I love how this interview turned into Jerry being the host and asking the questions 😂
i read jimmy's a heavy drinker might be the reason looks out of it at certain points
It's because the other guy just sucks at it. And Jerry, the consumate pro, had to fill in.
that's because knowledge will forever govern ignorance. ;)
he asked one question...
All Jimmy does is laugh at his guests, he can't interview. I miss Conan.
Jerry wears jeans in LITERALLY E-V-E-R-Y episode of Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee xD
🤣
And a tacky blazer and tacky sneakers to round it out!!! 😂😂😂
What he's saying is, you can wear them, you're just not gonna look cool in them at a more mature age. And he's right!!🤣😂
It’s a joke. Everyone makes it seem like what comedians say is 100% what they believe.
@@saulcarrasco8086 I wear jeans and look better than most 20 year old's who wear them.
Seinfeld is the master of whatever you call this.
He is the master of "Nothing"😝😝

Haha exactly
Comedy!!! The classical stand up comedy!! Without any sexual reference or cursing!!
It's call Observational comedy. It's based on the little things that ppl usually takes for granted or never aware of.
7:49 "All men dress in the style of the last good year of their lives" That is why SEINFLED is a GENIUS

Don't you guys know that was a line in seinfeld from 94
Not at all true, but hey it's Seinfeld.
"SEINFLED!?" No, he is "Seinfeld."
“All dads dress in the style of the last good year of their lives” that’s hilarious
so true and something I always noticed, and when an adult does try and dress in whatever is hip among the young people they are always looking ridiculous
@@DeE-pt5lz One of the things I've noticed is that all males dress the same now. When I was a kid adults didn't dress like kids or teenagers, they dressed like adults. Now everyone dresses the same. Maybe it's the same for females as well.
Gerry Dooley jeans and a plaid button down? 😂
How old is old? I guarantee I look better in daisy dukes and a belly shirt in my early 40s than most of my daughters friends would at 20.
I don't dress that way to be hip or young.
I do it because rural Texas is like living on Mercury
@Sideways Rain oh oh. I was afraid of that. I have all those.
Jerry is interviewing himself... nice
MaleckaInes some people really always got something negative to say about everything. Usually they complain that Jimmy doesn’t let his guests talk, now finally here’s a guest that won’t let jimmy talk over him all the time and people complain that he’s “interviewing himself”. Ugh. Can you enjoy a video without finding something negative to criticize?
@@depressionbeard9882 ? no one complained, it was just an observation.
Depression Beard are you David Letterman?
MaleckaInes But I bet you love Sarah Silverman who does nothing but talk about herself. Stupid psycho feminist
Peach Plastic an observation followed by “... nice” is obviously loaded with judgment, attitude and criticism/complaint. Don’t tell me otherwise.
But hey, nice try.
"I don't think people like me. Next train crossing I'm going for it." LMFAO
Jimmy fallon behaves like a starstruck schoolgirl in every interview he does 😂
jimmy readin this goin 'this is how i make money baby'
He's being humble among his peers. Although he's multi-talented!
I love it
jimmy sucks
Totally agree.
The "it depends" at the end was one of the funniest things Jimmy has said in quite a while. Jerry set him up and he delivered.
Right? Ended on the Classic rule of 3, just to boot.
thots be lyin
Lobbed it up like a softball and Jimmy hit it out of the park
And Jerry loves those small comedic nuances too. Classic call back.
Somehow the most completely different comedians mixed together an entertaining segment. Mostly Seinfeld
"it depends"😂🤣🤣🤣
CD Smith no it wasn’t. That sophomoric type of humor would’ve ruined it.
that whole "it depends" thing got me rolling at the end xD
Yep, that was some great comedic timing. Had me creaking up.
i closed my eyes for 2 seconds and all i could think of is jimmy talking to a goddamn bee.

