoms or remedy the disease. Managing stress and diet is the only cure along with blood tests to rule out diabetes, allergies and autoimmune disorders. I have suffered with chronic GERD, bloated stomach and peptic ulcers now for over six years, regularly dosing PPI, sometimes under doctor's prescription for higher dosage which helps heal the ulcers when they flare up. I always worry they could begin to bleed or become malignant, it can be very scary but these conditions do effect 40% of the population at some stage in their lifetime, especially with ageing. It really can be a life changing experience, watching what foods you eat and making sure you get plenty of rest to help deal with anxiety. If I have to say what the biggest trigger is I would say 70% of the time is lack of sleep and stress which I have had plenty of through working night shifts over the past 10 years. God bless you.
Stress and anxiety only makes stomach issues worse because of the mind and gut connection. I have ibs and I have to manage it as well. Just practice stress techniques and believe ur doctor when they say nothing serious going on. U will be surprised of the outcome when negative thoughts go away. Take care
Thank you so much for your comment. It is incredible how right you are about the mind and gut connection! I'm doing a lot better now because of this understanding :)
I had an endoscopy 3 days ago under sedation. Staff were lovely on admission. When I came to I was offered tea and toast. Couldn’t eat but drank the tea. Came home felt awful so I went to bed. A couple of hours later woke up in excruciating pain behind the breast bone. Called the ward spoke to the nurse ‘haven’t heard of that’ she said. Not helpful. Awful night. GP visit the following day. Sent straight to the hospital. Tests completed (all clear) after a general discussion with Medical Registrar turned out that I shouldn’t have had anything hot after the endoscopy as I had also had a biopsy. The ‘wound’ would have been too raw!! Mad frustrated and furious at the staff that they would offer refreshments which are unsuitable for post procedure. Ps. Nothing found at endoscopy now have to wait 3 weeks for results of biopsy. Not helpful like you Laura, as I can’t eat/swallow and expected to carry on until the results which knowing me will be inconclusive. I’ve already lost 8 pounds in just over a week! I do hope you’ve made a recovery Laura.
those are symptoms of gerd (gastro esophageal reflux disease ) diagnosed by an upper g/i . my gerd is controlled easily by taking raninitdine. i had upper endoscopy without sedation only numbing fluid. it went very well and easy . i had 2 colonoscopies without sedation no problem just a little unncomfortable . i had no conscious sedation because you need a resposible escort to take you home . in japan its common medical practice to do these kinds of exams without sedation. please dont let your anxiety fret you out , this is a extremely common medical issue. embrace your anxieties about it. there is a plethora of over the counter medicines that will relieve your symptoms. dont be afraid you have nothing to fear but fear itself. to all the other viewers and readers its not difficult dont let your imaginations run amok stare your fears right in the face. peace
@@andrewsmith3257 my discomfort level was around 1.5 ,sometimes you just have to buck up like you were having surgery on the battlefield by a medic . the discomfort level was around 1.5 for colonoscopy probably because i had previous ones and new what to expect . i think my endoscopy went well because other specialists scoped me far and high with a nasal scope . also this is an update ranitidine been taken off the market because of carcinogenis reasons , i now take famotidine . life is a imperfect world sometimes , and you have to take a hit now and then.
@@ratroddiesels1981 For endoscopy without sedation, how bad was the nausea and gagging? How fast was the procedure and what did they find out? I have been on the PPI Omeprazole for 2 years have also taken famotodine as well, id like to find out my issue and get off the heartburn meds one day, thanks
@@andrewsmith3257 mr.smith i had no nausea , but i did have gagging when the endoscope first went down , i needed to have the procedure with out sedation because my closest relative are a 7 hr plane ride . you can have what is called conscious sedation but for legal reasons they require an escort . when i consumed spicy things it would come back up while slleeping . this prompted a further look .first they did an upper barium test where you sip lemon/lime drink and are x-rayed .then an endoscopy was ordered, i know many people who have had endoscopy but were lightly sedated .right now i only take famotidine when ive eaten spicy foods. but gerd [for me ] wont go away. i would choose sedation because its not everyday you have an endoscopy . in the end the specialists agreed i had gerd to me its not a problem . my friend has to have a colonoscopy every 5 months the prep for that is worse than the actual exam [you have to drink a gallon of go lightly the nite before and be near a bathroom all day. thank you for your reply . peace unto you.
Dear Laura, first of all, thank you so so much for your video...through your video...I finally knew that i'm not the only one who going through the EXACT same problem as you did. I'm totally understand how you felt, how devastating and frustrating it is as we suffer a lot during our student life but in the end the doc came and told you it was NOTHING, it was FINE, Nothing serious...but deep down we knew there was something really really wrong. It's not like we want "something" to happen but those pain, those struggles that we going through are like HELL that no one would ever understand. My stomach pain and other symptoms has tortured me for almost 3 years...but still...doc can't find the cause and the worse is...there's no medicine that can give me a comfort. Not one...as time goes my symptoms are getting worse...at the point I felt like I wanted to die. But they just can't figure it out what's the prob. Laura, I hope you'll stay strong and be brave...there's times we felt like we want to gave up...but knowing that you're here, that makes me stronger. I hope you did too. May God bless you. And lets fight together.
Hi lovely, apologies for such a late reply, but thank you so much for your message. I really appreciate your kind words and knowing I'm not alone in this. I hope you have found an answer and have been able to manage your symptoms
Hi Laura: T Thanks for your video. It enabled me to know what to expect when not having sedation. I had my endoscopy today without sedation and without any discomfort, thanks to you.
@@andrewsmith3257 mine was went from a 7 when it went in to around a 3/4 when it was in. I just went to another place in my head! Was breathing and before i knew it, it was over. Wasn't the worst thing ive ever had by far.
I have the same problem as you. I don't remember what it feels like to be normal anymore. It's so hard to feel sick everyday.. feeling like you're going to throw up everyday. Have you tried ondanestron (zofran) it helps a lot with the nausea.
I'm so sorry to hear you're going through the same thing as I am :( It is a very big struggle, and one which is made worse by the fact that the people around you can't even begin to comprehend how feeling persistently sick would wear you down the way it does. I have a gastroenterologist appointment on this Monday coming so hopefully I will find an answer there, but after 6 months of this persistently it is really getting to me. It's hard to stay positive, it's just a performance to quite an extent at the moment :/ I've never heard of Zofran before, currently I am taking Copermin IBS relief tablets as they seem to help with the stomach cramping and bloating I also experience. Is Zofran something that has to be prescribed by your gp?
