@@m8s4lif Thanks. Yes it's a win win. I've slowed down quite a bit with craft shows. But it is a great and fun way to make extra cash. My favorite part is seeing the customers enjoy the projects I sell. I could do craft shows here almost everyday if I wanted. So if I ever need extra cash I just book a craft show. I can usually count on at least a couple hundred bucks from a show.
@@lenshandcraftedwoodsigns6033 That's great! You need to let it dry. Cherry wood cracks really easy. If you cut up make sure you seal it right away to minimize cracking. I've cut green cherry would and it would crack within a few hours. So I suggest you cut and seal right away. I love cherry.
@@DougMilleratWoodSpunRound Thanks Doug! I wasn't planning to do that but I would have lost some of the edge that was a feature if I tried to straighten it.
Dude...don't reach over the lathe to turn it on/off....especially with a loose fitting shirt. The piece is very attractive but you could be much safer when creating it. You may not have gotten hurt so far, but that doesn't mean you never will. Please be safe.
Thats pretty slick
Thank you!
Thank you for answering my question. I'll try your mixture.
I hope it works out for you.
Rus that's beautiful grain, and to think it came from an overlooked piece of fire wood.! Love the off set look thanks for the video...Dan
Thank you Dan! I love turning nothing into something. Thanks for watching!
I like that little vase. Thank you for sharing 🌞
@@raydriver7300 Thanks for watching Ray.
Came out looking really nice. It's great to be able to do something that you enjoy, and then make some money doing it too.

@@_zhawkeye_9808 Thank you Matt! Cherry wood rarely disappoints.
I just had 2 cherry trees fall, so hoping I can make some that look this good.

What do these usually go for?
I sell them for $10 each.
I assume this is green wood. Do you have a problem of cracking or splitting as the piece dries after being sold?
@@applevalleyguy404 No this was extremely dry. There were a couple places on the verge of being punky.
Thank you.
