Oh I forgot to mention “thank you for mentioning Veterans Day”. I’m a 10 Point Vet and I really appreciate people for thinking and remembering all the sacrifices our men and women veterans have done. Again Thank You! Designer epoxy. 😊
Thank you for your service!!!
Thank you for your service!
I’m assuming that was Vietnam? We don’t have the point system in Canada. We might of had it in Korea but not anymore. Thanks for your service!
Designer Epoxy
🫡 salute
I love the look. I’d like to see this done with an intentionally cracked or smashed bowl rather than cut. I do love how you still matched up all of the grain.
Keep watching! Thanks
Rainbow blue is probably my favorite color, love it. Props to your wife for the idea, turned out great. You will definitely need to do more like this in the future.
She did! That's the plan! Thanks 😊
Jim, the shattered look of this bowl is stunning. The blue is really vibrant and electrifying.
Thank you very much!
Looks great! I look forward to you making another one and mixing it up with multiple wood types. It was a great idea Mrs. Sprague 🤩
Yes it was, thanks!
Kudos to your wife for the inspiration. Another in an ever growing inventory of beautiful art pieces. Thanks again for your, (and all various service members), past and present service and sacrifice.
Thank you very much!
Jim tell your wife she had a great idea. The bowl looks great and you should do more like that. I’m so glad you are able to use your creative side now because you make really beautiful pieces. 😊❤
I really love that your precious wife gave you a great idea for the less than perfect pieces! Less waste, more creative action 😊 Excellent all the way around 😊
Thank you very much!
I absolutely love the randomness of this piece the rainbow blue is one of my favorite colors. I would also like to thank you for your service in our countries military, my father was also a long serving member of the Canadian armed forces, so bless you for your service
Thank you very much!
Really like how this one turned out. Mixing different woods in a set of these in the future would be a cool project!
Thank you very much!
That bowl is awesome!
Thank you for your service Jim and all others who have served. Your sacrifices are greatly appreciated.
Thank you kindly!
Designer epoxy. Another great bowl and another week learning a new technique.
Thank you! Cheers!
I love the contrast of the blue shattered imperfections next to the visible continuing perfections of the original woodgrain
Thank you very much!
This teminded me instantly of Kintsugi. And I imagined a version in black walnut with gold pearl resin when you were in the drying shed. Or a versuon of black walnut and cherry with copper pear resin. Thank you for sharing your rooms and plans. May they all turn out as you imagine and wish for.
Thank you very much!
Many thanks to your wife for this week project. Very beautiful bowl. Also, thanks to all of the veterans. ❤
My pleasure! Thanks for watching!
Do one with random pieces of wood species. And gift it to your fave sis in law….btw your wife is smart and you should always listen to her. Love it and you!!
New phone, who dis? Haha.
@@SpragueWoodturning…lol…
Jim, What a cool idea. Your wife certainly has an eye for design. I love the Designer Epoxy Rainbow Blue, such vibrant color. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you! Cheers!
Just goes to show that anything broken can be beautiful again. You did a great job. Can't wait to see the mixed piece you plan for the future.
Pretty nifty! Looks like a spider web!🕷️🕸️ Thanks Jim and thanks to all our veterans!
Designer Epoxy
Thank you so much!
Its so soothing to watch wood turning and other art type projects. Almost as nice as petting a sweet furry 😊
Thank you so much 😀
You need to let your wife make more suggestions!
You did an excellent job working that puzzle! This GOREGOUS blue is a perfect contrast for the cherry. I think different types of wood may give it a tiffany glass feel.
I can see the pearlescence all over that blue, I call it flash in my gemstones and this is definitely flashy!
This is my new favorite work of art, however... I do still love your inlay bowls, well, and pretty much everything else you do! Thanks for sharing your work!
😂Thanks very much!
I love this bowl and to my eye it's the randomness of the pieces that makes it look so good. Also gotta love that beautiful blue. Please tell the Mrs. she have great idea.