Laura Masters I totally understand how you feel. It has affected my life.. I've missed so much work due to being sick everyday and it sucks. I have bills to pay but it's so hard to go to work feeling terrible. I just had a upper endoscopy this morning, this is my second time and again.. they say they saw gastritis with esophagitis but that's what they told me before and it's never been this bad. It got worse in April and ever since then it's been rough. I just want to figure out what it is. He told me today that if it worsens or doesn't get better, I need to do a gastric emptying study for gastroparesis. If you don't know what that is there are so many amazing videos on UA-cam about it. You may have that. And yes the zofran was prescribed by my GI doctor. It works for the nausea. For bloating and cramping I have hyosycomine.
I have read up on gastropareisis and I have considered this is what I might have as well, for me it's between that and IBS at the moment anyway :/ I'll have to see what the specialist says Monday, but I wonder if that'll tie in at all. What I hate is the idea that it is chronic, but if I have it what can I do? :( I will look into these medicines further if my appointment Monday does not provide me with a plan moving forward - thank you so much for sharing your story and suggesting advice, I really appreciate this
Laura Masters I pray that everything will go well on Monday! I'm happy I saw your video, because you're the only one who is actually going through what I'm going through, so I know you understand. When I get the gastric emptying study I'll let you know how that goes!
Had mine yesterday. It really is what you make if it. I opted for no sedation because i need to drive. The theoat spray did what it says on the tin. Relax and breathe and its no trouble at all. Worse part was trying to swallow with the mouth guard in. For anyone nervous about this procedure, dont be, close your eyes and breathe and you will be fine.
I dropped out of college from stomach problems ! They said the exact same to me after my endoscopy and I was shocked when they sent me home feeling clueless ! Apparently if u take PPIs before a h pylori test you can have a false negative so get off Ur acid blockers and get a stool test . Goodluck, I feel Ur pain ! Some people will never understand it effects Ur life it's horrific
Had the endoscopy done to today without sedation and to be honest it was not a good experience but was tolerable. Been having acid reflux and pain in my stomach for the last 3-months and the result from endoscopy was similar to yours which is a mild gastritis. I’m glad it is nothing more serious and there are a lot of info on you tube about things we can do to help our stomachs. Don’t loose your spirits and aim to beat the cause of the problems. I’ve stopped drinking coffee and avoids anything acidic, I started eating vegetables and I’ve noticed it is making a steady progress and I can see it slowly making a difference. All the best.
@@andrewsmith3257 I am a bit sensitive and struggles with anything place inside my mouth, even hates dentist so with the endoscope inside my throat or via nose through the throat I felt like vomiting but the procedure was not long, think maybe Max 15-20 mins... once they have taken photos of my stomach lining and saw my hiatus hernia it was then time to remove the endoscopy.
@@CODIEWRYDROP72 Yeah. I think i have a hiatal hernia as well as esophagitis. Been putting off for years, im not as sensitive to gagging as most. I have been seeing alot of people say its only 5 minutes and some people saying it could 20 minutes long. I think 5 minutes i can endure but 20 would really SUCK. On a final note, did u have to get surgery for your hernia?
I had one last month without sedation but two times the throat spray. I was really nervous and kinda panicked the first time they put the spray in the back of my throat but the second time I barely felt it because my throat was already kinda numb. When the tube went in I didn't gag at all. It felt uncomfortable for sure and when it was almost in my stomach I felt it moving and especially when they pulled it back out I felt it. If you don't have a gag easily (like not at the dentist or something) and you have the throat spray the full dose they recommend then I guess you're fine. But it is really mental I think, because when I noticed I didn't gag I was way more relaxed and could focus on my breathing
Hi Laura, I had an endoscopy last thrusday. They stuck me 15 times before they got my IV into a proper vein. I asked about doing it without sedation and they said I would not like doing the procedure while awake so they kept on poking me. Regarding your results I will suggest you get copies of the drs. report and all photos they have taken inside you and seek out the opinions of other doctors outside the UK. Look up American specialists or other specialists in countries outside where you are living and get their viewpoints on what else your drs. could investigate. Telling you to just live with this health problem is not acceptable. There is something wrong someplace to cause these health problems for you and it is their job to find the cause. Please keep on searching for a proper answer. I wish you the best of luck. Hugs!
So sorry to hear of all the horrible experiences my partner has had the same problem with food sensitivity Many fruits because of their acidic contents and processed foods including dairy and spices has to be removed from his diet. To everyone with acid reflux etc. I recommend you all get a good water distiller this help my partner get rid of UTI symptoms in 12hrs , in 24 hrs he was completly pain and all his discomfort disappeared. He had endoscopy, hospital visits , dr visits and all was done was recommendations to have gaviscon and omeprazole none of them worked. Also he was placed on antibiotics which was not needed as he had no infection. Please note only home made distilled water is recommended as its the purest water and drink at least 2.5 litres a day with less acidic diet so less sugar, dairy, spices, white bread ,chilli, curry, fresh and cooked tomatoes etc. I hope this info helps.
Thank you for sharing this. Your experience with the endoscope fits mine to a T. I had it done today, and I have broken blood vessels around my eyes from dry heaving so much. 😩 So sorry you didn’t get more helpful results. I hope maybe you’re doing better now!
I am having an endoscopy on Friday with no anesthesia and I was very touched by your video and was wondering if you ever found any relief for your symptoms.
Hi Laura, I pray to God you are better now. Are you cured from this? Or did you just find a way to manage it? Been suffering this for a year as well, on and off some days are pretttly bad, others are bit better.
Hi Guru, I apologize for the late response. I am doing much better now and I really hope you are doing better as well. It turned out this was IBS and the stress of the situation was making it so much worse. Reducing stress and noticing food sensitivities has been key for me :)
Hey Laura, Im getting exactly these symptoms with the acid reflux and burning throat. Did they come to any conclusion when you went back to the doctors and what treatment did you receive? This would be so helpful for me. thank you x
Hey Hannah, thanks for your comment :) Each situation is different, but for me this turned out to be IBS, which was worsened by anxiety at that time. Nowadays I am able to manage this by reducing my trigger foods, using antacids where necessary and sleeping on a wedge pillow if needed. I hope that helps! x
You're breaking my heart 😢 definitely persist with the GP as there are surgeries that can help reflux if necessary. Slippery elm is AMAZING, i massively improved on it so it's recommended. There are a lot of good reviews for it online too. I had a sober endoscopy today too, horrible feeling, I hope never to have one again ever. Good luck, you can get better, I've been there.
