Yes, but not only that. He also did an incredible job on glueing the cube to create this wonderful pattern matching the geometry of the bowl. I am blown away
Majestic, extraordinary, spectacular, and gorgeous. NO adjective is enough to describe the beauty of this bowl. Sir, you are a master in every respect!!!!
This is the most stunning piece of wood art I have ever seen. Very nice job, thank you for sharing the process publicly so we can see how much work goes into this as well. Truly beautiful..
Kris, for someone who claims to be "not a professional wood turner", that bowl is a work of Freaking Art! You must have nerves of tungsten to turn that bowl! Kudos to you Sir as well for always wearing proper safety gear for everything, that sets a very good example to any viewers and obviously ensures your own safety. The best way I have heard it described is "you only have 1 pair of eyes, lungs and ears and you need all 3 pairs, so you need to protect them". Thanks for sharing! 🙂😎😎😎😎❤
Absolutely agree. Sadly, though many do go to the trouble of protecting their eyes, when it comes to their hearing it's another matter. I cringe at the manner in which I see people go about work that will slowly chip away at their hearing but pay it no mind, simply because it's not something that hits them significantly or overnight. Ten or fifteen years later they're struggling to pick up conversations in busy restaurants, losing the dialogue against the background noise, and wondering why. I say all that as someone who has lost a significant amount of my hearing, though that was from many years of working at the industrial level in the mining industry, and despite the fact I used to take all the necessary measures to protect my hearing.
You are a Master! One of the most beautiful wood turned bowls I have ever seen. Your process in putting the wood together is amazing. Your patience is remarkable!
55 hours to make and 100s and 100s of hours honing your skills, not to mention the whole "vision" thing. Knowing where to put in the major breaks in the laminates so you'd get that stunning visual inside of the bowl. Truly exceptional
After viewing all the expensive equipment, professional materials down to the rolls of wax paper and massive man hrs, I am so pleased that you are able to make some of your earnings from UA-cam! That is a really nice piece of art Kris. Thank you for bringing it to our world. I hope your adventure of an employer and master teacher turn out well for you and your lovely family.
you have inspired a 70 year old man! i have loved working with wood all my life. i made a tri colored bowl for my mother in woodshop on a lathe when i was 14, she absolutely loved it!
this video just randomly started playing after i finished watching random DIY table video. and i can say this. this is the first time i ever watched a video from start to finish without skipping
just beautiful! This type of items do not make money for the maker now days! But the satisfaction it gives for the craftsman is way more than the monetary gain. Hats off to you sir!
Your glue up was fantastic. You took the time to line everything up, and that's why it came out so well (this is a jab at all the other wood tueners that don't take the time to do this). You did a really good job, you should be proud. Also, I love how you went back and fixed that blowout on the corner. Wonderful attention to detail.
I was gonna gripe about the one part of the project I didn't like. But then I realized it's absolutely smothered by how amazing the rest of the project is. Pretty spectacular
Wow! So beautifully made! Not just the different woods put together for such beautiful colors but the knowledge and skill you have as a wood artist. I love the colors and I didn’t know you could do this with wood. Making a blank with so many different kinds that product these beautiful colors. I’m amazed and fascinated with the process you do here. Thank you for sharing !
WOW, you did a great job on the turning, don’t sell yourself short, you have a natural talent. How you came up with the vision for what the final piece would look like is mind blowing to me. Our son lives in Eagle River and I would very much like to visit your shop when we visit. Your shop is incredible and I’m sure everyone that watches your videos is jealous.
Couldn't help it, had to go straight to the final product, spectacular work. You are so talented. Now I'm going back to watch the whole process from the beginning .
WOW‼️ At first I was a bit skeptical about how this was going to turn out but the end result was amazing. You really nailed it. Thanks for posting this. Can’t wait to see more 👍✌️☮️
I've been a custom woodworker for 30 years and I've got to say, I finally learned something I didn't already know from this vid. not going to say what that is but I will say this... THANK YOU!!!! and keep doing what you do!
That is amazing! I was thinking the whole time, that this is well edited, you didnt linger on things too long and sped things up when it should be (imo) but also captured just how much time it took. Having that thing whirling around was scary to watch, that is so much kinetic energy! I cannot afford such things, so I cannot thank you in money, but I do appreciate you sharing this with me(us). So awesome to witness.
I can't tell how much I'm enjoying watching your journey. From a hobbiest, to a maker and now craftsman. Thank you for letting us watch, best wishes and further success. G.
