15:26 That Opening was performed by Maon Kurosaki, sadly she passed away in 2023. But she will be remembered forever for giving one of the best openings of this anime.
hardly anyone notices it but in both index and railgun's 1st opening features the same scene where their protagonist crosses paths with railgun's protagonist misaka at the vending machine while index's protagonist touma passes behind her both scenes mirrors each other from different perspective where in index we get a point of view from behind touma as he passes by misaka at the vending machine before the camera gives us an off focus corner shot of misaka turning around before someone appears glomping her while in railgun the camera is facing touma's front before facing the front of misaka as touma passes behind her and then when she turns around we see that the person glomping her actually teleported in front of her instead of appearing outa nowhere like in index's opening
Noticed it first time. Continuity may as well be a kink for me, I love it so much. When series, movies, lore connect and play off of each other, I get downright giddy. Like finding out that Bleach and Burn The Witch were in the same world. I may never watch Bleach, and I barely started Burn The Witch, but whatever, I cherish that they are connected. Seeing Touma's and Misaka's own version of the same exact moment tickles my fancy every time.
I'd like to leave a "short" explanation about the reason that made it hard to figure out "the" main character. You could say that toaru is a universe with multiple anime that play within the same location. There is: Toaru Majutsu no Index: Main character is the black haired guy. Toaru Majutsu no Railgun: Main character is the brown haired girl. Toaru Majutsu no Acceletaor: Main character is the white haired guy with the crutch. They basically play within the same large city and have some crossovers / guest appearances between each other. Great video btw.
@@chinjianle269 Shut up imagine believing whatever nonsense Gigguk says that l.ser doesn't know anything and tried so hard to downplay Touma and Magic side.
My all time favorite anime. This world has a soft spot for me since highschool and deserves so much more recognition if not for the terrible pacing and cut content from the main anime. I really love how each anime references each other from small snippets here and there, it's really rewarding if you pick up on those. Essentially, it's the MCU of anime. Absolutely love Touma Kamijou (MC, Black Spiky Haired Boy), this man punches just about anyone, Man, Woman, Child, Nuns, he will shatter those illusions if you're not on the right path.
13:44 her nickname is railgin because she cna control electricity and magnetic fields because of it. And railgun is a device that can shoot metal with the use of electromagnetic force. She basically does it with coins.
There is technically one more Railgun opening, as the Railgun OVA got it's own dedicated opening different from the rest of the series. It features the song Future Gazer by fripSide along with an original sequence of scenes.
Man... Toaru content is just extremely rare nowadays that a vid like this worth tons of gold to me The Osts that the anime use are quite unique, same for openings, so some might hype you up, some might not be your taste. I recommend you watching the Anime, or if you're a book lover, heavily recommend you reading the light novel of the same name. This piece of fiction is one of the best in existence.
Tbh, by the time we got to Accelerator, I wasgrinning like a madman and dancing in my kitchen. If you like HUGE stories, with a very large cast, and seeing magic and science go head to head and work together, this series is the dream for ya. It looked to me like those OPs were all out of order, but they still get the point across. I watched that ALL in the chronological watch order, jumping between series and seasons, to play the story out as it would happen, and I had a fucking BLAST! 10/10, 9/10 at least, recommended like crazy.
"Toaru" just stands for "A Certain" and the names are different because they all focus on the different characters. "Magical Index" is basically the "main" story line and focuses on the dude with black hair and the girl with white Hair (her name is literally Index). "Scientific Railgun" is about the coin tossing girl (she is the railgun with her ability). (nickname Railgun) "Scientific Accelerator" is the about the White haired guy (nickname Accelerator) It all plays in the same world/universe and they are connected
If gou noticed theres distinct style in opening of each series, Majutsu (Magical) with EDM with punk rock, Kagaku (Scientific) with EDM electronic / glitch trap And Accelerator (Vector) with Rock Drum bass style. Tho thats my take on the styles.
