Mike's been doing a few interviews, and I have to say, I've become sort of obsessed with him as an artist who has something to say. more interviews please Mike.
Myers is one of the few comedians who I would say is a genius. I had no idea the Pentaverate was even a thing. I can't wait to watch it. And I love his comments on the Beatles and Get Back.
The folding of paper money to reveal a conspiracy "clue" is a real ass thing with Qanon! A customer I had at a yard sale last summer was trying to do it and had to call her husband over for help....and it made no sense, even when he did. They also confided in me, in stage whispers, that JFK Jr was going to resurface and save the country in a matter of weeks. They were sweet people. It was very depressing. Thanks for making it funny, Mike! So wonderful to see you again💙
They recycled all the old conspiracies and rolled them up into this new one. That dollar bill trick was a big Illuminati thing, adrenochrome is another Blood Libel. Everything old is new again.
I'd met Glen Cochrane on a number of occasions via family. Glen had mentioned more than once how touched he was by Mike Myers’ kind comments in interviews regarding him.
I watched the Pentaverate, and it's not the funniest thing Mike Myers has ever made, but there's such a joy to everything he does. It's like watching a child play. I will definitely keep watching whatever crazy crap he comes up with.
I really liked the Pentaverate! The humour is great! I laughed outload every episode. I love how they are taking the mickey out of Conspiracy Theories.
Ha, ha! I do, too, and Mike nailed it. We had a rotating antenna which got us the local channels like 5/CBC, 9/CFTO, 11/CHCH, 57/CityTV and 2 from Buffalo and Rochester. I like that a character is called Joe Scarborough, after the suburb I grew up in.
I grew up in Montreal, but moved to Toronto in the mid 70s. Watching that show especially with Glenn Cochrane on TV and Jocko Thomas (reporting to CFRB from police headquaaarrrters) on radio made me feel I was living in the biggest small town in the world.

I really have to meet my fellow Canuck Mike Myers. He created a wonderful book about Canada that means a lot to me. In Canada's centennial year of 1967, the Centennial Train-the rolling museum on rails that crossed Canada from coast to coast was here in Halifax, NS. I was aboard that train. One of my early memories. The Centennial Train is IN Mike Myers's book Canada! The shock I felt when I saw it in his book! "Hey, I was aboard that train!"
That thing with the $5 bill... that's not even an exaggeration at how weak, easily debunkable and ill-conceived many conspiracy theories are. Well done, fellow Canuck, well done!
The world would be a better place if more people were as genuine as Mike. Oh, wait a sec are you saying thats Canada ??? Aha, conspiracy !!! Such a good Man.
With the previous, paper Canadian bills, you could fold the bill just inside the outer edges of the mouth of whatever person was on it - the Queen, John A McDonald, etc - then tilt the billl forward and back to make them smile or frown. It was an amusing trick. It can be done on the new plastic bills, but not as effectively, because not all of the portraits are straight-on views.
Why no mention of the best story of all relative to Wayne's World? That Mike Myers wasn't afraid to fight the suits to keep Bohemian Rhapsody (they wanted that stupid Guns&Roses song, 'Jungle') But Mike's got balls as big as church bells, and fought the mofos till they relented and let him keep Queen. That is a great story!
This Torontonian remembers Glen Cochrane. That reference makes me happy, as I’m currently in the process of watching the Netflix series. It's like the fold-ins at the back of old MAD Magazines. And just about as valid. BTW Al Jaffee is still with us at 101 years old.
People want a community to belong to, it's just that simple - QAnon has low entry bar.

I remember in 2002-2003 people were folding the $20 Bill to make the Twin Towers burning claiming it was proof of a conspiracy.
