Insanity? You are just scratching the surface my friend. Maybe something like Megitsune, probably their best song. BABYMETAL is better live almost every time, so you can check the performance from Budokan Black Night, but the official music video is also pretty great.

Great reaction. To answer one of your questions - yes every song is different but they are all entertaining, they will get you like this every time and they will continue to surprise and confuse you ... but that smile on your face will become a permanent fixture.
The crowd interaction is led by the choreo, so yes the crowd take their lead from the girls and pretty much jump when they are told, pump their fists and shout when they are given the sign, kneel down and bow when commanded, open walls of death and circle pits at just a gesture from Su-metal ... and it is impossible to resist no matter how far back you may be - it isn't just the first 10 rows joining in at a BABYMETAL concert, it is the whole arena.
That was the Kami Band playing the instrumentals - you didn't see them in the 'Gimme Chocolate' video even though this was from the same show. The Kami Band only came on for the last 5 songs. Up until then the instrumentals were all on a backing track and the guys in skeleton suits (Babybones) were miming them.
BABYMETAL couldn't always afford a live band and starting as part of a Jpop group singing to a backing track was the norm. This show was the final stage of their transition from Jpop Idols and Idol group sub-unit to becoming an independent band in their own right. The Kami Band were phased in bit by bit from late 2012 and became the full time support for all live shows in March 2014 at the next big shows after this one. They have been with BABYMETAL for all live shows ever since.
Ah yes BOH is the Kami Band bassist and yes that was a 6 string bass he was playing. The Kami Band is made up from the absolute best session musicians to be found in Japan. The line up is not always the same but there is a hard core of about half a dozen musicians who play depending on their availability, clashes with their own projects and so on.

'Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!!!' was the third song of a five song encore with the live Kami Band.
This song was one of their early hits.
I was thrilled when they brought it back for the 2019 tour, and I finally got to hear it live at the LA Forum.
Even though the song is about a fifteen year old girl attending her first heavy concert, Su was only fourteen when the studio version was recorded.
It's not biographical, but it is a song she could relate to. At that age she was on stage, rather than attending concerts. : )
This is from the Legend "1997" concert, named for Su-metal's year of birth.
She turned 16 the day before this show.
The venue was Makuhari Messe, a convention center outside Tokyo.
BABYMETAL perform there quite often.
This concert is bundled with the Legend "1999" concert on the LIVE～LEGEND 1999&1997 APOCALYPSE DVD and blu-ray.
Wait till you find songs like No Rain No Rainbow and you understand that BABYMETAL is not just fun and catchy but also at times they can make you cry and feel all kinds of different feelings. BabyMetal is a genre breaking happy chaotic badassery . The evolution of the band is amazing and they rightfully deserve the #10 ranking on the all time greatest heavy metal bands.

Nice & thanks from Japan 有難う💛。 In your video, you heard the crowd shout some words at 09:01. The words are "ki-e-ro 消えろ!" meaning "get out of here!". This shout comes out wherever BABYMETAL goes on this planet and whenever Su-Metal directs her mic towards audiences. In the concert, the crowd becomes a part of BABYMETAL's performance. Nobody can just watch the stage and listen to the music without moving bodies. It is irresistible. Functions of Moa & Yui (currently one of the Avengers) are (1) conductors to orchestrate unorganized crowd, (2) interpreters of lyrics with a kind of sigh language, (3) cheer leaders to excite the audiences (they are already & always excited, though 😄 ) and more importantly (4) forming a triangle with Su which makes their performance look more dramatic and 3-dimensional. @@tomasbrejsek3461 Originally "Get out of here" is a Su's line in the lyrics. She wants all crybabies to disappear from here (= the venue of brutal metal concert). The audiences shout on her behalf only when she turns her mic towards them (she always does). That is a command by Queen. You can find English translation of the lyrics and understand the situation.

I discovered Babymetal four months ago and their shows completely hypnotized me :-) Music, choreography, production, crowds, cute girls and especially a million smiles in contrast with heavy music. All aspects are level 1000.

Yes, this is normal :) "Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!!" is a very loved song and already a classic. This early performance shows perfectly how they master on crowd control. Kudos to the audience as well because they were so incredibly hyped... well, they got exactly what they deserved shortly after LOL

Great reaction. There's nothing wrong with Gimme Choco, it's a BABYMETAL song, and in some ways it's their most important song, it made them a global sensation. The "WTF" factor is strong and might scare away a few people, but fact is, they exploded thanks to that song, even if it's not even close to their best.
Headbanger is a better example of their quality: Nice vocals, excellent musicianship, catchy hooks and tons of energy. You can see the way the crowd is responding to that, and they get the same response in Japan and during their tours through the West.

Next reaction either Karate MV or Live at Download Festival 2016 in the UK. Megitsune has traditional Japanese influence, either react the MV or Live at Budokan Black Night version. Babymetal is unique and different from any metal band out there. Babymetal combined Metal music and Idol Pop culture into their music. Legend 1997 refers to the year Queen SU - Metal was born. Not the year of the concert. The concert was performed in 2013.

Babymetal's style is called kawaii metal (cute metal) due to the combination of the three (now only 2 since Yui left the band in 2018 due to health issues) members (SU-metal, our queen!; Moa-metal; and previous member Yui-metal) being super young and super cute (KAWAII!) and the heavy metal sound the band is producing (which is insane btw).

This is the song that sent me into the Foxhole for life. Pure, driving force from start to finish. And you get to see Su-Metal's Death Glare at 7:41 and 8:09. Be careful. It's been known to steal souls.
Their official videos are all worth a watch, but you should stick with the live stuff for now. Although most of their stuff is subject to blocking the live stuff, I believe, is less so.
Now you've seen and heard The Kami Band. One of the best bands in the world. Though you don't see much of them you did catch The Six String God of Bass, Bohte Daisuke (BOH) and you got to hear the leads of Mikio Fujioka who was taken from the world much too soon in 2018. If you ever wonder if that's Mikio playing just look for the widest smile you've ever seen in your life. It's kind of his trademark.
This song is also not representative of the Babymetal sound because there is no song that represents their sound. I don't think you are ready for their really early stuff like "Doki Doki Morning" or "iine" but you are getting close to being ready for the spectacle that is "Babymetal Death."
I think you should go with "Rondo of Nightmare w/intro (Mischiefs of the Metal Gods)" or "Akatsuki" next. Live versions, of course.
Any suggestion is good for me though. Whatever you choose to do, strap yourself in and be prepared for a wild ride.

Good reaction! BABYMETAL is best viewed LIVE, except for the Official MV's of KARATE & MEGITSUNE (although there are good live versions of those as well). When it comes to BABYMETAL, most preconceived notions of what you're about to experience become fruitless. However, you can trust it will be different & it will be done well.
