Have you considered RWB? That would be sick to see, and the guy that builds them comes to you and builds it so you can get some good quality content for the channel.
Headlights and steering wheel were a must that old steering wheel was basic💪🏽
Are you selling the front right door handle? How much do you ask for it?
Well after watching all about this build is very hard for me at least and very confusing to think how you as the owner feel weird now after you done it the way you like it,
because you build it exactly how you want it so at least you must enjoy it for what it is maybe post more clips if you do more up-grades to it..
Confucious says: "Ads like this are like flies with only one wing"
I liked the LED tail lights you had. Red ones feel dated.
dated-retro or classic, depends what you wanna see I guess, I like both sets
Agreed
I love me some oem. But the LEDs were a very solid aftermarket option
You ain't not wrong 😂
Wish they were clear!
LED taillights all the way. I remember when the 997 first came out. When the dot 2 came out, I was on awe of the headlight and taillights. I own a 997.2 GT3, and still love them. A little dated, but stock is value in my case... LED for me...
LED tails looks loads better. If u want all red get some vinyl tint and make the clear red
yes what he said ^ mine are tinted. everyone loves them
He said the steering wheel is outdated and he himself is using outdated tail lights, hypocrite
All red is alright but LEDs suit the car
Was going to say the ex act same thing with the tail lights
Wow, it all came together really well, especially with the high gloss wrap. It looks amazing.
As far as the tail lights go, I believe the LED ones make it look more modern.
Glossy hood looks SO GOOD brother congrats on having a finished product 👍
I saw that 96-00 honda civic coupe. Looks like an em1. It's pretty schweet. Mine 21.00
Damn this brought it all together. PPF and new tint did wonders too. Definitely worth the hassle for a lifer. Awesome.
I agree with the gloss. Car looks minted. Those vents above the rear wheels should match the hood IMO and those calipers should be colored something other than silver, your choice. Something exotic like neon royal blue or something.
I like the all red tail lamps. It's clean looking. That GT3 steering wheel and shift boot/knob made a huge difference too. That car is truly BADASS. Drive it, and enjoy it. You earned a reliable badass car.
I'm so happy to see her finished. Absolutely perfect from color to mods I'm absolutely in LOVE...
Led better and absolutely have to put the turbo emblem back on the rear! I can’t stand blank trunks on Porsche especially turbos!
Otherwise awesome job!
Full red, it makes a solid visual against the black. The white bit in the led taillights breaks it up. Beautiful!!!! Drive it. Please pronounce the last ‘e’ if you love her, she deserves it.
Looks great. My two cents on additional mods - tint the LED tail lights red, paint the roll cage to match the car, paint the wheels bronze.
Hands down one of the best cars ever made, and you have killed it on the tasteful changes and dialing it in. Super happy for you to have such a sweet ride!
You can put red foil on the white part of the taillights and after that put light smoke foil on the whole taillight. Thats what I did and it looks perfect for me.
15:41 I think you made the right choice with all red tails. It brings the classic look back. The LED's look like a dated experiment.
The ppf absolutely makes the car pop complete gloss. Fantastic by that shop. Tail lights right choice. I would love a gunmetal bronze color rim. Front bumper and side marker lights a dark amber. No green hulk stickers on side rear window or make them a shade darker British green. Nothing wrong with car the ppf makes it pop and tail lights give it a clean look.
Love the build 👍🏻 I love the OEM look of the all reds and the practicality of the LED’s. Why not go completely one off with switching the all red lenses onto the LED’s ?
You should keep it and do more content with it! I.e. pccm+ update, climate control upgrade to that of a 997.2… I’m so jealous of your OEM carbon hood! I want one!!! 😝 I can’t believe I’ve been following your progress in this car for a year and a half! Wow 😮
been watching this build from the beginning, since your channel was still pretty small. it came out even better than I expected - this is pretty much my dream turbo too, lol. PLEASE make at least another 1 or 2 vids with this car, even if you don't touch the build just a roughly edited compilation of driving footage would be amazing
I’m glad you brought the saga of the turbo to a beautiful conclusion! I can’t help on the taillights, I like them both. In six months when you change back to the originals do a video and I’ll make a final decision! Love your vids, keep it up.
from my ❤ i wish you safety my Bud!! Great building!!! I love that Model!!!! ✊🏼 Good work!!!
Finally finished. It turn out absolutely beautiful. Enjoy the ride. Happy Motoring!
I like the rear oem lights good adjustment ! It’s the little things . Some led aftermarket units look cheap tacky gawdy and out of place just put leds bulbs in it. It just looks pure , being a car guy it’s common to go with trends and practices but nothing wrong with retaining original charm to the car retro it out as I said before find good consistent leds bulbs for the red tail lamps it’s Porsche it’s cool it og
Can put those new LED headlights w the quad daytime running lights. Have you done the Suncoast updated stereo w wifi? Literally brings car up to date w tech amd the interior feel while still having the last of the real true drivers Porsche. Have all those on my 997 turbo techart. Gotta keep all the original for resale though as I'm sure you know.. still going back and forth w mine if i should stay w the silver wheels or go black being its a white car. Opinions?
