Hey man first of my apologies if i annoy you with my request. Some time im kinda a bit to excited when its come to the toaru series ( if you can forgive me for my excitement in the future im will really apreciated 😁)
And secondly thanks for taking my request to react to my list, i really love the series and this year is toaru 20th anniversary so i want more people to know about this series. So again thank you so much for doing this its means a lot to me.
I think Thors kind of knew he was going to die ever since he got summoned. he's clearly capable of defeating a lot of men without killing them, but he was going to war. I think he believes in not killing these violent guys because he used to be a violent guy. he wanted to get better, once he found a reason. who knows if any of these men will find a reason someday. but that means, if he can't take any lives, that he was probably going to die eventually, like this, when he'd gone as far as he could go. I doubt he expected it to happen so soon, but this might've always been the plan.
he tells his son "you have no enemies" not in spite of the fact that he's a warrior, but because he's been a warrior, gone through it all, and learned this in the end. he says it anyway, even knowing all the arguments that could be made. he saves a dying slave because lives matter to him now, each uniquely for it's own worth. in contrast to how many lives he's taken, you can tell he's grown into a completely different person than who he was before. and when Ari asked for a war story, Thors told of his daughter's birth because that was what changed everything for him. and he intended, all along, to send Ari back home. Ari will return because Thors knows where all the worth of a life is supposed to be. he saved this kid in many ways.
Thors is able to be such a well written character in only four episodes. he will not stop being relevant to this story, ever.
