Have a huge 100+ year old almost perfectly round burl on a tree stump. I now see it in a different light!. Absolutely beautiful work. Thank You from Sturgis, SD
Always a great day when another David Adamsen video drops. I'm not usually a fan of the epoxy final finish but, as usual, you've done it right and sanded it to perfection. It's the attention to all the little details that makes your videos so amazing. Thanks!
Simply great! Words cannot describe the beauty of that beautiful work, it looks like an ancient Greek amphora, it simply looks great. You can sell it for a huge amount of money or you can keep it for your self, as one of the best works of yourself that you can be proud of.
When I look at that gnarly ancient piece of wood and think of the immense life it carried over the decades…the burls, the lichens, the “insurgents”…the sheer amount of DNA that has swirled through its system…wow ! The finished piece is sheer magnificence . A galaxy of growth….
Wow. Your craftsmanship is amazing. Such care a patients. I think you got paid far less than this deserves. Beautiful work with the help of the Father and his artistry in nature!
To say this is a piece of art would be an understatement. I was mesmerized watching the video. You have taken a discard from nature and given it life. Hats off!
That is undoubtedly the best wood-turning video I've seen (and I've seen a lot). I particularly appreciate the fact that it is properly edited with a minimum use of sped-up sections, which I always regard as unprofessional and an all-too-common aspect of UA-cam content. For me it is best left out altogether, but top marks for the editing... As for the piece itself - what a beauty! ❤ PS. I appreciated the slowed down bits even more!
😁 This "Desert Landscape Vase" reminds me of the images seen from the International Space Station. I haven't done any real wood turning work since the early 1970's, but the soothing sound of tool on wood reminds me of the tranquility enjoyed while smelling the aroma of the wood. There was another UA-cam woodturner I used to watch; then he started "talking" through the video. That ruined the relaxation of watching the emerging of the finished product. I feel so at ease after these videos because it reminds me of the harmony of artistic creativity. Thank you!