I watch many car enthusiast/building channels, but not quite sure what it is, this video I really really enjoyed and I can feel the authentic happiness while you were doing all these mods.
Well done bud!
what a difference those camber plates make. i hated thinking that it just killed a sweet car before. just adjusting the offset and camber its nasty A.F.!!!! so sick. i'll drive it if you do like it sitting. id be happy too!! cheers been here since we talked about baltimore and my bros 993 turbo. epic build!!
I would love to see a video where you take it to the track or some twisty roads.
Bro. I absolutely love the 911.. if I built one it would be like yours(except the red tails.. led looks better imo..) lol congratulations on sticking with it. Great series!!
a really great effort. I have really enjoyed watching the progession. Its inspired me to do a bit more with my own tt.well done. I would like to see an in depth road test
Your car is perfection. Never sale it this you will regret. Keep the content coming I really look forward to the next one. Thanks for the channel.
Love all of those mod's especially the steering wheel. Thats a "must do" on the 997!
I am a huge Porsche fan, especially the 911 platform from the RUF Yellowbird to a 94' 911 Turbo S with the M64/50S high performance engine, with the my dream car...lol maybe one of these days. My goal is to own a project in the next year, before my 50th birthday ✌️
Great Content!!
This build is amazing, unique, tasteful and truely custom to your liking.
Apart from the taillights..
Great work. The car looks amazing! Love the Porsche content. And I'm a red tail light fan. The LEDs look cheap and ricer. As do the exhausts!
Gonna go back to the led tail lights. The all red ones make the car look dated. With you having the clear spot on the led ones. Makes your reverse lights. Way brighter. As for having dark window tint visibility is a must haven. Now you won’t have to roll your windows down to back up at night. 😊
Paint matched brake calipers, starlight headliner, apple car play stereo/ head unit , new gas and brake pedal cover , turn the convertible button into a 2-step button and a flame map .
Cool video and build. I actually like the original style tail lights but similarly I ditched the 'triangle' steering wheel, put in a Numeric shifter and swapped wheels (BBS) among other things. One of the great things about the 997TT is it's a stout platform to personalize and customize and (still) has a lot of aftermarket and community support.
I prefer the LED tail lights personally.
I agree 100%
Same
Agree
I'm going for led smoked.normal or red led look good in dark when on but don't like the look of any of them in daylight. I have a grey one so think will match colour good.also going for the halo black headlights.
15:00i would sell those LEDs or keep as spare - but dont use them - they look cheap even if not. Surely there are better options out there ?
I say race it at Road America in vintage racing. You'll need a fire extinguisher, a fire suit, a Hans, and a race license.
Great video and enjoyed watching all of it.
Put on pccb's. Stock brakes are great, but the ceramics I put on my car is a big step up. And it'd look good with the purple 😂
Now all you need to do is just make some videos of you driving and enjoying it! Maybe some storytime while you drive, or some track days, maybe a road trip or two? I'd hate for this to be the last we see of the car :)
Great job - super jelly!! The PPF is the cream on top, no doubt about it. I would love to see this car run on Dragon Road like your eBay Motors tour. Keep up the amazing work with your even more amazing crew.
I love the gloss on the roof and hood without question when it comes to look. You are dead on with the color. But I think you should wrap it Laguna Seca blue.
I got an idea buy another 911 that had a minor fire and switch all the parts over to it off this one 😮
Outstanding car... very tasteful!!! love the wheel/tire combo. the gloss is spot on!!!
The headlights look awesome. What type of light or generation are they from? Put LED lamps in the front running lamps plug and play for $12 usp motorspots. And yes the Gen 1 steering wheel looks really dated. And imo the led depo tailights you had look the best or red out the clear to keep the LED. Might as well put in the updated PCCM plus now too. Cheers
When you rolled back to yard the wheels paired up soooo well with the night headlights. Such a clean car 👍🏼👍🏼
You need Porsche brand carbon bucket seats. Also centerlock conversion would look really cool. Yes a big pain in the ass, but still cool. Also maybe a front end lift...
Keep those LEDs. Looks way fresher and its like a full light pack with the headlights.
Badass. No other description. 997 (any model) is EASILY my favourite model of Porsche.
The all red lights unlit look the best. Do they make an all led red light? Also, I can't handle the exhaust, I feel like they need cut slightly shorter and should go to a plate filling in each of those holes.
Lets see a full highend fancy fancy video shoot with this thing. Give it a proper send off! I jumped on the sub wagon because of this build. You guys are great! Keep it up!.
LED 100% but it’s your car an it looks totally awesome an I’ve watched it change from ruff to beast beautiful ❤
All red rear lights remind me of an old Audi TT 😢
I’m glad you went with the headlights I mentioned to you last year😉,the whole car looks superb now😀👍
Are those headlights OEM, maybe 997.2? It wasn’t clear on the video.
Yes there 997.2 headlights. Easy replacement but they need abit of PIWI’s coding so there’s no error codes👍
Absolutely love this car! Gotta keep the 997.2 taillights on tho. They’re a necessity
Love it. Rebuilding my 996 and these episodes always give me motivation.