I totally agree! Thanks
Please keep showing the finished product in the thumbnails. I like to see what your starting out with, knowing what it will become, then going on the journey to see the metamorphosis!
You got it! Thanks
I actually prefer not seeing the finished project in the thumbnail because I like surprises and it feels like reading the last page of a book first. However, that said, the thumbnail does make it easier to find the video if I get interrupted and have to come back later to finish watching. I am also probably in a little bitty minority, so it's nothing I would ever have a genuine complaint about. There are much bigger and more important things on my plate to care about than a video thumbnail! I will watch Jim's videos with a project photo, a blank thumbnail, a picture of a goat, or a boat...I will watch them here or there, I will watch them anywhere! 😂
@@kimberlynelson6599 now I would really like to see a resin goat🤣😂🤣
Absolutely love! I'm loving the randomness of the pieces, like the chaos of life. Straight lined precision just doesn't do it for me. This one's 💯 perfect! The Rainbow Blue from Designer Epoxy is a gorgeous shade, right up there with the Sapphire Blue. We Will Remember 🫡
Thank you very much!
When mrs Jim has an idea she has good ones! From the thumbnail I wasn’t too sure but I do like it!
Thank you very much!
If anyone can move a well established wood shop it's you. Your experiences with deployment logistics is shining through.
Nice to see a bowl cooperate and turn so well for you, Jim. The end result is beautiful.
Thinking of you tomorrow at 11/11.
Thank you very much!
Hi Jim, Thank you for the announcement! Just to clarify, we are located in Florida and can ship through-out the US. 💚💜
Got it, good luck, happy sales!
Love the fractured look, cherry with the blue turned out gorgeous. Thanks for sharing your process with your move. A lot to wrap your head around before time comes to go. I will be looking forward to seeing your new place and how that gets set up.
Me too, lol. Thanks
So good to chat with all the awesome people here. You know who you are! See you next Friday! ❤
Thank you very much! See you next week!
Nice to see a collaboration with you wife! Also the contrast is very nice.
Designer Epoxy
Thank you very much!
As always, what a wonderful end result. Listening to the wife is a great idea! I would love to see the mix of woods. I am intrigued about the color for next week. Good luck! Love the support from Designer Epoxy., lol. Also, a big shout out and thank you to all the brave men and women who served and are still serving and their families who support them.
Thank you very much!
Jim, this piece is just stunning! I love the colour and the contrast, but most of all, I love the fact that it is unusual. Thanks for another great video.
Glad you like it! Thanks
Reminds me of a spiders web. Lovely bowl. Wear your poppy with pride, red for humans and purple for animals in war who served and gave everything.
Thanks so much!
Great bowl. Your wife had a great idea. When you make your move to the new digs I will come up from Reno NV and take care of your drying shed. Can't say it will make the trip to your house but it would make it to mine. Thanks again for sharing your talents with us. Have a great Veteran's day. Thank for your service.
Lol. Thank you very much!
Amazing, it looks great the contrast of resin and wood is perfect. Great job as always. ❤️
Thank you very much!
Looks fabulous, I can't wait to watch how you created it...❤❤❤❤ your work
Thanks so much 😊
(Designer epoxy) loving what you do so much, you are such a great teacher.
Thank you!
"Expanded view"...this is FANTASTIC!!!
Thank you very much!
What a cool idea. Beautiful results. Hopefully, you will do a few more of these.
More to come! Thanks
My brain is going crazy with all the possibilities the deconstructed bowl offers. Your wife had a great suggestion! ❤
Thanks so much!
Really digging this concept and can't wait to see where your creativity takes you next. Kudos to the Mrs. for this great idea.
Thanks so much!
Amazing project - would be really cool to combine different woods.
Thank you for your service and remembering with love and gratitude all those who have served their countries with honour.
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them
Thank you very much! I really appreciate it!
Awesome bowl. Your wife had a great idea. Designer Epoxy Happy Veterans Day(Remembrance Day) to all fellow vets!
