This anime weights heavy on story and characters first, and less on gratuitous action sequences. And I'm all for it. But don't get me wrong. There's a couple of sweet action sequences, but it's not every single episode.
Cant wait for season 2 will be even better, I remember when the anime got green lit years ago I'm glad it got the adaption it deserved unlike other great manga

Sir Snow it’s fate zero first, then fate stay night unlimited blade works. After that it’s the movie trilogy called heavens feel. Then u can just watch different fates. Not grand order though.

It isn't based on historical events like Vinland though it has a medieval European fantasy setting (sword-fighting warfare) and good art direction. The action scenes won't seem like much animation-wise but they're still interesting just because of the characters and seeing where the plot's going. Episode 10 in particular has a deep monologue about friendship and dreams which really stood out to me.