Thank you so much for your comment. It was definitely difficult at the time, however I have learned what my body reacts to and how to manage this over time. I'm definitely experiencing less symptoms than before which I couldn't sustain, and I am very thankful for this. I hope your journey is going well and you're on the road to recovery
I have a endo on Monday, and I am so scared. I have a fear of sedation, but now I am afraid of doing it unsedated. I have been dealing with stomach issues for a year now. I understand your pain. I have found that not eatting out at all, no wheat, oats...carbs in general, no sugar, no chocolate, and no dairy has helped. You might try Mastic Gum. You can order on amazon. Healed my husband's reflux and ulcer. I have issues with medications so it is hard to use them.
Thank you for this suggestion sweet, I wish you luck with your endoscopy. Each experience differs and this was just mine - personally I would now go for the sedation, however without sedation is something that is definitely tolerable, just not pleasant. Let me know how it goes ok? The nurses will go with you and reassure you throughout the whole thing, you aren't alone in this.
The nurse told me has done it both ways. Most people opt for the sedation. She said he did one on his own wife though without it and it went fine. Here is to hoping. I go back and forth between thinking this is an ulcer or h pylori flair up to thinking I have cancer. You really should consider the Mastic gum by jarrow. Google it. It has helped a ton of people with your symptoms. It helped me in the past. I just have multiple chemical sensitivity now.
I'm sure you don't have cancer sweet, just deep breaths and focus on relaxing. Our brain likes to make us worry we're really ill but I'm sure it's nothing as bad as cancer, good luck for it x
I am the same stacie. I am terrified of having sedation and scared to have it without. I never used to be scared to have sedation but I have developed this irrational fear that I will die under sedation, well it isnt totally irrational as people do die. But my fear is out of this world. Now I am scared to have it without. I think I might cancel the procedure and hope for the best, I think the dr suspects something like cancer as he is worried about such rapid weight loss. Damned if I do damned if I dont.
Hey Fran, from reading your message I 100% think it's worth getting the endoscopy done. I completely understand your fears, but the amount of people that die under sedation is miniscule, and typically they already have a health problem or are elderly which contributed to this fact. If you are scared, I really do suggest sedation as without sedation is a process which is more uncomfortable and you know more about what is happening around you, so if it scares you I would not suggest this option. The nurses around you are there to help you and will support you the whole way through, and if your doctor fears a problem, a 5 minute test and a tough day is worth it over the regret of not catching it earlier, right? All the best xx
Had my done today without sedation ,frankly speaking the first 1 minute is like hell but after that you will get the hang of it and it will be all over before you know it.Thanks for your review though !!
@@Goku-ih6gl The tube is like the size of your laptop power adapter cable, and at first you may puke and feel uncomfortable but it is just for a few moments, approximately 4 to 6 minutes. You can do it , it's not painful but uncomfortable though.Hope that helps.
I have been having similar symptoms for 18 months and was scheduled for gastroscopy for the second time today but cancelled my appointment last minute cause I really dont want to go through having a garden hose showed down my throat. Tried Gaviscon but didnt feel that much difference. They scheduled a new appointment in a months time from now and I might have to go through it. Feels like I have a burn in my throat and upper chest and its causing me difficulties eating non liquid food. It takes at least one hour to eat a hambuger for me. Used to take 5 minutes..... :/
Hey, I also have an endoscopy on 27th this month.. it is really a very bad combination to be a med student have had clinical depression a year back, both of these suggest I have been overthinking and everything boils down everytime, even if I have a ruptured appendix to stress and anxiety. I hate it, being underdiagnosed and being told I have nothing when I've suffered so much because of so many things. Lost count of hospital admissions I've had in 2 years. Also mine will be without sedation like you. I hate sedation and general anesthesia because they always trigger depressive episodes and sometimes even suicid@l ones Edit : It's done. It was uncomfortable because of the throat pain and constricting feeling I had from the very beginning but not too bad. It only took like 3 mins maximum. They found out a lax LES and lots of pharyngitis because of the acid tricking back up in the throat. Not much of a gastric issue I guess. I hope I do not vomit too much today because I do feel strange
Hey! I have the exact same symptoms and have an edoscopy in two days! Im sorry you didn’t get the results you longed for!! I am hoping you are ok now? Have your symptoms improved
Laura ,you are brave for sure.Im a very hard one to get a iv in also but I no way can do it with out sedation.Im waiting on the apt as we speak.i live in LAS VEGAS NV. .Good luck with the results. G D bless.IM a huge, AMY WINEHOUSE FAN ,AS WELL AS THE LIBERTINES.ID LOVE TO VISIT UK SOON.LOVE FROM VEGAS LESLIE.
Had the camera done today, I was nervous after watching UA-cam vids like yours but thought the procedure was very easy, slight uncomfortable but a lot less than I was expecting
Sounds like a hiatal hernia causing gerd. Good luck. I have a hernia but my acid reflux symptoms are thankfully mild. Instead my stomach feels like it is pushing pressure on my diaphragm making it a struggle to breath. It sucks big time... 7 months so far.
Thank you for your comment, I'm sorry to hear of that - I hope you're doing a bit better. I found out mine was due to IBS and I still get acid reflux from time to time, but it's not as bad as this nowadays x
I know it's a long time but how are you feeling now because I have to do this Wednesday and I have some of the same symptoms I just want to know how you're doing now and how did you manage it
Marijuana completely fixed my gastric pain / nausea. Now it's just a matter of getting the dose right so it doesn't affect my mind too much you need to have the THC and the CBD. Good luck my friend. I do CAT scans I know PPL want a result so they have something concrete to work with but more often than not we don't find anything.