When he does that fake laugh it’s just wonderful.
Love Jimmy!
Jimmy is a prick
It's "Fallon" but you may be on to something.
You misspelled ass-kisser
That last “it depends” was the epitome me of a slow burn joke. Something or an idea introduced long ago then brought back without warning for comedic effect. It’s amazing how it came about organically. Jerry and Jimmy have some good comedic chemistry
Yes, but you still know the set up because you've seen other people be angry about stuff. Watch Eddie Pepitone; Jerry is angrier.
it's called a callback.
It was a good setup. It’s really a friend interviewing a friend. They have talked about many things before. Jimmy was also one of the best guest on cars and coffee which is Seinfeld’s show. One of the best episodes because they have good chemistry organically.
Wasn't that funny, this kind of humour is done to death and pure cheese
25 years later... And Seinfield still being the number 1!!! His quality and timing are like brand news...
Just watching this it was like coming back in time to the glorious 90's!!!
Seinfeld is still funny as ever.
Norm is #1, haha. But Seinfeld is up there.
If Fallon ever gets arrested and the judge court reads him his crime and he still giggles half way then Ill know he's laughter is genuine.
Just remember Jimmy Fallon is not watching no UA-cam videos of you!!!
Why I cannot watch this show. Grow up. He is such a child.
P0ETICsin it's not
ugh it's getting so old... You guys complain about him being fake but have you all ever watched him before tonight show? He has been like that since his days of SNL.. Some jealous trolls just criticized him & everyone else just joined the rant to look hip -_-
Why the hell are you here watching if you think he's fake? Just to be a dick. Go watch videos that you like and feel better about your life.
I'm here for the whole interview. No complaints. I always want to hear Jerry's insights on things. Never gets old.
He is always funny, Jerry Seinfeld and if you don't want him to take control of your show, don't have him on. He is forever and wonderfully funny!
Actually in the episode hosting Jimmy Fallon he wears shorts cuz they went boating

That pressure from Seinfeld at the end was refreshingly real for national TV.
I respect Seinfeld’s brutal honesty way more than Fallon’s pg politeness.
I am UA-cam's supreme being! Follow me and be part of the greatest community on the Earth! Thanks for being a fan, memoryhero
Now that Seinfeld himself isn't beholden to a network it's not surprising he said that because he lived it when "Seinfeld" was on the air!
@@AxxLAfriku You're begging for subs but make videos about people begging for subs on your channel. How can you be a supreme being with such flawed logic?
Jeffrey Birman it was a scripted fictional sitcom
One of the funnier Fallon interviews in a long time. Jerry has a way of bringing out the old comedians inner comedian after they've covered it all up with tv network policy.
Jimmy was not on the ball for the whole interview but he really brought it home with the call back at the end 👏👏👏
Best interviews were Carson-Dangerfield.
It's a shame he sucked all the air out of the joke by banging the desk and laughing at his own humor like a moron.
Jerry has always been himself - a straight shooter ! I like him and his sarcasm because he is very down to Earth - he can pinpoint anything to a very situation happening ...
I love Jerry and he's a hero of mine but... no one tries out bits on talk shows more obviously than Jerry. He doesn't even try to act conversational. He might as well just say right off the top "Jimmy I'm glad to be here, nice to see ya, I'm gonna work out some bits..."
Keithnicity Thats because no one else tries out new bits on talk shows period. It takes balls to do that. And I would happily choose to watch Seinfeld test out bits on talk shows over all the other comedians who actually do OLD BITS on talk shows that I’ve already seen them do in their stand up specials.
Haha. Srsly. That was awesome. That's rly all i wanted anyway
Jerry is old school. Back in the day, comedians did not pretend to have a conversation with Johnny, they would just do their comedy AT him.
@Depression Beard no way dude. Most comedians do not rehash bits from released specials for talk show appearances, that would be career suicide
Don't know if you've ever watched other comedians on talk shows but they do their bits all the time. 90% of what comes out of their mouths is a prepared bit.
I wouldn't even consider it trying out bits, it's just that since Jerry is a comedian, he thinks of every topic in a comedic way and delivers everything like a bit. I work on a talk show and our guests discuss what they'll talk about before the show, but someone say Kim Kardashian if asked to talk about her thanksgiving, wouldn't be able to come up with anything funny to say since she's not a comedian. She would just rely on the host to make it funny.
"Every dad dresses in the style of the last good years of there life" lol soo true
I think the majority of men give about as much thought to what they are wearing ( unless going to work, church etc.) as do to quantum physics. My wife is constantly saying, "You're not wearing THAT?!" I'm always saying, "Why not?" Who cares? I'm covered. That's the function of clothing.