Looks amazing! But deffo better with LED rears and to bring it bang up to date, some different rims in a darker colour. But a strong 9 out of 10 as is 😍
Great build, really enjoyed the series. What are those new headlights ?
That Porsche looks awesome man. Definitely suits you, especially seeing you cruising around with your hat on backwards. Handsome dude!
1: keep the steering wheel plastic-free, exposed aluminum
2: the short shifter mechanism to be uncovered
Beautiful car some great upgrades. Personally I think it needs gloss black wheels and now some GT GT3 seats.
loved your videos , one question where do you upgrade the headlights for a 997.1 thanks and your Porsche its awesome
Car is sick! I'd imagine I'd want to keep it too. Maybe one day I'll have one. Small fortune in ppf on that car, at least by the prices I see in StL. I was quoted $600-$1000 on just my front bumper, and it's small and simple.
Red tint or better yet stained glass paint over the center of the LED tails? since the others look like they are a lighter shade of red in the turn signal/reverse light section
LED tail lights went better with the look
Love the ppf! That thing makes your car 1000% cleaner XD. I think you should get a CAE ultra shifter for your car. OEM+ alcantra shift knob seems to be very appropriate by any mean. But i think cae shifter (Silver rod with alcantra knob on top) will suit your car even better.
And LED tailights wins flawlessly. Might it be wrapped in red tint? That will be cheey on top imo.
That was fun, I watched all of the videos starting yesterday until noon today. Great job and I hope
you still have the 911 turbo😂
Absolutely my favorite build🔥🔥🔥🔥 Love this Porsche!!!
Nice Brother! Guessing it's time to sell something and get a different dream car rebuilt. Thanks for sharing! Take care!
First time I’ve ever seen your channel and I gotta say, great build and great video, I’ll definitely be coming back
Awesome build - congratulations, and thank you.
Just one tiny thing.....the Porsche logo on the wheel hubs would really round things off.
Yall did great the car looks great and look like a new Porsche.Led tail lights with a little tint I think would look good too
congrats on finishing the build. Very nice! Maybe Indecent 991 next?
The only thing to do now is get another Porsche 911 and do it all over again. Loved this series (and the Cayman). Thank you!
car looks mint ! The red tails are money if unsure the stock ones a good alternative. The led look good from far but up close it looks like a replica set as I didn t keep mine like that long
Thanks for making this video - so many UA-camrs just take the car to 95% and you never see the finishing touches.
So happy for you bro you did that!!!!!!! Well you and your team but congrats!!!!🎈🎊🎉🍾
Absolute perfection, congrats! 👏
Congrats. It looks gorgeous.
But, maybe its the audio and how it picks up but Im not crazy about the sound. Sure, Im used to V8s but it sounds way too much like my Cherokee XJ (not claiming its as fast..err slow. Mine tops out at 50ish lol but on any terrain. Though the V8 cars are another ball park lol)
But, looks wise. Im in love with that look. Its beyond words. Congrats and here's to many miles in it!
The LED tail lights is much better. I would love to see a GT3 inspired diffusers etc? The car looks great but does it look fast?
Updating the plastic center console I think is the biggest change in the 997 interior in terms of making it feel more up market.
Tail lights. Why not try tinting the led ones red? Bit of red in your clearcoat and would get rid of the clear part in the middle. Gloss bonnet and roof looks amazing!
go with the 997.2 rear lights conversion and fuggg it might as well convert the whole rear into a gt2 or gt3 (single outlet)
I had ordered those same LED tails before my 911 Turbo was totaled and never got to install them. Let me live through you, run the LED tails! Modernizes the rear soo much, in my opinion.
my dream Porsche and done right 👌 (BTW - definitely the all red taillights. The LED ones look like cheap knockoffs)
Car looks incredible! The one thing I’d absolutely do to complete it is update the terribly outdated head unit and hvac controls. No idea what the options there are to make it look factory but even an 09+ is worlds better than these first gen 997 units.
You all enlightened me too engage in auction buying any advice or starting points
I have been thinking to get Morimoto XB LED Tail lights -- the bar on the top has the slow light up like the new 992 have.
Looks amazing! Next thing I would do if it was mine is try to update the radio if possible.
Hi Lee. Happy New Year fromIreland again lol. Wow you did a beautiful job on the Porsche. I'm not sure about the Tail lights. The one's that were on it were nicer I think. But thats Minor. Lovely steering wheel, it's made such a vast difference bro. Well done Mate. Now whats next? 😅😅 🇨🇮🇨🇮
Loved every episode of this build. You guys are doing amazing work - hope you enjoy her for many years to come. Air cooled next?
the red oem tail lights look good, but maybe a smoked wrap would be nice, also would like to see a gt3 rs style rear wing for that needed downforce to grip this monster, great job!
The all red tails remind me of old jdm art or maybe anime. At least the led have that attempt at a more modern look. It might be a stretch but maybe opening the led cases and adding a trim black edge in the lenses or on the internal frames might give a more modern appearance that ties in with the black accents on the rest of the car
I have been watching since the beginning. Congrats guys!
This is the car that made me start watching your channel. Popped up in my feed. Then i stayed. Crazy how long its been lol.