I am sad and hope you have found an answer I feel your distress .....I pray they have found an answer bless you .....I am feeling as you do I am supposed to have it done next week ...but dought I will go through with it and I will manage the situation I am in ...which has been very very painful ..but now settled the last 24hrs ..but may reoccur
Sounds to me like Barrett's oesophagus the reason I say this is that I had the same symptoms for over a year I was given omeprazole which stopped the pain in my stomach but not the acid in my throat so I was then given Lansaprozole which stop the acid in throat but didnt help the stomach .after being diagnosed with Barrett's oesophagus and a brief stint in hospital I am now on Ranitidine and Lansaprozole , fingers crossed so far so good I know how frustrating and upsetting it can be and hope you find the answer soon , really I do ..take care
I am just came across your channel I’m assuming you’re in London how long did it take between the time that your doctor said you needed one . to the time that you Went for the procedure . I was really shocked because my doctor told me to get it and I literally could have it done within 3 I ended up asking for an appointment at the end of the month but then change my mind and I’m going this Tuesday it is Saturday now so you know I moved the appointment I still couldn’t get it within a week. I have to have larger amounts of sedation so that means I have to go to the hospital and not the clinic that they do the men here which is a bit annoying I thought about having a dirt awake but I was told it wasn’t a good idea it was nice to hear your video though
I truly feel your pain!! Ive been going through the same thing for a long time! You need to cut out all irritating foods and just eat a bland diet for a week. Heres the big thing.. you need to start juicing celery every morning for two weeks! Stop spending your money on gastro meds and invest in a juicer!! Those meds will make you worse in the long run honey!! Get on a good probiotic and take that daily. After eating a bland diet for a week slowly incorporate other foods back into your diet. So bland diet, celery juice every morning on an empty stomach and a good probiotic daily! See how you feel in a month. I think you will feel better. You also have to be sure you are managing stress. Dont give up😊
Thank you so much for your comment. I definitely think my anxiety affected my symptoms a lot, and now I have found a way to manage them, so I am no longer taking medication daily for them.
Hi Laura. Have you had manometry done through your nose to measure Ph levels? Worth asking about if this might help find the issue. Straight forward acid reflux though is not really treatable AFAIK except through a change of diet perhaps. It simply has to be managed. Ive had endo with and without sedation and in all honesty without sedation was fine for me.....the team are 100% correct about focussing purely on breathing while they look around inside.....focus focus focus think of anything else other than an endoscope in your throat.....for next time try it and remember everyone there is there to help you. The mind plays tricks and its easy to get scared. Ive had a swallowing problem for 40 years and had every instrument known to man put down my throat and still they couldnt find the cause of my problems so theres no guarantees of finding a cause. You have to carry on though and rule out as much as possible. Good luck.
Thank you for this video. So sorry you are going through this. I am 30 years old and I have difficulty swallowing. I think I might have GERD. I am having an Endoscopy procedure Monday and I am completely terrified. I think you have Acid Reflux too. I really wish they would find a cure for this because this is so debilitating. I hardly eat and drink because of my difficulty swallowing. I have lost lots of weight. I just want this pain to be over. It is really hard when your family don't understand and think that this is all in your head and they don't understand how serious Acid Reflux can get. Stay strong.
You welcome! Just want you to know I understand your pain even if others don't. I will try to be strong too. If it helps I changed my diet a little to try to reverse this. I am a vegan now. I don't eat dairy or drink milk from a cow. I drink soy milk but the unsweetened kind. I have no sugar at all. I am on a plant based diet for 70 days before my full submission to being a vegan. Maybe you can try this. I have had a few better results from this. :)
please tell me you doing better now and how you done because i literally did the same thing today and they basically told me im fine and im clueless i was expecting surgery referral because i been suffering
I’m doing this tomorrow.. I’m worried about it but I’m pretty sure I’ll be able to do it... I don’t like needles or memory loss so I have 0 interest in sedation.. in regards to your GERD... even though I’ve read up most places that esomeprazole is not really good for you in the long term, I’ve been taken it fairly consistently for about a year and the difference in my GERD is night and day.. might want to ask your GP about PPIs such as esomeprazole... I too have debilitating heart burn and acidic burps that have kept me up many nights and leave me wrenching in pain when I’m not using the medication properly.
Ive had reflux since i was 7. I remember the first time it happened, it scared me to death. Im now almost 32 and it has become normal to me. I can be stood up straight, and i will still have my stomach contents coming up into my throat. Im so used to it now that its just mild a inconvenience. Eating too much triggers it, and also eating too little triggers it. You literally cant win with it. I eat all the foods i shouldnt but lifes too short to live on lettuce and ice cubes which lets be honest, is pretty much the only thing that wont make it worse. Its a horrible condition. Im suprised I've never been sent for an endoscopy, but i think its going to happen in the near future. Im also petrified of gagging and vomiting too. My husband had his without sedation and he said it wasnt even that bad 😳 Im being sedated if i ever have to have one 😭 I take Lansoprazole for my reflux and when taken regularly, it works. Have you ever been prescribed anything like this? You shouldn't have to be buying Gaviscon and other Indigestion remedies like that, they're so bloody expensive and the OTC ones are never strong enough. Definitely mention Lansoprazole if you havent tried it already, its a game changer. Hugs to you ❤
I’m so sorry you are going through this. It sounds very overwhelming for a young woman like yourself. Is there a chance you could meet with a counselor or therapist? They may be able to help you find ways to deal with the emotional aspects of being ill but not yet having a treatment plan. Maybe they could help you with the stress. I hope the doctors are able to find what is causing your symptoms and you can begin to recover your health.
Apologies for the late reply, thank you for your comment. I am currently practicing mindfulness and I have been seen by a therapist since making this video, which has really helped me manage my symptoms, alongside tracking my food intake :)
First of all, I am so sorry to hear how much this is interfering with your life. I really feel for you. It is extremely distressing not getting an actionable diagnosis. I just learned of another type of endoscopy called trans nasal esophagoscopy (TNE) which goes through the nose and doesn't require sedation. Maybe that is offered in the UK and would be better for you for subsequent monitoring. It's significantly less costly in the US--hundreds of dollars vs. thousands. Also, I'm curious to know if diet changes have helped you at all. It sounded like you've tried lots of over-the-counter medications and prescriptions, but I couldn't tell if you had also tried to restrict trigger foods. If you haven't been able to be very strict up to now, I'd do an experiment and go very strict for a month and see where that gets you. I was also wondering if you have had a helicobacter pylori test. I recently learned about Dr. Jonathan Aviv who uses TNE and also has an acid-lowering diet. I just ordered his latest book "The Acid Watcher Diet". I watched all the videos I could find of him on UA-cam and learned a lot and found potential answers for several of my family members whose symptoms range from chronic cough to regurgitation and basic heartburn. Their doctors have no answers. I'm looking forward to trying a change in food to see what that brings. I would definitely get a second opinion and look for a doctor who does TNE. Hang in there and go with your gut feeling (no pun intended) to guide you in your search for answers.