He’s horrendous. Conan should’ve gotten the Tonight Show.
@@codeblue8922 Agreed, from all of them he's the worst. I even can stand Kimmel's deadpan style...but Fallon is like a hyperactive Captain obvious with the humor of an immature, randy virgin. It's WAY more funny a heart attack on Christmas!

Fresh Prince Of Darkness Conan is a jackass
'Merve ' Fallon ( I know I'm old)
Wow, I couldn't stop laughing after Jimmy said "It depends".
"Older men wearing jeans" begins around 6:20. You're welcome
Thank you, I thought that Jerry would not ever be a PC jackass. "Subjugation of Native Americans," they were people trying to get along in life just like the rest of us.

"As long as you don't loss the parakeet your fine" I'm dead😂
I love how Jerry keeps talking like they're the same age when he's old enough to be Jimmy's dad.
I know, right? And Jimmy let's him! Sorry, I would have had to call Jerry out on that, lol
Agreed.
Ha! Boomers being ageist
I am 62 and have a very good friend who is 25 that I met at work. Neither one of us works there now but we kept in touch and still talk many hours a week with him on the phone. I don't know how old you are but the reality is people from the age of about 34 -40 stay pretty much the same regardless of their age. And a good argument could be made that we all stay the same from much much younger than that. If you think people should act differently as they age I don't know where you are getting that from. It's pure bollocks.
john noe thats a really stupid thing to say. If you are in your 40s and still the have the same outlook and understanding of life you had when you were in your 20s then i feel sorry for you.
Jimmy Fallon was really struggling most of this interview, luckily he nailed it at the end. Always great to see Jerry.

