    Wow, that’s what I always wanted, the exhaust upgrade with the ability to quiet w/ button. I don’t want any drone above normal so I’d be curious to hear the standard MM sound compared to total stock. I also like the higher fluted notes from the vids MM ex. Seems promising for sure

    10/10 man the sound but if I do ecu tune with vivid racing will I get the same result? And i use that exhaust pipe really lit sound bro

      I agree on the sound. There are a lot of off the shelf tunes that are not that good, due to no real adjustment or logging support or live data logging capabilitys, mostly bad copies of other higher end tunes. We do pro-tuning with COBB Accessport, best bang for you buck. The accessport capabilities are very good with ecu knock detection, AFR, and many more useful data to monitor. I say custom pro-tuning, COBB and Protomotive custom tunes are my first choices.

      Depends on who does the work and what parts you use. I have pinned coolant lines, sharkwerks elbows, turbo intake tubes, intercoolers, exhaust, bmc filter, 1 level cooler plugs,, tune, and semi solid motor mounts right now. Doing most of the work myself besides the pinned lines, elbows, and tuning has cost me roughly $7500. I plan to do 68mm turbos, injectors, and e85 for engine mods next and that will be about $4000. But that will require an amg solenoids upgrade in the tiptronic as well as a tcu tune. And that will cost me another $2000 or so.

    Is that stock engin based i have 997.1 s supercharger but I run it to 6 psi I want get 775hp safely should buy forged pistion and rods without crank or I nedd it

    • @sutherlacd27
      @sutherlacd27 3 роки тому +2

      You have a supercharged non turbo model? You can't get anywhere near 775hp safely on that car without a lot of work. You would be better off removing the supercharger, put the car back to stock, sell the car, sell the supercharger separately, and then buying a turbo model. And then you will need a full 3" exhaust system, intercoolers, turbo intake tubes, meth injection or e85, injectors, and 65mm or 68mm turbos. That will be the most you can do reliably on the stock bottom end and that should be around the 750hp mark at the crank not wheels. tiptronic will need upgraded amg solenoids, clutch packs, and tcu tune. Manual will need upgraded clutch.
      If you want 775whp you will need aftermarket turbos instead of the 65mm or 68mm vtg upgrade. You will need new rods as well.

      Should be around 15-25k depending on brand and quality of parts. I've got an 09TT as well.

      I have 3" catless xpipe exhaust i got for $1400, markski intercoolers for a little over $2000, and turbo intake tubes for $600. I am going to 68mm turbos for $3000. Meth injection for under $1000. Tcu tune for $1000. Tune for $1000. If I wanted to go with e85 it would be $800 for injectors and tune would be $1400. Not sure about fuel pump upgrade cost. Pinning coolant lines, sharkwerks elbows, new water pump, thermostat, and 1 step cooler plugs i paid $2000. So everything together would be around $15k

    • @sutherlacd27

      Lots of places sell them. Top automotive, markski, champion, SRM, Freddy Lewis, etc.
      How big of a build do you plan on? Max effort on stock rods? 65mm turbos, with exhaust, intercoolers, and turbo intake tubes will get you close to the max the stock rods can handle reliably. 63.5mm turbos with the supporting mods will make a low 10 second car still and save a few grand instead of the 65mm turbos in most cases. I have a pair of 65mm turbos on my 997.1 turbo now. I had Freddy Lewis at Lewis Speed do mine. He only charges $2000 for them where most people charge $5000+. He also made my 3" catless, xpipe, resonators, and anti drone tubes exhaust for $1400 which is drastically cheaper than anyone else.

      I'm assuming you are referring to the pdk being the difference maker. A tcu tune on the tiptronic improves shift times to just slightly slower than the pdk. With 700hp it would walk a stock 997.2 turbo

    If you don’t replace everything they tell you to and anything goes wrong, you’re basically going to blow your engine. Hmmm, not sure about that. Sounds a bit hanky. Also, a bit of smoke comes out of their car at 2:16. Probably not a big deal, but it’s a little funny with how high minded their attitude seems to be.

    • @motorsports5614
      @motorsports5614 3 роки тому

      Well, you can be sure when the engine fails and will cost you 100k then it will teach a very valuable lesson. All of the known issues on a 12 year old engine like the plastic elbows, turbo lines, coolant lines, fittings, gaskets, seals, water pump plastic impeller are all a common failure and should be upgraded. Sounds like you probably never owned this kinda of vehicle judging by your comments. Because most Porsche owners already know these common failure points that can result in engine damage. Everything that is mentioned in the video will fail on a stock engine, let alone pushing 200 more HP and not changing or upgrading anything when there is now more pressure, more heat, is just pure stupidity and waisted money to fix again. Catastrophic coolant failure will result in possible engine failure and a bad accident or death if this happens at high speeds because the coolant will immediately dump on the rear tires and the vehicle can go into a spin. Would you want to take that chance? I dont think so! It's called pay to play! The guy in the video is 1000% right, knowns exactly what he is talking about.
      If you can't afford to do this right the first time then don't even attempt this because a good reputable shop will not touch it.
      This engine is a flat six, they all can smoke on a cold start up depending on where the ring gap lands as they do rotate and engine oil will pool up on the cylinder walls. This is a real GT1 race engine, best to do some research before making a funny comment like this or trying to call someone out.

    Sure, your 6 speed stock 480 barely will break the 12’s. By today’s standards a super slow car. Any modern sedan will leave it behind. Not to mention what a POS that model year car is.

      False. These cars are so much better with these mods. Even exhaust, intercoolers and tune makes a drastic improvement. Completely transforms the car and elevates it to an entirely new level.
