Self awareness is like a muscle. It needs to be exercised constantly, but you also need to know how to use it. Too much in one direction and you become manipulative. To much in the other and you'll be anxious and second guessing yourself. Finding balance is a good start, but all of it is useless if you don't know how to communicate effectively.