Thank you for your comment. I have tried restricting foods from assuming I had lactose intolerance to celiac disease, however blood tests have shown these have both come up negative so I am currently having to just try and avoid whichever foods I learn set me off the worst, however I have found there is no clear pattern to these foods at all. I have had a H.pylori test done back before I was referred for my endoscopy which came up negative, and currently I am waiting 2 months to be seen my a gastroenterologist. It's really hard to try and figure out what I think I have, but at the moment it seems to be similar to symptoms of gastropareisis which I think is something I will mention when I see this doctor. I will definitely look into that one, again thank you x
My heart goes out to you honey. I was your age when I had one done. Did not put you under anything. I remember the same feeling. Now I go under. I now have a issue with saliva in my throat. Acid reflux runs in my family. Ugh Please tell me how you are now. Because I care. Lisa
Thank you so much Lisa, I'm feeling a bit better than I was when I made this but I'm still not what I used to be. Sadly I feel like I won't ever be though. I have another appointment soon so hopefully I can move forward further after that x
Thank you for your video, I didn't want to look into it much before the procedure as I was scared prior and didn't want to worry myself too much but after today I found out that it's a horrible experience! I only used the numbing spray like you also but I think if I was to have to have it done again I would go for sedation too as it was so hard for my body just to allow the tube to be put down my throat! It's not natural, soon as that tube was taken out I just sobbed becausw I was in shock and it was embarrassing due to all the burping and gagging!
Man I've basically been confined to the house for 2+ years now and I've put off the scope for ages because of fear of sedation and I couldn't find a doctor to do it unsedated here in America. I finally found a doctor who will do it awake and now I'm nervous as hell but more so for the results. So scared it's gonna be something that'll kill me and just scared of getting answers for better or for worse because it's such a huge change. Also scared I won't be able to complete it awake. I hope your situation gets better though. Not knowing what's wrong really sucks.
I'm sorry you're scared, it can be a scary thing but try to think of the results helping you move forward - as I've said in the video, it only does last a few minutes so although unpleasant it is tolerable and manageable - the nurses should also help re-assure you about the situation :) I commend your bravery to finally face your fears and get the procedure done - I'm sure the results won't be as bad as your brain is making you feel, but whatever happens at least you can have solace in knowing what the issue is instead of your brain being able to overthink all the 'what if's' you could have. Thank you for your support, it does really suck but hopefully the gastroenterologist will be able to figure it out a bit more in a month's time. I wish you all the best with your situation too, good luck and let me know how it goes :)
Ok so I just got home a little while ago and wanted to let anyone reading this know how it went. I'm starving because I had the colonoscopy prep as well and that meant fasting all day yesterday and drinking the nasty bowel prep and spending ages on the toilet. Anyway, I slept about an hour and a half and got to the hospital at about 7 AM. I went and dry heaved from nerves in the bathroom for a good 5 minutes and then went back and the nurses put an IV in and got all my information etc. 3 different nurses asked about anesthesia and they were shocked and trying to tell me I was confused when I told them I was having none (apparently less than one percent of these are done un-sedated in America). Anyway, they wheeled me back to the room and sprayed my throat and put this ball gag looking thing in with a hole in it and that made me gag and I thought I'd never get through it. He then inserted the scope and it was really hard to swallow and felt kind like when you swallow a piece of food that's too big and it burns a little. But it is quick and it is manageable and you can breathe just fine. I won't say too much about the one on the other end other than it's really crampy and he could only get about halfway done before the pain was too much. BUT everything came back normal so I'm just as confused as when I started lol.
See, I knew you'd be ok doing it, it's just nerves going into it which I think makes it worse. It sucks in one way it came back normal, but on the other hand it's re-assuring it's nothing massively serious. (Please don't take that as a negative thing, I know I did at one point anyway.) My best advice for you is to do what I did and go back to your doctors, stressing how much your symptoms are upsetting you and see what can be done from there. All the best x
hi just saw ur video as i was looking for some information about endoscopy.I am having same problem like u since 3 4 months .i am having endoscopy next week,my feeling about the procedure are same as you, scared worried but hope i will be fine.i will pray for you that you get well soon.and dnt worry .
You will be fine, don't worry, it is a little scary but it is a very short procedure. I wish you luck with it, and I hope they find the answer to your health issues soon xx
If you are getting sedated than you'll not even notice It. I totally went in today so freaked out and worried. Everyone is super nice and literally when they start they tell you to take a couple of deep breaths and your literally sleeping by the 4th breath and wake up and its done before you even know it. Just relax dont get scared it'll be fine.
.I had the appointment today but it was cancelled due to unexplained reason. No 1 knew who canceled the appointment and why it was cancelled I had 2 tke dayoff from work.but anyway now I have to see a specialist in couple of weeks time and I dnt know whts gna happend.hope u r feeling well.thannks
Im scared of sedation. I think i will go without. I have arthritis and im used to lots of pain and discomfort. Maybe my bad experience will help me go through this easier. Thanks for your opinion!
Have you tried changing your diet rather than taking gaviscone. Look up alkaline diet if you haven't already and keep to it strictly. Wishing you well.
Laura Masters Okay, I asked that before I got to the end of the video. I'm sorry. Prevacid is Lansoprazole. I'm sorry the PPIs aren't helping you. Prevacid is barely helping me- I have a lot of the same symptoms as you :(
I'm sorry to hear you're going through this as well :( I've been referred to a gastroenterologist and in the meantime I've been tested negative for celiac and I'm trying a lacto-free diet to see if that helps at all. I wish you all the best with your case, and I'd suggest just to monitor what upsets your stomach the most and avoid it xx
Apologies for the late reply, I have gotten much better since posting this video. I will be posting an update video shortly if you are still interested in my journey :)
Omg I totally understand you!! You don’t understand how alone I felt. Today I had my endoscopy literally a few hours ago. I’ve been having the exact same problems as you, reflux, acid, migraines, i’ve spent at least 2-3 days off school every week. After I had finished the endoscopy and woke up from the anaesthetic, they said everything looks fine, we just need to wait for the biopsy results. Like are you serious? I’ve been waiting for this endoscopy to move forward but nothing’s happened. You’re so brave!! Everything will be alright 💓💓
Laura you are entitled to a stomach tablet which you take first thing in a morning before you eat. It's on NHS. Hope you have been back to you gp and sorted it out.
