Jimmy just turned 44, a comparatively young man (and much newer dad, raising a couple of toddlers) who is NOT "of a certain age." Jerry is pretty much grandpa age. Jimmy can still wear whatever jeans he wants! I remember in the early 90s, years before his marriage, Jerry dated Shoshana Lonstein, who was my age: at the time she was an 18 year old living in Manhattan (she then went to GWU in DC, after a few years broke up with Jerry, eventually married someone else, and she's now a successful fashion designer). Shoshana is a year younger than Jimmy Fallon: at the time Jerry's relationship was was a HUGE scandal because of the several-decades age difference and the fact that his girlfriend had to move out of her shared DC dormatory to a private apartment in Foggy Bottom with girlfriends to avoid paparazzi as a new college student. (Jerry's eventual marriage to Jessica was also a scandal because when they met and he proposed she had just married someone else... but that's ancient history now.). Point is NO. Jerry, you CAN lump yourself in with Jimmy as a married family man, and you can lump yourself in with Jimmy as a comedian living in NYC but even for comedy you can't pretend to be anything close to the same age demographic.

I agree. If you take care of yourself and fit you can rock it at any age. Its the super skinny jeans that can look ridiculous or super baggy dad jeans.
11:46 - "it depends" This is a genuine moment of comedians - comedy writers - riffing off each other and coming up with a great punchline on-the-fly. People complain about Jimmy's "fake laugh", but you can always tell when he is genuinely happy and amused.
It was so perfect. It reminded me of Seinfeld where they would end an episode by bringing back a line that was used previously in the episode. Honestly genius by Jimmy to recall that from earlier and using it again. Timed to perfection.
This is one of the funniest interview segments ever. I absolutely love it when theses two get together! And I will say this: Jerry and Jimmy have no sneaker game. They have many colorful pairs sneakers but no game! What happened to classic white? Or a simple stripe, or two or three? C'mon! They wear blah up top and all the excitement is at their feet! We're just staring at their feet!
Jerry's story about his mom tying him to the garage door reminded me: My mom tied a rope from the clothesline in the back yard to the back of my overalls, so I couldn't untie it. So I just took my overalls off and left.
You men can look cool in jeans as older gentlemen! Just don't be too trendy by wearing the skinnier cuts you see young people wearing now. Also don't wear light wash jeans. Dark wash jeans in a classic straight cut that isn't too tight or too baggy, will always look effortlessly COOL. I see most men look good in 559 Levi's They are considered a relaxed straight cut. So go for DARK COLOR and STRAIGHT LEG ! BAM.
If they have the body for them it doesn’t matter what age they are. The problem is most men never change the size they wear their entire lives and just let their growing bellies hang over. Yuck! (My husband included but he doesn’t listen to me!)
Minda Fraser. Older guys couldn't give a shit about being cool. We are in to comfort. I wear jeans because they're comfortable. Any guy over 50 who wears anything just because it's "cool", "hip" or stylish is an idiot and needs to get over his vanity. Oh, and by the way, I could really care less what idiotic women think about men's fashion.

@@sparklemotion1018 it was a joke... he's saying jimmy is in the "old man" age group now
40 is beyond old man status, by age alone
@@noahhurley-abelew6536 True, but Jimmy is naturally handsome (and he's TV-star rich) so he's going to look better than the average middle-aged man in jeans even if he tried too hard with his shoes. Jerry, otoh, is rich but his looks never won him success; he looks just like my wealthy uncles and all the other rich Jewish dudes I see every day walking around the Upper West Side. Jerry in jeans is much closer to lame than Jimmy.
@@sheepnoisebah And Jimmy took it well, even if it's not exactly true... yet.
Jerry as an older man is still so funny to me
He’s my age but he looks a bit younger. Good for him.
Shame to any older man that retires their jeans!
Dan Seabreeze I love your facial hair
Still, one of my favorite interviews.
"it depends" hahaha Jimmy came back from that interview with the punchline
all jerry ever wears is jeans, sneakers and a shirt and blazer lol
"You can't do 15 mins?"....oh sneaky Jerry, the shade of it all....XD
He is probably annoyed by Jimmy's lack of work ethic. Jimmy seems to take a shot of whatever he's drinking and walk out on stage.
@@yokie52 It seems like manly banter, to me.
"It depends" at the end must be one of the funniest jokes I've heard from Jimmy
I love jerry. His Halloween/ trick or treating stand- up is one of my favorites of all time. 🤣
You get to your first house and it's like
Trick or .... Snap 😂
Young Jerry would absolutely hate old Jerry.
And vice a versa.
Idk. Young Jerry made old Jerry rich.
I think you are both correct but one must realize that young Jerry had to play the game. He had bosses and limitations, etc. Older Jerry no longer plays their game; it’s now his game. He has cut out a niche and he is king in that field. They kiss his ring now. Can anyone argue that he didn’t earn it?
What's the deal with Old Jerry???
Have to agree. Jerry is becoming a bit mean spirited. Too bad.
Every older man shames Jerry Seinfeld for Bee Movie
Bee movie wasn't great, but it wasn't terrible.
I'm 57 and loved the Bee Movie. It was classic Jerry.
Bee movie was awesome
My kids love Bee Movie. It has its hits and misses but I'd watch it over any reality TV show trying to pass off as unscripted/un-directed.
That movie is legendary
“All dads dress in the style of the last good years of their lives”. LMFAO.. right there is why Seinfeld is great.
And god, that statement is SO spot on.... (Source: me)
He's a piece of shit
@@ryandunnlives Get a life. He's brought laughter and entertainment to millions upon millions meanwhile you just hate on successful people over the internet. Who's the piece of shit again?
Jimmy is a success because unlike, say, Jay Leno, he knows when the guests ought to be dominating the interview. You never feel like you’re watching someone play an away game on his show
Jimmy is terrible dude lol
@@ElGaby323 I don't think my statement discounts that truth.
When you realize Jimmy has nothing to say ever and just repeats what his guests say.
That's a pretty good skill in Hollywood! Esp. as a talk show host. He is liked by everyone and nobody has any objection to cooperating with him..
Lol did you not actually watch the interview? He brought up tons of topics to talk about and even got around to Seinfeld's Netflix promotion. Jesus it's almost as if no one watches the show they just want to complain about Jimmy Falon.
So... why are you watching his show?
thewormzerjr you can’t interview Jerry Seinfeld
His "it depends" finisher was pretty good though.
I disagree. I think men in all ages can rock jeans. Depends on the entire outfit. As with, you know....ALL types of clothing.
Exactly
I agree. If you take care of yourself and fit you can rock it at any age. Its the super skinny jeans that can look ridiculous or super baggy dad jeans.
11:46 - "it depends"
This is a genuine moment of comedians - comedy writers - riffing off each other and coming up with a great punchline on-the-fly.
Jerry never gets old....classic humor
Jerry is truly a gift to comedy.
I bet Jimmy’s wife Nancy was pissed with the whole Nicole Kiddman bit 😂
What's that ???

