  • This 997 turbo was in poor mechanical condition and improperly tuned ECU/DME with overkill fuel injectors size, and coolant leaks. This vehicle has been in 3 different shops before it was shipped to Top Automotive, Inc for repair and a custom tune.

My Turbo, when pushed, honestly seems too fast for the street to me. I can't imagine doubling the power and then some! Amazing work!

Yes, i agree with you. On a public road a bone stock 997 turbo is way more than enough. You just simply can’t drive all the horsepower out from the car. Even a 930 turbo is still can keeping up with modern day cars. Once i drove one here in Europe. It was a wls modell which is a factory power incrased version makes around 330hp. It was a nasty evil car. Nobody felt anykind of motivation to challenging me because the car not just went fast it looked fast. Will never forget it…😊The color was similar like this 997 on the video, meteor gray with a set of wide Ruf speedline wheels.

@@NZotyoka81 I've never driven a 930, but one day I hope to! It was the poster car of my childhood. We took my 997 Turbo to the Outer Banks in North Carolina this past weekend and what you said is so true: you can't drive all the horsepower out from the car. Overtaking, it very easily blasts from 60mph to over 100mph with a bunch of pedal to spare. The push of torque from the turbos is addictive and can get you in trouble (safety and legal) very quickly. Crazy to think the new ones are even faster!

Love how the owner kept the original dot 1 turbo wheels😍🤩

They're great wheels. I have the same car in black with beige interior. Rarely have seen wheels that I think fit this car nicer than the original factory. Porsche hit it out of the park with 997.1 turbo. Unfortunately, there are known issues that WILL happen eventually to these engines/cars.

@@slqer coolant pipes, spun camshaft sleeve, requiring costly repair, spoiler deployment fail from pentosan leaking, clutch slave issues with the manuals, and eventually gaskets leaking from the tip, radiator leaks from the placement of the radiators low and in front behind the grill with no mesh covering allowing many rocks to slam into it

@@mak23997coolant pipes are no big deal, people routinely pin or weld them as a preventative measure. The wing hydraulics are problematic but can be replaced with an aftermarket electronic ram. You are correct about these. Clutch slave issues--never heard of this other than a preference for the feel of a non hydraulically assisted clutch, which can be changed out. Leaking tip gasket--never heard of this. Damage to radiator because its low and in front of grill--that's practically any car. Mesh can be easily added but has been proven to reduce cooling ability. Radiators don't last forever especially on a highway driven car. Respectfully, I'm not seeing your perspective here

@@slqer respectively, you don’t have to. I just named a number of issues that plague these cars, including mine, so that any buyer beware that despite this car, being one of the most amazing cars built, don’t buy the hype that it’s “bulletproof”. Just having to weld and pin pipes is a bad look and shouldn’t be a known issue that you just accept. Again, I’ve owned my car since 07 and have dealt with all of these issues, but for people thinking they’re buying a “bargain Porsche“ they need to realize there’s a huge cost and should be prepared

Is there any engine upgrades you can do for the 997.1 non turbo?
I only have a fabspeed cold intake

Hi , i have a question, i had the coolant issue which lead to an engine failure and the oil and water was mixed , i had to open the engine and rebuild it , but recently I noticed that when i am driving in the cold weather my engine oil temperature drops to 60-70 celsius . And then the engine coolant temperature starts to drop also while driving and goes down to 70 , and if i keep driving i get a message ( coolant failure) and the temperature gauges shuts down both of them , i never had this problem before , radiators and oil coolers are brand new but i dont think its normal to drop the temperature below notmal , what do you think the problem is ?