I'm sorry for scaring you, however I wanted to give an honest opinion on how the procedure was without sedation. I hope your procedure went ok in the end x
Awe bless you im dreading the test i have it on the 17 th of May ,i hope u hsve found out whsts wring and can get trestment and get better ,i dint eant put to sleep ,i will be scared to 😰💖🙏🇬🇧
have you tried ginger juice? on an empty stomach. No water 20 min before or after. 1 teaspoon ginger. It should be potent. Like take your breath away. It is worth it. ALthough it does not work for my ulcer anymore- it did 10 yr's ago. I pressed the ginger through a garlic press. Don't eat the fibrous part. You want ONLY the juice from the fresh ginger root. Down it all at once. i have an endo scheduled in 2 weeks. Just learning that it is possible without sedation? Dr never mentioned that to me.....i will call the office.....I bet it is cheaper without propofol. It's got to be cheaper.
How you feeling so far? Monday I had endoscopy exam getting my results next week, so far I been tested positive for H-pylori I was need to drink antibiotics for 4 weeks. I just hope you doing okay
Oh my goodness I am going through this now I have cutting off almost everything from my diet it have taken over my life I am having my endoscopy I a few weeks and I am hoping for I diagnose so I can feel better... I don't want to hear them say that I don't have anything because I don't know how to deal with it ... Hope you are doing better now..
I'm getting an endoscopy on the 20th. I'm having similar symptoms, and im worried its the worst case scenario. They are also taking biopsies and im totally freaking out, i hope it's not stomach cancer. :( I got an upper gi series a couple months ago and it said it suggest gastritis so im not sure, and my symptoms happened out of nowhere so i understand your pain and worries. Thank you for sharing with us and i hope things get better for you.
@@osawaruenorense1596 Well, my most recent endoscopy(last year in March) showed no signs of Barrett's esophagus. Idk what's with that but apparently I don't have it anymore...
Thank you for asking, I've improved more since filming this video - I'm not 100% still, but I'm a lot better now. It seems to be bloating now and a little bit of nausea from time to time now, and a lot of it I feel seems to be linked to my stress and worries. When I was worrying and panicking I had a really serious problem my health seemed much worse, but now I'm not trying to focus on it my stomach feels a lot more settled. I think I might have something like IBS considering when this started, my symptoms and how all of my health tests have come back clear but I'm still not sure. I have a follow up appointment with a stomach specialist in December so we'll see what happens then but yeah.
Oh, you poor girl I know what it’s like to have something done and almost feel excited after the procedure because in your mind you believe thank God they’re gonna be able to diagnose me know what’s happening. I can treat this and I can get back to normal and then to find out, they believe nothing is wrong when you know your body and you know it’s a terrible terrible feeling.
Hey dear! Abit late but so glad your symptoms improved! Im kind of going through the same thing as you but less severe i guess. Took too much antibiotics i think which ruined my gut and caused things like heartburn and acid reflux. Really hope it recovers soon else i wld need to go for an endoscope which i am really dreading:(
Thank you so much for your comment - I'm sorry you are going through a similar situation. I can't say what worked for me will work for you, but ranitidine is a medication that is really helping my acid reflux at the moment. I hope you feel better soon
I have all of this. I even paid for a private doctor. He gave me antidepressants and told me there’s no point in testing me. I have seen the doctor 8 times. I can’t concentrate at college where my throat is swelling and burning. I have lost over 2 stone in weight. I have been to a nutritionist, a herbalist, I have taken ACV, PPIs, slippery elm, honey, I’ve modified my diet until I am literally eating vegetables and nothing else. Some days I eat nothing - the reflux is just as bad. And I am like you, where I only have water and the acid is still coming up. I am currently in bed, wheezing and struggling for breath. I am seeing another doctor in December and I am going to push for an Endoscopy. I know this was an old video but I was wondering how you are now? Also, have you considered surgery? The problem is, they put us on all these tablets but it’s not treating the root cause of the problem, which is a valve above the stomach not closing. I utterly and totally feel your frustration. I am going through it too. I spend my days too unwell to do most things. I can’t even walk without gasping for air. I hope we can find a solution. I’m going to push and push until I find an answer. I sincerely hope you are better now.
u should try some natural herbs like ginger tea, aloe vera, slippery elm to sooth ur esophagus and stomach....aloe vera is soo good especially for an inflamed esophagus
Ginger tea - Pukka brand is the best I've found Camomile tea - twinings pyramid bags Fennel tea - twinings Aloe Vera juice Braggs apple cider vinegar from Holland and Barratt. A little apple cider vinegar in water is good for low stomach acid and digestion.
had my 2nd one today horrible it was but i did it with no sedation all normal aparantly .so its not acid thats causing my cough but at least stomach ok for now .hope your feeling better
I had the same procedure, I’ve been under the Gastroenterologist team for about 3 years! They diagnosed me with a Hiatus Hernia, which is where the Stomach is pushed through the surface of the diaphragm, I’ve been put on a Permanent Medication 😔
Laura Masters thank you for the quick reply I’m going through many of the same symptoms right now and would like to thank you for making such a video. This is tough I’ve test positive for it and can only hope it can be cured. I’m due for an endoscopy and am gonna do it without sedation.
I just had my endoscopy yesterday and well they said everything was normal.... yeah that’s because nothing was inflamed enough. Now I know the struggle. I can only hope this goes away after my h. Pylori infection as it is still very hard to eat solid foods.
I know an upper endoscopy can be done through the nose but I do not think this is common in the UK. I think it would only be done in certain circumstances.
No worries :) I've made a more updated video on my channel about this, but I've had more tests which came back clear and one of my friends suggested I could have a disorder which basically is where stress and anxiety builds up and causes physical health problems. My follow up appointment is in December so I don't really have anywhere to go, so I've been trying not to focus on my stomach and live my life, and although there is still some upset it is not as bad, so at the very least stress is making it worse. But I'm still not really sure what's going on :/ So it has improved, but it's still there at the same time x
Get well soon Laura and don't let this stop you from living, you are strong and beautiful.
Thank you for sharing your inspiring story with me, thank you, I will continue to keep moving forward - I just want to do the best for myself you know?
