yah cause he killed his career after the Austin Powers series. The love guru was absolutely horrible, was there any successful movies he starred in after Austin Powers? The only thing I remember about the guy when he was actually still famous was that he showed his dick to Britany spears. The guys got one successful trilogy, the rest flopped.

He definitely seems to have relaxed more with age. Many actors and directors said he was very difficult to work with which is probably a major reason he fell from the acting scene slightly.

Having my formative years of exposure to comedy being the era when Mike Myers, Chris Farley, Dana Carvey, Phil Hartman, Chris Rock, Norm, Adam Sandler, etc. were on SNL feels like a gift. So I’ve always follow these guys and their careers. It’s no secret that Mike has had ups and downs with his costars and career. But he genuinely feels like he’s back to what he used to be and loves to do. And I think a huge part of that was him making peace with himself and Dana Carvey. Eh, on Wayne's World he wanted 6 changes done to improve the final cut, and the director said, no, I don't feel like working on it any more. That's what made him 'difficult,' LOL.

Pentaverate is so great. It was incredibly refreshing to get a big dose of Mike's humor. I grew up seeing a lot of his work, and I don't think I realized till now how much I've been missing it recently. Love that fella.

"Alright, how fast can we find this funny?" That's the best way to live right there. People get so precious about things these days, and hey I get it, some stuff is important for sure, but that doesn't mean you can't also have a chuckle and enjoy yourself for fuck sakes.

Awe, he's so delightful and genuine! I love hearing his thoughts. *smiles* Also, that 'Canadian lilt' (up-speak) appears more in the easterly part of our country and is a lot softer, to the point that it's not noticeable. The Canadian accent is different all across the country.

8:30 that whole sentence made so much sense. "who do you think you are?" vs "who you want to be?" As great as Canadian film is, there are reasons why most good stuff is done in the US.

Brilliant! Every Saturday night…….and thank you for “So I married an axe murder!”….best film u made in my book!………keep Canada 🇨🇦 alive and SHAAAWING!

When you go back and watch the SNL sketches with Jan Hooks, you realize that she was the glue that held them together. Rarely was she the flashy character, but they couldn't work without her.

    • @jedijones

I was very pleased to see him mention her more than once in this. I think he's right that she was playful even though she took the craft of performing very seriously. She was gifted with a lot of natural talent. And made a great 'work wife' for Phil Hartman in all their sketches together. Worth looking at the early Wayne's World sketches where she briefly played Wayne's girlfriend.

Loved his comments on the classic SNL era. It's a shame so much material from those episodes is not readily available online. Everyone should watch the entire Dana Carvey and Mike Myers years on SNL. He, the rest of the cast and the writers were on fire during that time.
