Supertramp is a great English rock band formed in 1969. They had so many hit songs in the 70's-80's such as "Dreamer", "The Logical Song", "Give A Little Bit", "Breakfast In America", "Rudy", "Take The Long Way Home", "School", "It's Raining Again", "Bloody Well Right", "My Kind Of Lady", "Cannonball", "I'm Beggin' You", "You Win, I Lose" etc.
The entire Breakfast In America is a timeless masterpiece! Well written, well recorded, well produced! It doesn' t get any better than Supertramp! 👍👍🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸
One of the most underrated bands in history. SUPERTRAMP are the definition of good vibes, good music and positive energy. They're were into some uplifting, mind-stimulating stuff, and wanted you to understand the world around you in a different way. Good music, good artistry. The orange juice cover will always be iconic, too.
Great song with a genius outro. The whole album is so well produced, musically and technically. And recorded so crystal clear. All instruments sound great.
Listen to the entire album. But back in the day we did on high-end audio systems where we were surrounded in a room with the physical acoustics earbuds just will never be able to reproduce. Listening to music on a high-end audio system is almost like a live performance with the band right in front of you and a sound stage as wide as a theater.
THIS is the kind of reaction to this song I was hoping for. It is how I reacted the first time I heard it on the radio when it was new. Can you imagine being a teenager when songs this fantastic were "typical?" Yes, it was an amazing time to be a teenager, when music is so important to us. It's wonderful to see you appreciate it, and "feel" it the same way we did back then.
Ashley, The best thing about these reactions is YOU! You are a joy to watch and listen to. I wish I could travel and meet you. Your frank honesty and appreciation of the old decades' music is heart-warming.
Great reaction. These guys were geniuses creating music. Very rare key used. Great harmonies. That question answer back from lead singer and band is fabulous.
I am so glad that your generation is discovering the awesome music that we were blessed with growing up in the 70’s & 80’s and just think how lucky you are to be so early in your journey with so many awesome songs still to come! Enjoy the journey!
This is my 1stx watching a reaction of yours, and I loved it ....of course it is hard to not love a Supertramp video !!! I am always looking for new reactors truly discovering the music of my youth.....can not wait to watch more of your reactions !!
First time here, liked your reaction....great band! Reminds me of summers gone by in the early '80s. Gonna subscribe, so from west coast Canada 🇨🇦, peace.
Supertramp was SO good. They were the real deal. 🙂 Lots of great songs for you to discover, but my personal fav is Long Way Home. Killer harmonica in that one.
I've watched a thousand reaction videos give or take, and I would say only about 20 of them have brought me to tears. This one did. It's a combination of your obvious enjoyment of the music your hearing and the song itself. Cheers from the canadian Queen nut.
Goodbye Stranger ... A friend of mine was a confirmed bachelor. We were on a dart team together and so we went to bars. He was the life of the party and he was always saying that 3 words would never come out of his month ... "I love you"... he was usually with a girl for a few days then move on. Never let one move in for more than a few months and still went out with others. He made it clear from the start but was still criticized for it claiming that he was doing her wrong.
So glad you appreciate such good music, really enjoy your reactions & commentary. This album is full of fantastic songs, just a masterpiece in musicality. I compare it to Boston's debut album; just top tier. Keep bringing us great music!
Fan-TAS-tic prog rock UK band, actually coming in on the back end of the British Invasion. Most all their songs are classic hits. Thanks for your reaction.
Thanks for another great reaction, Ash! The smart thing to do with Supertramp's music is to react to each and every song on the following albums, in this order: "Crime of the Century", "Crisis? What Crisis?", "Even In The Quietest Moments" and finally "Breakfast in America"! Cheers,
That... was what we heard in 1979, be careful without the sound technology of now... can you imagine if we had had more technology... Faithful sound of Instruments that is the secret of excellent music of the time Thank God ... as if time had not passed
Nice reaction - I still feel that way after decades of listening to this song, especially when they drop the funk in the outro. You have an radio amazing voice by the way. Liked & subscribed. 🌞🎶😎🤗🙌👍
That was so enjoyable. You're funny and remind me of somebody I used to know. Maybe check out in earlier hit of theirs called Bloody Well Right. It's so good.
Hello *Ashley,* It's definitely one of my favorite *Supertramp* tracks; the wah-wah guitar at the end drives me crazy every time. I never want it to end! 😅 The lyrics are a hymn to freedom and an invitation to long-distance travel, in short, a top! That I listened to so many times on my Sony cassette Walkman in the 80s, on the bus to college and stared out the window, wishing myself a break from that daily grind and embarking for, I don't know what dream destination, greeting each other "Goodbye stranger, goodbye Marie, goodbye Jeanne (I'm French, lol), will we ever see again?" 😋😊 May I suggest you turn up the volume a bit on the music? Indeed, here, in the headphones, even volume fully, I felt a little frustrated not to feel, as intensely as wanted, the frenzy of this anthology piece. But, hey, it was great anyway; thank you for this enthusiastic reaction, which I share! Peace, folks. ☮😉
New sub here. Just cruising through yours vids and it seems from Barry Gibb to Freddy Mercury to, Karen Carpenter etc you love a great voice. You HAVE to react to Steve Perry and Journey. Anything live. Ah-mazing.
Saw them live back in the day live many times never disappointed. If you listen to the lyrics it can be taken two ways Mary Jane as women or more likely Mary Jane was cannabis back then or maybe still is. Still take it to this day and I’m 70+
Listen all the songs they are awesome. Start with fools overture then crime of the century and then goodbye stranger and then breakfast in America and then for me the saddest and beautiful song off all time is Don't leave me know" Roger Hodgson the best singer and composer of the whole world and number 2 is Rick Davies. ❤❤❤
Great review of a favorite song! I have Liked and Subscribed. I have a great suggestion for a song no one has reviewed... Funk-Gospel singers 'The Stovall Sisters,' "Hang On In There." 🤯 Thank you! Erik
You really need to listen to "Fools Overture" by Supertramp then, or if you can find it, the version of Roger Hodson performing it with a full orchestra.
In the 70's and 80's they made MUSIC because they were passionate. These days there is almost only commercial Junk because everything is about money money money.
Although not my favourite song by them (Hide In Your Shell), the Logical Song is probably the best representation of what they can be. This is only a representation of what they are
Dreamer is probably their only other song that matches the upbeat fun of this song. Rudy and Crime of the Century are probably good to listen to if you like how they do interesting things with their music.
Don't be wearing Jackets or top's with stripes unless you have a very expensive camera, It causes an effect called Moire. Other than that, these guys were great:)
You gotta react to "EZ mill" a very talented and multi dimensional artist, he recently got signed to shady/aftermath and has a new song out with Eminem called "realest" you gotta react to that one too.

