You must be sexist, if the kid was a guy you'd be more inclined to think he was a threat to the cops, just cuz it is a girl you think "she" is so innocent. No one had a clue if she had something to do with the mother being shot or not. Cops have the right to defend themselves. She was with her father of her own free will, knew he killed her mother, she went with the father and into a store and bought 2 sodas and her father let her go obviously trusting she wouldn't rat him out. Why would anyone assume she was purely innocent? Just because she is a girl? You don't even know if she was a gang member. If an officer gave an order and the victim got shot by another officer because she obeyed such order, the police is obviously to blame, whether there was intent or mere negligence. The officers up the embankement were there strictly for support against a possible escape attempt, they had absolutely no business interfering with the arrest perimeter. There’s simply no justification to such conduct, and if law enforcement be allowed such broad leeway of interpretation, no operation will ever be safe. To argue that the victim should’ve behaved otherwise is idle speculation, as she was just following orders - it should be stressed: ORDERS, NOT MERE INSTRUCTIONS.

Easy analysis to make with the benefit of a video that explains ahead of time what is about to happen to the girl. The video you viewed was stitched together from multiple angles including a helicopter all while you were comfortably sitting in a chair somewhere. The decisions become a little more tricky when you don't know ahead of time who the next person to die is going to be. When real bullets are flying and real people have been killed.