why this series absolutely banger because this is the most great world setting of all time the plot about science and magic is so good the light novel is also great, power systems is also good
POSSIBLE SPOILER! Well as for powers, I don't even know if it can be considered a spoiler since that's really prominent in the whole thing (the OPs I mean) so please read at your own risk - one of them is in the title, "A Certain Scientific Railgun". It is featured in the vid a lot that the brown hair girl uses electricity and has some connection to a coin. And (from my understanding of course) a railgun is basically a weapon, where a projectile is placed between two rails, which conduct electricty well, then they are treated with high-voltage electricity, creating electromagnetic force, which launches the projectile at a high velocity. So her signature thing is that she uses her body as conductor and electric powers to launch the coin, like a small scale railgun projectile
So the Toaru series is one giant expanded Universe with a main series A Certain Magical Index, and various spin offs that often occur at the same time following side characters from one series as a main character in another. The first two Op are the first Season of A Certain Magical Index The next two are season 1 of A Certain Scientific Railgun The next two are Index II Then next two are Railgun S Then two for Index III Then two for Railgun T Then one for A Certain Scientific Accelerator. As for the world as a whole it takes place where there is a technologically advanced private city state in the middle of what would be part of Toyko, Academy City which is a mix of Industrial Parks and Various Schools and Universities with Technology 20 years ahead of the rest of the world (And that's the stuff shown to the public experiments Dark Side tech can be even wilder) 80% of the population are students, the place is well know for the Power Curriculum Program where through Drugs, Hypnotism, etc each student can develop their own channel for Psychic powers and become an Esper, with each Esper having a Personal Reality that allows them to break physics in an individual way (Electromagnetism, Teleportation, Psychometrics, etc.) to varrying degrees of power and effectiveness, Academy City offers to give children an education based on being able to do experiments and research based off the kids esper powers with more valuable powers (Which are also generally but not always more powerful) getting more tuition money and funding. With least valuable students being Level 0 and most valuable being Level 5 (Of which only 7 exist.) HOWEVER there is also throughout the world and underground society of magicians, sorcerors, that are part of religious organization, magic cabals, etc that have their own power system based off Religion, Mythology, and the Occult that works different from Espers, and unlike Esper powers are not public knowledge and want to maintain their secrecy and masquerade. The Main series is about Touma (Spiky Haired Boy) who gets involved in a cold war between the both sides that try to stay out of each other's business but are secretly in conflict, and has an ability that is neither an Esper Power not Magic called Imagine Breaker where he can negate any supernatural effect that comes in contact with his right hand. The Girl in the White Nun Habit is how he gets involved and learns the existence of the magic side of the world, she has memorized a bunch of dangerous magic books and people are after her for her knowledge. From there we learn about various factions, groups, and conspiracies from both sides, including the Dark Side of Academy City and learn the two worlds of Science and Magic are more interconnected then they first appear. The tagline of the series is "When Science and Magic Clash A Story is Born." Railgun is a spin off that follows Mikoto Misaka the #3 ranked Level 5, and A Certain Scientific Accelerator is another spin off following Accelerator the #1 Ranked Level 5. The first series Index is the Main series and is based off a Light Novel series however the anime often butchers the adaptation (Especially Season 3.) Railgun is more popular for anime onlies and is based off a Manga spin off of the main series and the anime is actually good which leaves it often overshadowing the main series (Even though the Novels are great.) There are even more spin-offs that have yet to be made into anime adaptations and there is more Index, Railgun, and Accelerator that can be made into multiple seasons, the whole series with spin offs forms a kind of expanded cinematic universe, sometimes showing the same arc from a different perspective.
The thing about this openings is thatnits 3 diferent animes that are happening at the same time.in the same world Honestly the to aru series maybe one of the greatest franchises people are not watching 🤣
In the first Opening, towards the end when the MC Touma (black-haired boy) is facing off against Accelerator (the white-haired boy). After Accelerator summons that electrical storm, there is a blink and you'll miss it moment, when Touma touches one of the lightning bolts and the entire storm disappears. It's very brief but that gives you a hint to his powers.
At 4:17 when you asked what language the subtitles was I laughed out soo hard cuz I wasn't even paying attention to it, but then I realized its my mother language Hungarian XDDDD
She flicks the coin so fast it hit the target before it has a chance to evaporates due to the crazy speed. That's why the show has Railgun in the title.
A bit confusing at first but there are 3-ish main characters depending on the sub name, magical index, scientific railgun or accelerator. Though all the characters at least appear in each show crossing paths and story arcs.
To those few lame people who really criticize me for my music taste lol: Music taste is very subjective. Some songs were good, some weren't. At least for me. If you are looking for someone who glazes every song, then don't watch my videos. There are enough fake channels out there. No negative feelings but this is my channel and I'm posting my authentic reactions because I want to. I didn't have to react to Toaru. So at least appreciate the honesty and don't criticize me for my music taste just because it doesn't match yours. Like wtf. I won't have that. I live and love music and have a long history with it. It's nothing personal but there were a few unnecessary comments like this and it's enough. Nothing against constructive criticism but just saying "oh you don't know what good music is" is sooo immature, like wtf, get a life.
Nah man, im with you on this, i really love the series with all my passion but that does not mean i like every ops the series has to offer, my favorite is those 2 railgun S ops, index ss3 op 2 and the accelerator ops ( shadow is the light) and yeah cant wait for you to react to the fight scene if you want i can give you the name of some dope fight scene.
The MC and the second MC with the white hair with psychic powers who got his own spinoff anime are both very very op. The plot is science vs magic/religion