Thank you very much!
I would 1st like to Thanks all of the Veterans who read this message. It’s so admirable of you for making such a selfless & life change experience for you to take on. God bless each & everyone of you from the bottom of my heart.🙏💞🇺🇸
Jim, i want to say Kudos to your wife for coming up with the idea. You also deserve a Kudos. For coming up with the blue epoxy color to go with the cherry wood bowl. Y’all made an awesome collaboration. I love the way the bowl came out. I agree that making a bowl using different types of wood would also be amazing. I also think it would be a challenging for someone to take on. Have an awesome weekend. 🙏🇺🇸💞
Thank you so much, I really appreciate it!
I really like cherry wood. The blue is perfect with the wood
Agreed! Thanks
It should have been your Halloween theme bowl. Looks like a spider web. Love it.
Totally, thanks
Thank you for your service, Jim. Your creation is amazing and more importantly, your lovely bride is a keeper! Smart lady! ❤️
After 33 years I guess I’ll keep her, lol. Thanks

designer epoxy
Much appreciated! Thanks
Jim that bowl tuned out spectacular the cherry and the blue really complemented each other, your idea of mixing is a smashing idea as well. Thanks for mentioning Remembrance and veterans.
Glad you enjoyed it. My pleasure!
Shout out to Mrs. Sprague! Great idea turned out lovely. Love when up recycling works out!
Thank you very much!
The wife had great inspiration. Thanks to her the exploded bowl is exceptional. May you have a pleasant and peaceful Remembrance Day (Veterans Day in the States). Heartfelt and deepest gratitude to all that serve and sacrifice.
Thank you kindly!
One of the coolest bowls I’ve ever seen.
Thank you very much!
My jaw dropped when I saw the wood shed ! Seriously impressed!!
Thank you so much!
I love your honesty about what you’re not happy making. You and your wife have a nice artistic relationship. Beautiful bowl.
Thank you very much!
You wife had a great idea. Another beauty. It looks like cobblestone. Another GEM, Jim.
Thank you very much!
Happy Veterans Day tomorrow Jim and thanks for your service!! ...........Larry
Thank you very much Larry! My pleasure!
Blue epoxy and cherry wood go together like pockets on a shirt!
Beautiful result!!!
Lol. Thank you very much!

Thanks, same to you!
You may not like puzzles, but this is a beautiful piece!!

These are the best of times! Coffee and a video from Jim. 😊
Glad you like them! Thanks
This turned out amazing! Love the two colors together.
Thank you to the vets and present service members ❤

Looks great Jim. Another cleaver use of designer epoxy.
Thanks 👍

Thanks 👍
Thank you to all of our veterans, its an unbelievable sacrifice to ensure the safety and prosperity of western civilization.

From one old Veteran to another, Happy Remembrance Day Jim. That bowl looks incredible top lit.
Same to you! Thanks!
Fractured Queen 👸
She is. Thank you very much!
I love this piece! Thanks for showing us your dry room and new shed. Nice 👍🏽 and good luck on you and your wife’s moving adventure! Love 💕 your channel 🫡🇺🇸
Thanks so much!
Looks great. The wife had a great idea.
Designer Epoxy.
I think so too!
I think that is called an "exploded" view. Great video!
Not the term I’m looking for. Thanks
Call it a practice bowl. It is pretty and interesting. The blue against the natural wood color is great. Your plan for the next bowl will be fun to see how it goes. Your videos are never boring.😊🎉
Cool, thanks
Love this one. I can't believe no-one liked the polka dot bowl.
Lots did, lol. Thank you very much!
This is my life atm shattered but not broken… perfect mental health bowl 🇦🇺🇦🇺🙏🏻🙏🏻🥰🥰
Thanks
Simple concept but it turned out really great! Different types of wood for a future project would be fun to see as well. Thank you for sharing your work, watching your creations come to fruition is the best part of my Fridays 😊
Thank you very much!