The "No. Come on" at 8:34 is soooooooo Seinfeld. Man that was perfect 😂
Jimmy's such a yes man he's not sure what to say to say to any of Jerry's questions to continue the bit
The last "It depends..." got me crying laughing. Oh boy, what an unexpected laughing. Great stuff from both of these guys.
Jimmy really nailed the ending there
Jimmy did the Costanza exit and left on a high note with the last big laugh ...
Jerry should have a late night show!
"It depends." 😂😂😂
Jerry keeps getting older and older, but his comedy never dies.
I love jerry. His Halloween/ trick or treating stand- up is one of my favorites of all time. 🤣
You get to your first house and it's like
Trick or .... Snap 😂
all jerry ever wears is jeans, sneakers and a shirt and blazer lol
Jimmy has definitely gotten yelled at about using her in a joke.
Jimmy said it depends because sometimes getting nothing from your jokes is worse. So it depends what he means by yelling.
I yelled at today at someone. I can't remember where.
It depends
Jimmy looked really uncomfortable...when Jerry kept saying “men our age” it reminded me of Carrie Bradshaw in the SATC 2 movie saying to Samantha “uh women who are NOT our age, shouldn’t be saying women our age” Jerry has 20 years on Jimmy! I don’t know why he’s talking like they’re both over sixty+ Jimmy’s too nice, but it would have been hilarious if he was like ‘speak for yourself old man!’ 😂
He didn't say "men of our age", he said "mature men like ourselves". And frankly Jerry looks incredible for his age.
Yeah but Jimmy is too stupid to realize that
jimmy is shit compared to jerry in looks and intelligence.
Well he did say ‘mature men’ not ‘men our age’... still.
It's uncomfortable anytime you're out of your league. Just sayin'... There were moments where Jerry was totally f**ing with Jimmy, and Jimmy was completely helpless.
Always a pleasure to watch a professional working, Jerry Seinfeld is such a great comedian.
I can honestly say that after 15 years of marriage "it depends" is by far the best answer you can give about your wife and your relationship with her
Jerry killed this whole 12 minutes. Jimmy was just hanging on. LOL!!
Jimmy brought it back with the "..it depends" and finished strong. He build that up over the interview and nailed the opportunity!
Yeah with his trademark "fake Jimmy laugh"
ALL BORING AND DUMB AS HELL
YEAH, he killed 80% of my brain cells just listening to his flat, non-funny schtick. He bombed so bad here.
The funniest part of this was how Jerry twice referred to being in the same age group Jimmy. I’m two years younger than Jerry and as sad and painful as this is to admit, I’m several “age groups” older than Jimmy Fallon. What makes Jimmy Fallon the nicest late night host is that he didn’t step on Jerry’s set up..
I was thinking the same thing. Jerry is the same age as Jimmy's parents! And it was nice of Jimmy to let Jerry do his thing without pointing out the truth: Jerry is 64 years old, an old guy about to qualify for senior discounts whose oldest child is over 18. Jimmy just turned 44, a comparatively young man (and much newer dad, raising a couple of toddlers) who is NOT "of a certain age."
Jerry is pretty much grandpa age. Jimmy can still wear whatever jeans he wants! I remember in the early 90s, years before his marriage, Jerry dated Shoshana Lonstein, who was my age: at the time she was an 18 year old living in Manhattan (she then went to GWU in DC, after a few years broke up with Jerry, eventually married someone else, and she's now a successful fashion designer). Shoshana is a year younger than Jimmy Fallon: at the time Jerry's relationship was was a HUGE scandal because of the several-decades age difference and the fact that his girlfriend had to move out of her shared DC dormatory to a private apartment in Foggy Bottom with girlfriends to avoid paparazzi as a new college student. (Jerry's eventual marriage to Jessica was also a scandal because when they met and he proposed she had just married someone else... but that's ancient history now.).
Point is NO. Jerry, you CAN lump yourself in with Jimmy as a married family man, and you can lump yourself in with Jimmy as a comedian living in NYC but even for comedy you can't pretend to be anything close to the same age demographic.
@@sparklemotion1018 it was a joke... he's saying jimmy is in the "old man" age group now
40 is beyond old man status, by age alone
@@noahhurley-abelew6536 True, but Jimmy is naturally handsome (and he's TV-star rich) so he's going to look better than the average middle-aged man in jeans even if he tried too hard with his shoes. Jerry, otoh, is rich but his looks never won him success; he looks just like my wealthy uncles and all the other rich Jewish dudes I see every day walking around the Upper West Side. Jerry in jeans is much closer to lame than Jimmy.
@@sheepnoisebah And Jimmy took it well, even if it's not exactly true... yet.

I hate how he is always saying that comedians are some special kind of humans, and that he can’t talk to normal people.

"Okay, that's a no!" He is such a talent. My favorite comedian ever!
This is one of the funniest interview segments ever. I absolutely love it when theses two get together! And I will say this: Jerry and Jimmy have no sneaker game. We're just staring at their feet!

11:46 - "it depends"
This is a genuine moment of comedians - comedy writers - riffing off each other and coming up with a great punchline on-the-fly.
People complain about Jimmy's "fake laugh", but you can always tell when he is genuinely happy and amused.
It was so perfect. It reminded me of Seinfeld where they would end an episode by bringing back a line that was used previously in the episode. Honestly genius by Jimmy to recall that from earlier and using it again. Timed to perfection.

Willie Nelson's Grandmother did that to him too, she set out a picket line & tied him to it like he was a horse. "Now, go play. In this circle." LOL
Jerry's story about his mom tying him to the garage door reminded me: My mom tied a rope from the clothesline in the back yard to the back of my overalls, so I couldn't untie it.
So I just took my overalls off and left.

"it depends" is the best verbal emergency exit for questions you are too cowardly to answer.
but the answer is always yes
Or conversely one could say yes or no but either answer needs qualifying. Not all answers are black and white or fifty shades of gray. It’s tricky speaking for your spouse or explaining the details of why you answer one way or another especially on tv where time can’t be wasted unless you own the studio (which Jerry could buy)
Not quite. Not all questions are Yes or No types. So, It depends what type of question you're being asked.