Thank you so much for your comment
I’m so sorry for your suffering. I hope you are doing better now ❤️
Thank you for your comment, I am doing a lot better now
Stress and anxiety only makes stomach issues worse because of the mind and gut connection. I have ibs and I have to manage it as well. Just practice stress techniques and believe ur doctor when they say nothing serious going on. U will be surprised of the outcome when negative thoughts go away. Take care
Thank you so much for your comment. It is incredible how right you are about the mind and gut connection! I'm doing a lot better now because of this understanding :)
absolutely Marcus..stress kills the gut ! it can be cyclical from old traumas too. God Bless.
I do hope you’ve made a recovery Laura.
those are symptoms of gerd (gastro esophageal reflux disease ) diagnosed by an upper g/i . my gerd is controlled easily by taking raninitdine. i had upper endoscopy without sedation only numbing fluid. it went very well and easy . i had 2 colonoscopies without sedation no problem just a little unncomfortable . i had no conscious sedation because you need a resposible escort to take you home . in japan its common medical practice to do these kinds of exams without sedation. please dont let your anxiety fret you out , this is a extremely common medical issue. embrace your anxieties about it. there is a plethora of over the counter medicines that will relieve your symptoms. dont be afraid you have nothing to fear but fear itself. to all the other viewers and readers its not difficult dont let your imaginations run amok stare your fears right in the face. peace
What was your discomfort level? Scale of 1 to 10?
Hi Laura: T
Thanks for your video. It enabled me to know what to expect when not having sedation. I had my endoscopy today without sedation and without any discomfort, thanks to you.
Thank you so much for your comment Mike, I'm glad your procedure went well :)
Im thinking of having it without sedation, what was ur discomfort scale of 1 to 10?
@@andrewsmith3257 mine was went from a 7 when it went in to around a 3/4 when it was in. I just went to another place in my head! Was breathing and before i knew it, it was over. Wasn't the worst thing ive ever had by far.

@@andrewsmith3257 mine barely showed anything. They put it down to stress and anxiety for me.
It's hard to stay positive, it's just a performance to quite an extent at the moment :/
I've never heard of Zofran before, currently I am taking Copermin IBS relief tablets as they seem to help with the stomach cramping and bloating I also experience.
Thank you so much sweet, and I wish the same to you with the gastric emptying procedure
Watching this I just wish I could give you a big hug. You are so sweet. I hope you feel better now.
Thank you so much - I am doing much better now
@@LauraElizabeth what helped?
CÖDIE WRYDROP how do you feel now since you changed your diet, I mean with the vegetables
How long was the procedure? What was your discomfort level?
@@bayoibiyemi5268 sadly, I had gone back to my old diet as I have lost so much weight... now back on daily omeprazole 20mg once a day
@@andrewsmith3257 I am a bit sensitive and struggles with anything place inside my mouth, even hates dentist so with the endoscope inside my throat or via nose through the throat I felt like vomiting but the procedure was not long, think maybe Max 15-20 mins... once they have taken photos of my stomach lining and saw my hiatus hernia it was then time to remove the endoscopy.
I want to hug you! I feel your pain soo much!
Thank you
Hi Laura, I had an endoscopy last thrusday.

I feel your pain...... frustrating I know.... thank you for sharing....so sorry to see you still suffering

Your more then welcome hun ❤️
Hey Laura,
Im getting exactly these symptoms with the acid reflux and burning throat.
Totally understand how you feel I'm already in the same situation. I'm not sure whether to get sedation or not for the endoscopy.
Xx-Eternal Gaming-xX How big
Is the tube and did you
Feel like puking
@@Goku-ih6gl The tube is like the size of your laptop power adapter cable, and at first you may puke and feel uncomfortable but it is just for a few moments, approximately 4 to 6 minutes. You can do it , it's not painful but uncomfortable though.Hope that helps.
Xx-Eternal Gaming-xX thanks
Xx-Eternal Gaming-xX Mine didn’t go well i was gagging to much they had to stop
@@Goku-ih6gl sad to hear it,what will you do now .
I hate sedation and general anesthesia because they always trigger depressive episodes and sometimes even suicid@l ones
Edit : It's done.
Hi have you tried an antidepressent or stress reliever because sometimes stress can cause this to be worse as it did with me.
I had not at the time, however I am currently taking one and I have found it does help anxiety symptoms. Thank you for the suggestion :)
You may get as healthy as you were Launa, you are strong!!
Thank you for your comment
Hey! I have the exact same symptoms and have an edoscopy in two days! Im sorry you didn’t get the results you longed for!! I am hoping you are ok now? Have your symptoms improved
Apologies for the late reply, yes I am feeling a lot better now, thank you. I hope you have managed to find an answer to your symptoms too
HAVE YOU TRIED GIVING UP GLUTEN...
Turns out you were right! This alongside lactose, high sugar and high fat foods are my triggers :)
@@LauraElizabeth hi how’s it going did you recover ?
I’m getting an endoscopy on October 9th at 1:30 pm and can’t eat or drink anything I’m kinda scared to do it.
Laura ,you are brave for sure.Im a very hard one to get a iv in also but I no way can do it with out sedation.Im waiting on the apt as we speak.i live in LAS VEGAS NV. .Good luck with the results. Thank you for your comment, I hope your procedure went ok :)
Had the camera done today, I was nervous after watching UA-cam vids like yours but thought the procedure was very easy, slight uncomfortable but a lot less than I was expecting
Did you get an answer to what the real problem is?
How are you doing now? Are you cured?
Thank you for your comment, I am feeling a lot better now, thank you. I will be posting an update video soon if you are still interested in my journey
Did u ever got better ? What was it ?
Have you tried omperazole? X
Abbie Hope I have done but it made my symptoms worse sadly :/
Thank you for your comment :)
I’m having stomach problems too I hope we can both get fixed together
Manley Bose3 I hope so too xx
I hope you're feeling better now
Dear Laura, listening to what you went through broke my heart.
Please say you found the reason behind this problem???
I am sad and hope you have found an answer I feel your distress .....I pray they have found an answer bless you .....I am feeling as you do I am supposed to have it done next week ...but dought I will go through with it and I will manage the situation I am in ...which has been very very painful ..but now settled the last 24hrs ..but may reoccur
Thank you for your comment, I hope you have found a way to manage your symptoms x
I am so sorry you had to go through this :(.. I am having my first endoscopy today *fingers-crossed*
how was it
Thank you for your comment, I hope your procedure went ok
I know this video is old but I hope you feel better did they ever check you for h pylori sounds like those symptoms
Thank you for the video: I have had 4 sessions without sedation - NOT NICE - and one with sedation, ...no more without sedation for me.