The best part of your reaction is watching you go from tired, stressed and worn out to a huge smile and goosebumps. The power of good music!

Can’t go wrong with Supertramp!!!👌 They have a brilliant catalog!!!👍 Their fantastic live too, enjoy the ride!!!👌👍✌️😁
I saw their last concert ever in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada... Encore was Goodbye stranger, and then take the long way home.
All Supertramp songs sound this good. love this band.

Great all time song. Even after you realize he's talking about his one night stands. And the fact that he has no desire to change. Priceless! ❤
A Classic! My motto! I never look behind me and my trouble's will be few!!!!

You’re reactions always make me smile. Nice to see younger folk appreciate the music of my day. And appreciate roller skating.

Great reaction. I first heard this band last year, and they blew me away. They're excellent musicians and lyricists. You'd like "The Logical Song."
I loved how you had both hand on the headphones on the guitar solo out-tro shaking and groovin' - magical goodness! 👍

Every Supertramp track is a masterpiece!
this song has something of inexplicable that touches the most secret internal chords....

"You have an awesome appreciation for music"
They just don't make music like they used to. 🔥 🔥 🔥
They do
Ashley...
Have you heard (Supertramp - Take the long way home) That'll knock your socks off.
The best one they did.
New sub here. Just cruising through yours vids and it seems from Barry Gibb to Freddy Mercury to, Karen Carpenter etc you love a great voice. You HAVE to react to Steve Perry and Journey. Anything live. Ah-mazing.
My own favorite is 'Even in the quietest Moments'. A little more soulful and bluesy than this one. But also a little psychedelic.
the 70's Supertramp, Pink Floyd, YES, ELP, Jethro Tull, Led Zepplin, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple and Queen
That is just the tip of the iceberg.
@@vtwintora the top 1% of that iceburg I would run out of space very quickly.

Gary Moore - Empty Rooms
Thin Lizzy - Parisian Walkways
I just finished listening to Constant Craving with Rob Squad. All I can say is that she sounds like someone that is addicted. Not by choice!
Dreamer is probably their only other song that matches the upbeat fun of this song. Rudy and Crime of the Century are probably good to listen to if you like how they do interesting things with their music.
You HAVE to check The Logical Song by them
Next....."The Logical Song".
you got groove...just sayin':)
GOODBYE MARY, GOODBYE JANE. YEAH, JUST GOT WITH HER WATCHING YOU!!! THEM GREENS!!!😆😆😆😆!!!!!
Some people called it the Bill Clinton Theme Song.
