I bought a ps portal, but I am confused. Can we acess ps5 using portal when console is completely is rest mode or should it be turned on like normal to have acess. The reason why I am asking is because I can use my portal only when my console is online than on rest mode, please help. Thank you

Mine keeps disconnecting from the PS5 completely from this and all of the remote play settings are switched to allow Internet connection in rest mode etc. When I follow your instructions and click disconnec the portal loses connection when the PS5 goes into rest mode, then the portal turns the PS5 back on again when I connect and mirrors it.
Absolutely infuriating.

You can't actually use it in rest it jsut puts the pa5 in rest mode and disconnect the ps plus the only time u can use remote play is when the playstation is on

It didn’t work for me. I did what you told me to and every time I cut off my PlayStation my PlayStation portable cut off too with it. I’ve been trying since I had the portable and it only play when my ps5 on

Yeah that's pretty lame and my phone doesn't even read the PlayStation QR codes it's so stupid I feel like they made it seem like you could put your PS5 in rest mode the fact that you can't is quite ridiculous this is so disappointing and a bad piece of technology I'm probably going to just return it pretty disappointed after all the headache of trying to get this thing set up just to realize that it won't work it's really silly how they made a product like this

You CAN NOT turn your PS5 off or put in REST MODE while playing the portal. The portal has to mirror off the ps5 to work.

So to check with this. If you are playing away from home would your ps5 switch on whilst away from home and you would have to remote put into rest mode when finished. Only just got 1 so just wanted to check and get my head around it.

This is true. The ps5 has to be switched on to play any games on it. Without it being switched on, the portal is pretty pointless & can't do anything on it.