A couple more additions to the line of maybe-one day Sprague Merchandise!! "Heirlooms Are Us" and "I'd Rather be Turning than Cleaning!" I really like how this piece turned out - the irregular spacing and shapes are really exciting. Making Art with Jim Sprague! Thank you, Jim!!
These are great. Thanks!
Love the design. Big applause to your wife for this recommendation. Designer Epoxy is awesome and especially the blue color.
Thank you! Cheers!
Hats off to the wife! I enjoy watching you bring the natural and resin together. Especially last week where you added a third element (copper)! Thank You for Your Service!
Thanks so much!
Your wife had a great idea, and you executed it wonderfully! Reminds me of a spiderweb from a distance. Looking forward to next week's video!
Thank you very much!
This is really nice. I love that blue. Yes beautiful. Walnut and cherry will be really cool. Your wife had an excellent idea.
I think so too! Thanks
You should put up a tent around your lathe to keep all of the epoxy and wood shavings from getting all over Your workshop. You could use mosquito netting so you would be able to have enough light to turn and all you have to do is shake it out. Rig it up like a shower enclosure.
Very pretty project! It would look nice in the orange tones with the pearl as well.
It’s pretty hard to do this and film. It only has about a 20 foot radius, lol. Thanks
I wasn't sure I was going to like this, not really into modern/abstract things, but I ended up really liking it. I love that blue, for one thing, a beautiful royal blue, and of course you can't beat cherry wood. It really turned out nice! Tell your wife that I think she had a great idea! Thank you, Jim, I really enjoy watching you turn while sipping my morning coffee on Fridays!❣
Thank you very much!
OMG... your shelf inventory just blew me away
Ha ha! Gotta keep up inventory for more videos! Thanks
Gorgeous bowl Jim! Just another example of how you can use a sub-par bowl blank, thanks to Designer Epoxy. Your wife has great taste. Well done!
Thanks 👍
I really like this bowl. It reminds me of an Egyptian style. So pretty in the light.
Thank you very much!
This is a really cool concept. I could even see this with mixed-up colors or just random pieces of bowl put together (with less even spacing, more places for weird random colors to show up). Oh, wait, that's at least part of what you're thinking! :D
Thank you very much!
I prefer that powdered pigment! And, I love that blue!
Me too!! Thanks 😊
Glad that Dwayne came to help stop the floating 🤣 Another beautiful bowl. Love the 💙 blue
Ha ha! Thanks so much!
I think it is really cool. Multiple wood would be interesting and a challenge!
Thank you very much!
I love this bowl Jim. The color with the cherry wood is perfect. As always, the workmanship is outstanding. I also appreciated the tour of your drying shed.. from one veteran to another, thank you for your service and to your wife and family for their support and sacrifice.
Thanks so much!
Omg what an amazing piece!!!!! Please do more like this Jim. Your idea of 2 different woods is awsome. The Designer Epoxy Art Cast was perfect. Thank you for the amazing video
Thank you very much!
Very cool piece Jim. Gorgeous blue with the cherry wood contrasts wonderfully❣💙💛👏👏
Thank you kindly
Now that is different. Turned out great. The Rainbow Blue really compliments the cherry. Your wife had a great idea 👍. Thanks for showing us your drying shed. Very impressive Jim.
Thank you! Cheers!
I like the contrast between the warmth of the wood and the resin color.
Thanks very much!
Very cool! I'm super interested in seeing how you've laid your space out. It would be awesome to get a walkthrough of your old space and then do a side-by-side with your new space when you're moved in.
Not much has changed since my shop video here in my current location. Still really need to to lay the new shop out in my head yet, lol. Thanks for the idea, when it thin comes I plan on filming the whole move in process.
Absolutely beautiful! It's one of my favorites! Thank your wife, and thank you for your video.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks
I love that bowl , it’s gorgeous ❤
Thank you very much!
Wonderful bowl. Great idea and great craftsmanship, as always. Shout out to your wife for the great idea.
Thank you! Cheers!
