- This Master Class explores writing, arranging, and mixing drums in SONAR. Spotlighted are production techniques and workflow using Session Drummer 3, Step Sequencer 2.0, and PX-64 Percussion Strip.
Part four of this five part series focuses on mixing the Kick and Snare with PX-64 Percussion Strip and Sonitus EQ.
I'm finding this video series to be really helpful! I'm in residential recording with my band next month I'm looking forward to using PX-64 with a real kit then! Keep 'em coming! I'd like to see a similar series on vocal production, bass mixing, guitar parts. Always good to see how someone else does it..
Great video and great products! Keep up the good work
PX-64 IS an excellent plugin! But potential buyers be aware PX-64 is only available in the $500 Sonar X3 Producer edition! I felt a bit misled when I discovered that fact, as I thought this class was about functions available to all editions, not exclusive to the top-of-the-line only. Oh well... such is the world of marketing!
Can I simulate a brush stroke?
excellent plugin PX-64
how do you know what frequency to remove at 6:10 ?! i'm confused, cos i move it around, and thers alot of frequencies that sound nasty
i'm sure they didn' t looked for the perfect sound but instead to showcast the potential
That kick drum sounds like the infamous 80s kick. I would rather use a 60s kick.