Couldn’t agree more! I really enjoyed the making of this masterpiece. I sure believe it took loads of time, but you can be proud on that result, just stunning!
Man, the comment for these projects. As a turner I completely understand, and one day hope to get to your level of expertise!!! Love the videos!!! Keep them coming!!
This is an amazing piece. As of today, 2/9/24, you have almost 450k views, so you surpassed your 400k goal in only a month. I hope you get what you're asking for with this bowl. It's beautiful!
Much appreciated @BrentDnD ! Its "turned" out to be my best video in a year which is really going to help right now. Both bowls have sold for my asking price. Feeling very blessed. Cheers
My daughter is 11. She isnt feeling well and this video helped her rest and sleep for a bit. She warched the rest when she woke up and fhinks what to made is really pretty.
Just the fact that you could come up with a plan to make this is mind-boggling. and then coupled with the fact that it turned out so brilliantly...well, that's just magic, isn't it? I hope you got about 10 million dollars for it.
You may not be a professional woodturner, but I'll say you are damn close! I've turned a few of those 3 sided bowls of different sizes and it's not an easy task. A very beautiful piece! Your perseverance is amazing! Take care, Dave
Wow, so cool to watch. Half the tools used I never even knew existed. Beautifully filmed and edited. Fun to watch. Dedication to craft obvious. Thank you.
Been an observer since you started recording. Your work has always been amazing, but now you’ve stepped it up. Your vision, building, sculpting (turning) are fantastic. You’ve moved well beyond craftsman to artist. Well done! (BTW, sponsorship is fine. We understand that it helps to defray your costs. That’s the deal on UA-cam)
You are a couragous fellow, if that had exploded I suspect it could have taken off a limb or even your head. I don't know what kind of suit of armour you'd need to be completely safe. Please be careful. So impressive! Well done. I'm sharing this video with an expert turner here who only uses non electrical devices for turning out bowls, cups etc and forges his own tools, he also could be your double in looks. Blessings of safety & joy from the Tipperary Mtns! ☘ 💖🙏💫
It definitely wouldn't be fun to have that come apart. My friend wears a hockey helmet. Let me know what your buddy thinks. That sounds like a lot of work! Thank you @byjamie-hillierrubis5572!
If you are not a professional then I simply cannot imagine what the skills would look like from someone who is. Absolutely incredible, beautiful, and amazing.
Now that takes serious dedication and patience 😮 Even with all that machinery it was very time consuming I can tell - but the outcome is absolutely stunning - and yes you look like a professional to me , thanks for sharing 😊
I can't imagine what you'd be like if you were a professional woodturner. Man this looked complex and required a lot of head scratching. In the end the result is absolutely beautiful. Great video.
a thing of great beauty people sometime don't realize the amount of work to create something like this. thank you for your video the beauty of this bowl did bring joy the colour shape and everything about it you may see yourself as just a beginner if so I have to imagine your craft after a few years. good job c.noel vancouver canada
Good morning 🌅, excellent work, Time and patience were worth the effort, And impressed with your safety aspect, As there is a lot of people on UA-cam machining wood up without respect of any safety whatsoever, keep up the great work, and I’ll wish you all the success for the future, From France,
I just watched the Hobby Turned Business Overnight video and then came to this video... this is a much bigger place than your garage :D Happy to see you appear to be thriving.
Beautiful, amazing, a masterpiece, work of art done by an expert craftsman So many words to describe this woodwork you have created By far one of the best woodworks on the internet Thank you for putting in all the effort in recording this project and showing the world what an amazing piece you've made
It is quite satisfying to watch an artist at work. Sir, you are a true artist. The bowl is gorgeous! Watching you make it makes it that much more gorgeous than a similar store bought item.
This guy's woodowrking tools are at another level.
Makes home a little warmer when you see things like this
For someone who is "not a professional wood turner" you have made some absolutely stunning and beautiful art!
Appreciate the kind words, thank you @gregorythomas333!

Looks pretty professional to me, and given that he sold it, isn't that the definition?
Yes, but not only that. He also did an incredible job on glueing the cube to create this wonderful pattern matching the geometry of the bowl. I am blown away
No wonder these things are so expensive. So much work is put into making just one of them. It's beautiful.
This is the type of art that makes you watch and appreciate the process to the last bit. Well done sir, absolutely beautiful!
Gosh, what a showpiece! I’d get a pedestal and put that right on top with a light on it. Absolutely gorgeous! Well done! 👍
This is a gorgeous bowl! Had I the financial resources, every bowl I own would be wood!
For someone who's not a professional woodturner, your skill and attention to detail and safety says otherwise.

Much appreciated @blunderbuss9927! Definitely was a new challenge for me.

Such an inorganic form is a prison for the beautiful wood.
