Fantastic tutorial video! Very well spoken and effective, because, I am a beginner in the music world and with using Sonar, and you spoke slowly and "down to earth" so to speak without getting over technical. Great job and thank you very much for your video.
Nice tutorial! I'm having a little trouble with making separate midi clips. After I'm done making a midi clip, I then want to make a new one on the same track but I can't. I can only duplicate the same one and it is still linked to the original. I was using Ableton Live 9 before Sonar x2. Is there a was to make separate midi clips on the same track without having it linked all together?
Thanks for this awesome video. I have a problem now, I have re-installed sonar x2 because I was getting a bunch of random issues with it, and now after loading up one my old projects the midi keyboard tracks are missing there effects, the effects themselves I have within the plugin, but is there a way to re-link the midi tracks in sonar to the plugin directly instead of making a new soft-synth track and dragging and dropping the midi notes onto a new soft-synth midi track.
good tutorial, thank you for take the time to do the video, I got a question, when I record midi , the sound start to distort, not at the begining, little bit after, and I need to close the proyect in order to loose the distortion, there is something strange, if I keep recording ignoring the distortion when I play back the sound is ok, HELP PLEASE
Wow great video. This is what I was looking for. Ok, I have Sonar X1 LE it came with the Yamaha KX61 controller. I did all the steps you said and it was pretty easy. Analog Factory synth came up in the plug in Manager, but when I tried to open it via insert It wouldn't open. Does Sonar X1 LE allow VST's inside of it? I know it limited but is that one of the limits? t

@ampecsu are you sure that you have the MIDI keyboard set to sent its output to your instrument track?

Having a problem where everything looks right but the sound from the soft synth does not get recorded. Any advice?