Thank you for your comment, I hope your procedure went ok
what kind of medicine you used?
Good luck.
Thank you for your comment, I haven't had that test done, but luckily I have been able to manage my symptoms :)
Lourica Neal Thank you for this comment x
You welcome! Just want you to know I understand your pain even if others don't. I will try to be strong too. If it helps I changed my diet a little to try to reverse this. I am a vegan now. I don't eat dairy or drink milk from a cow. I drink soy milk but the unsweetened kind. I have no sugar at all. I am on a plant based diet for 70 days before my full submission to being a vegan. Maybe you can try this. I have had a few better results from this. :)
I have the same problem , I just stop eating after 5 pm and light meals , and I have been feeling better , good luck everyone.
how was the scope. how are you now?
Exactly what I have i have stomach pain x
please tell me you doing better now and how you done because i literally did the same thing today and they basically told me im fine and im clueless i was expecting surgery referral because i been suffering
Did they ever find out what’s wrong ?
It was IBS, and the stress of the situation made it worse x
Thank you for your video, I didn't want to look into it much before the procedure as I was scared prior and didn't want to worry myself too much but after today I found out that it's a horrible experience! I only used the numbing spray like you also but I think if I was to have to have it done again I would go for sedation too as it was so hard for my body just to allow the tube to be put down my throat! It's not natural, soon as that tube was taken out I just sobbed becausw I was in shock and it was embarrassing due to all the burping and gagging!
What you're describing is something I get all the time. I'm working with a naturopath to heal it... could you maybe look into that?
Thank you for the suggestion :)
Laura Masters Thanks I will. I'm getting a colonoscopy done at the same time so that should be fun lmao.
Ah, my friend has had that done before - I can't imagine it's the most pleasant of things, but it's only one 24 hour day to get through :)
I'm so glad this went so well for you - I wish I'd have had sedation but my nurse seemed like she didn't know where to find a vein xD
I'm sorry to hear your appointment was cancelled - I hope the specialist you will see can help you out with your problem x
How are you feeling now?
Apologies for the late reply, I am feeling much better now, thank you
Im scared of sedation.
Are you taking an acid blocker like Prevacid?
I don't think I have before, but I have been on PPI's such as Lansoprazole and Omeprazole and it didn't help my condition x
Laura Masters Thank you so much. ☺
You're very welcome sweet, feel free to keep me updated
God bless you be strong
Thank you
Laura have you gotten better?
Thank you very much for your message, I hope you are doing ok
Laura you are entitled to a stomach tablet which you take first thing in a morning before you eat. It's on NHS. Hope you have been back to you gp and sorted it out.
I have my 1st endoscopy in 2 days time. After watching this I’m freaking out.
I feel so sorry for you get well soon godbless you
Thank you for your comment
I'm getting an endoscopy on the 20th. I'm having similar symptoms, and im worried its the worst case scenario. They are also taking biopsies and im totally freaking out, i hope it's not stomach cancer. :( I got an upper gi series a couple months ago and it said it suggest gastritis so im not sure, and my symptoms happened out of nowhere so i understand your pain and worries. Thank you for sharing with us and i hope things get better for you.
Hello, what's the result and I hope you are doing fine now.
@@osawaruenorense1596 Well, my most recent endoscopy(last year in March) showed no signs of Barrett's esophagus. Idk what's with that but apparently I don't have it anymore...
have you gotten better?
Did you ever find a answer?
Try apple cider vinger in water
Did they insert a though mouth or nose?
Hi, it was through the mouth :)
Laura how are you feeling now ?
hope you feel better got my 2nd one on wed x
Thank you, good luck! x
Thank you, I hope the procedure went well for you
Just had this done 2 hrs ago Laura,. It was brutal. I had no idea what I was getting into and watched nothing about it or read up about it.
u should try some natural herbs like ginger tea, aloe vera, slippery elm to sooth ur esophagus and stomach....aloe vera is soo good especially for an inflamed esophagus
Ah ok, thank you for this information! Do you know where I could find these products? :)
Laura Masters um in organic stores and supermarkets u can even buy them online in amazon or other organic stores whatever works for you..
btw no prob
Ginger tea - Pukka brand is the best I've found
Camomile tea - twinings pyramid bags
Fennel tea - twinings
Aloe Vera juice
Braggs apple cider vinegar from Holland and Barratt.
A little apple cider vinegar in water is good for low stomach acid and digestion.
had my 2nd one today horrible it was but i did it with no sedation all normal aparantly .so its not acid thats causing my cough but at least stomach
ok for now .hope your feeling better
Thank you, I'm glad it came back clear as it's not something really bad going on - I hope you find the answer soon x
I had the same procedure, I’ve been under the Gastroenterologist team for about 3 years! They diagnosed me with a Hiatus Hernia, which is where the Stomach is pushed through the surface of the diaphragm, I’ve been put on a Permanent Medication 😔
I had the Procedure without Sedation, the procedure is scary but it is the most precise way to identify an issue 🙂
I can totally relate...each day is so painful...
Did they ever check you for h. Pylori?
They did but it came up as negative
Laura Masters thank you for the quick reply I’m going through many of the same symptoms right now and would like to thank you for making such a video. This is tough I’ve test positive for it and can only hope it can be cured. I’m due for an endoscopy and am gonna do it without sedation.
I just had my endoscopy yesterday and well they said everything was normal.... yeah that’s because nothing was inflamed enough. Now I know the struggle. I can only hope this goes away after my h. Pylori infection as it is still very hard to eat solid foods.
I thought an upper endoscopy referred to having one done through the nose without sedation and because it is through the nose there is no gag
I know an upper endoscopy can be done through the nose but I do not think this is common in the UK. I think it would only be done in certain circumstances.
Laura Masters thanks for replying. Any improvement in your condition?
No worries :) I've made a more updated video on my channel about this, but I've had more tests which came back clear and one of my friends suggested I could have a disorder which basically is where stress and anxiety builds up and causes physical health problems. My follow up appointment is in December so I don't really have anywhere to go, so I've been trying not to focus on my stomach and live my life, and although there is still some upset it is not as bad, so at the very least stress is making it worse. But I'm still not really sure what's going on :/ So it has improved, but it's still there at the same time x
A good water distiller will help immensely.
Thank you for the suggestion :)
