@@DavidAdamsen This is the very first time I have ever seen your work David ! 👌🏻 Incredible! Such a nice looking piece in every regard, immaculate job on that ! It looks stunning 😮 I will definitely check out your channel to see more 😊.
What a marvel! This is everything I love about woodturning videos: as much wood preserved as possible, and the resort to resin only when inevitable to make it even more beautiful. I was overjoyed to see that a new David Adamsen video had dropped, and I sure am not disappointed!
I didn't know that "Cherry trees" were subject to "burling." How stunning is this magnificent vessel you have born out of the burl. I adore wood grains and delight in the finish of your creation. Thank you so very much! 😍✨️💖
Always a great day when another David Adamsen video drops. I'm not usually a fan of the epoxy final finish but, as usual, you've done it right and sanded it to perfection. It's the attention to all the little details that makes your videos so amazing. Thanks!
You said this was your most expensive piece ? What are we talking here ? Monetarily or workmanship ? Cause your artistry is beyond mention . Thank you for such a good viewing
Were you able to sell it for what you wanted or did you have to come down on your price? It is a very beautiful piece and I just out of curiosity am dying to know what you were asking for it???
Simply great! Words cannot describe the beauty of that beautiful work, it looks like an ancient Greek amphora, it simply looks great. You can sell it for a huge amount of money or you can keep it for your self, as one of the best works of yourself that you can be proud of.
FB randomly showed me one of your videos, and I was instantly mesmerized by your technique. Your glowing vases belong in a museum. If they look this stunning in a video, I can only imagine their beauty in person. What a gift you have!
I think I just watched my first Masterpiece be created and I'm only 61! Stunning craftsmanship and a finish that left me speechless. Wish I could see it in person.
That is simply CRAZY! His ability to “see” what was hiding in that piece of raw wood and his ability to “ set it free…” truly a Gift from God! Thank you sir
Have a huge 100+ year old almost perfectly round burl on a tree stump. I now see it in a different light!. Absolutely beautiful work. Thank You from Sturgis, SD
I have no idea what this costs, but it's one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen in my entire life. I know I can't afford it but seeing made makes me feel like I own some piece of it.
To say this is a piece of art would be an understatement. I was mesmerized watching the video. You have taken a discard from nature and given it life. Hats off!
What a beautiful work of art! I have never been brought to tears over such a fine piece worked with such care and attention to every detail. Every striation, knot and hue of the wood is bathed in a beautiful light. Whatever this costs is irrelevant. It's a piece for the ages. Museum worthy!
David, I was absolutely transfixed by the meticulous process. I thought it was gorgeous in its natural state at the very beginning of the video, but when it was finished it was just stunning and the most beautiful thing of its kind that I’ve ever seen. Bravo!
OUTSTANDING, David!!!! I still miss your intros of beautiful scenery that you once put into your videos. That gave a lot of class to your great wood turning videos. I hope you and your bride are doing well these days!!!!
Thanks John! Yeah I kinda miss those intros too, but they were much more work than I can justify for the result tbh… Cheers from my growing family to yours!
Don’t know if your question was answered, but in the notes it tells the story (where is says…more). It was commissioned for $6k and took him 60 hours of work over a two month period. Most of the time was spent on sanding and ultimately the final finish! Been watching David since he started this channel and what a great wood turner he is!
That is undoubtedly the best wood-turning video I've seen (and I've seen a lot). I particularly appreciate the fact that it is properly edited with a minimum use of sped-up sections, which I always regard as unprofessional and an all-too-common aspect of UA-cam content. For me it is best left out altogether, but top marks for the editing... As for the piece itself - what a beauty! ❤ PS. I appreciated the slowed down bits even more!
Thanks for sharing David. Not impressed by many though very impressed by your work. You attention to detail and love for your craft are evident in your work. Another wood artist that truly recognizes you. C Gardner
😁 This "Desert Landscape Vase" reminds me of the images seen from the International Space Station. I haven't done any real wood turning work since the early 1970's, but the soothing sound of tool on wood reminds me of the tranquility enjoyed while smelling the aroma of the wood. There was another UA-cam woodturner I used to watch; then he started "talking" through the video. That ruined the relaxation of watching the emerging of the finished product. I feel so at ease after these videos because it reminds me of the harmony of artistic creativity. Thank you!
I admire the turning of wood by master woodturners and you are one of them. Watching All the steps from Start to Finish is just Awesome! Thank you for sharing, David.
