Su can, and has, opened a pit for a wall of death with nothing but arm movements. She is in absolute control of the crowd at all times.
NO BAND CAN EVEN COME CLOSE TO THEIR CROWD CONTROL OR MOSH PIT INTENSITY.
The guitarist passed away in 2018 from a fall at an observatory and one one the girls Yui Mizuno (Yuimetal) had decided to leave the band due to poor health, following her absence from live performances since December 2017. 😥

Love the reaction and energy! This was the lead vocalist, “Su-Metals” 16th birthday. Fun little Easter egg at the end as she’s going up to the gong, you see the bassist head pop in and he has happy birthday written on the side of his head! The amount of detail that goes into production adds to the amazing live performances!

I love the bmcxc one or whatever the name is lol I can never remember but watching a clip of them doing that one before the music video came out was 100% better live... the band is just insane along with the girls vocals and stage presence and crowd interactions

Great reaction - great song, great performance. There were still two more songs after this one - and they'd been keeping up that same energy for the dozen or so songs up until then.
Legend 1997 was the day after Su-metal's 16th birthday (she was born in December 1997), Yui and Moa were 14.
One of the main functions of the choreo and a major role for Yui and Moa (or Moa and the chosen Avenger now) is to get the crowd involved, to have them jump when they do, to have them sing along to their lines ... and as you saw the whole arena has no choice but to do what they want them to.
That was the Kami Band backing them up - Mikio Fujioka (RIP) and Leda Cygnus on guitars, BOH with his 6 string bass and Hideki Aoyama on drums.

Headbangers is one of the best for mixing cuteness and metal from this band.
Su definitely lost her breath. Her voice is incredibly strong. That is what she sounds like singing at half power. If you want to hear what she really sounds like listen to No Rain No Rainbow live at Legend S.
it is difficult enough to hold notes standing still....never mind dancing around like she does. although her coreo was toned down, she still does a good deal of dancing while singing...

I have the WHOLE Legend of 1997 concert on my playlist and these girls just go go go go go, 100% on every song and that's why we all love them dearly. They are just 15 and 16 years old here. That level of commitment and professionalism at that young an age and this goes for the whole production team is just above and beyond anything that I've seen in 40 years.

The 'ki-e-ro' crowd chant moment at 6:24 mark of your video still gives me goosebumps every time I watch this video, Made all the more effective as the instruments all come back in.When they played this song at the FORUM in LOS ANGELES 10-11-2019 we went crazy.....And we hit the' ki-e-ro' chant right on que and our queen was smiling with approval.

I would love to see a video from that performance of that song. I totally believe you, but it's awesome to see a 100% genuine appreciative Su smile when a crowd does what she doesn't expect them to do. It's so normal for the crowds in Japan, maybe even the UK, to go all-in, but it's a wholly different animal when a U.S. crowd goes all-in. Much like when Weird Al covers one of your songs, you know you've made it, the same thing goes with a U.S. audience being in lock-step with you and does the crowd participation at live shows!

Remember: live is almost ALWAYS best for them. Hell they did choreo for Tales of The Destinies which is a prog metal song they only performed once.

Not the show closer. This was the third song of a five song encore with the KAMI band. The next song in the show is Akatsuki (unfinished) followed by BabyMetal Death.

Another reactor, a voice instructor pointed what you guys said.. the amount of cardio ang voice control that the girls do is damn near insane. They are in her opinion, Olympic caliber vocal athletes. Just downright incredible.

Was finally able to see it live at the LA Forum concert.
'Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!!' was one of their early hits.
Even though the song is about a fifteen year old girl attending her first heavy concert, Su was only fourteen when the single and video were released.
It's not biographical, but it is a song she could relate to. At that age she was on stage, rather than attending concerts. : )

If you do search in UA-cam with keywords "babymetal 2019 forum headbang" you will find videos showing American audiences are shouting the same Japanese words at the Forum, LA. (17,000 audiences, sold out).

This was one of the videos that really got me hooked on them. The live performances are just absurdly good. I can't wait until I can finally attend one in person. Road of Resistance, Live in Japan would be a great one to react to next. That or Rondo of Nightmare from Budokan Black Night, which shows off the backing band particularly well.

If you want to up the ante on having never seen this level of participation, I recommend you watch Metrock 2015. A whole festival crowd participating, moshing, humongous circle pits. I'm still in awe as a metalhead.

FYI: the Gimme Chocolate video you did was from the same show, "Legend 1997" in 2013, only with studio audio dubbed over the performance, which makes it a lot less heavy and impressive than the "real" live version with the Kami Band.