Thanks, DJ
if Jerry ends up being a judge on something I would follow the show to the seconds. The guy is soo straightforward and simple I love it.
I can honestly say that after 15 years of marriage "it depends" is by far the best answer you can give about your wife and your relationship with her
This is one of the funniest interview segments ever.
Turned my day around.
Those two are funny even more so together.
Well, you're half right. Fallon is just silly, not funny.
Great chemistry between these two and a stellar punchline of and ending.
Jerry's story about his mom tying him to the garage door reminded me: My mom tied a rope from the clothesline in the back yard to the back of my overalls, so I couldn't untie it.
So I just took my overalls off and left.
😂😂😂... What kind of fuckery was parenting back then? Lol
That’s hilarious
Jerry knows how to control the flow and tempo of funny.
I used to have a buddy who laughed at everything I said, without fail. He now hosts the Tonight Show.
@@VmQ2020 🤣
The chemistry between these two!!
Lol jerrys right about thanksgiving, it's funny we celebrate it
click my picture Shut up, I had nothing to do with what happened back then, I can celebrate it
You men can look cool in jeans as older gentlemen! BAM.
I think I agree
If they have the body for them it doesn’t matter what age they are. The problem is most men never change the size they wear their entire lives and just let their growing bellies hang over. Yuck! (My husband included but he doesn’t listen to me!)
Levi 514...
@@trippieblue9377 ooo the 514's look good too! APPROVED lol
Jerry Seinfeld is slowly morphing into Gilbert Gottfried.
ugh now i can't unsee it lol
@@dd-vm1hslol somewhat akin to superman conversing with bizarro, I suppose.
I was thinking John Travolta
not even close........GG was just plain annoying....I guess many find JS annoying too..lol... Jerry has a style/ a certain way about himself........like him or not............hes made a huge impact on comedy in the last 20 yrs....huuuuuuge...........
Lmao fr
Jerry can bring out the real Jimmy.
Is it me, or does he sound like Barry from the bee movie
I can’t even bro why you ask that?
He is Barry the 🐝. Search for the cast of the movie.
That's because he voices him
That's a stinging remark.
idk...but what I do know is I am questioning whether or not I like *jazz*
lol But, my Dad Is 74, A Cowboy And Looks Great In His Jeans.
Yeah im not sure he considered the cowboys and hard working older men that rely on jeans to get it done.
I work pants or jeans. I think I have one pair of dress pants somewhere. ......maybe.
Stephen Jarnagin ok
TD Riehm .it depends if they have a bum or not.
jerry is slowly turning into matt lauer
Without the sexual harassment allegations.
Wow!! You are so correct! I completely didn’t realize that until just now!
No!
Minus the rape
Todd Garver he was raped?
Just watching them just chatting is better than many other stand ups already. Big laughs
Its like watch a person talk to his crush
so many haters. Jerry is hilarious!!
only for geeks
you know what was great about the tonight show? johnny carson
Jack Parr had the best late night ever.
Jay Leno was way better than Carson, but I'd take Carson over Fallon...maybe.
Fo dos, True, so then what are you doing here?? Get lost, there are JC videoes on YT.
Ahhh, weird, wild, wacky stuff...
agreed the falseness of Fallon
"All Dad's dress in the style of the last good year of their lives" & "It depends." *comedygold 😂🤣
