Jim, i want to say Kudos to your wife for coming up with the idea. You also deserve a Kudos. For coming up with the blue epoxy color to go with the cherry wood bowl. Y’all made an awesome collaboration. I love the way the bowl came out. I agree that making a bowl using different types of wood would also be amazing. I also think it would be a challenging for someone to take on. Have an awesome weekend. 🙏🇺🇸💞

You did an excellent job working that puzzle! This GOREGOUS blue is a perfect contrast for the cherry. I think different types of wood may give it a tiffany glass feel.
I can see the pearlescence all over that blue, I call it flash in my gemstones and this is definitely flashy!

I actually prefer not seeing the finished project in the thumbnail because I like surprises and it feels like reading the last page of a book first. However, that said, the thumbnail does make it easier to find the video if I get interrupted and have to come back later to finish watching. I am also probably in a little bitty minority, so it's nothing I would ever have a genuine complaint about. There are much bigger and more important things on my plate to care about than a video thumbnail! I will watch Jim's videos with a project photo, a blank thumbnail, a picture of a goat, or a boat...I will watch them here or there, I will watch them anywhere! 😂

You should put up a tent around your lathe to keep all of the epoxy and wood shavings from getting all over Your workshop. You could use mosquito netting so you would be able to have enough light to turn and all you have to do is shake it out. Rig it up like a shower enclosure.
Very pretty project! It would look nice in the orange tones with the pearl as well.

Beautiful. Really like the idea of a set using different woods and colors. A walnut, cherry, maple set would be really cool. Maybe bowl 4, 5, and 6 could have the woods mixed. I’m liking where this is going. Great job Jim.

I really like this bowl as well as the concept as a whole. A mixed wood bowl set would be cool with the Designer Epoxy glueing everything together.

When I used to make Excel charts professionally, if we made an exploded chart it was just called an exploded chart. Exploded model, exploded bowl-I think that’s just what things like that are called.
I love this. I love the wood, the resin color, and the contrast between them.

This turned out so cool! I could totally see a set of them with a different color of resin for each one. Thanks for a fun vid!

No wonder you married her, she’s a genius 🥰🥰 I love this bowl, definitely do this theme again! I’d love to see more angles in the pieces so there’s no flat sides except at the top edge. 🎉🎉

Loving the Rainbow Blue 😍 - also like how the grain lines up. I think it would look very striking with a darker wood and a lighter color - mother of pearl? - for contrast. I like your idea of different woods as well. Cool concept!

Beautiful piece. Great realignment of the cut pieces so the grain is continuous. I would also consider rounding the edges of the wood fragments to make a softer, more organic look--almost a different concept, but would look cool, I think.
