came looking for troubleshooting to a "front load" machine. This video is a top load.
this is a front load. that was the back panel that was removed.
Thank you for this video! It helped me fix my washer and saved hundreds of dollars because I didn't have to buy a new one or call a repairman.
Great job. Thank you for your work!
Thank you so much. That was the exact problem you help solve.

I have a brand new LG machine that I hooked up. It was delivered to my house last year but never hooked up until now. Started it up and there was a horrible grinding noise and the back access panel was moving. I took the access panel off and the whole rotor assembly is warped and the back side is hitting the access panel when the warped side comes around. frustrating but thank you for your video this is super helpful!
I have a brand new LG washing recently which won't stop washing as it keeps adding water and time to the wash. I called the dealer and made them send me a replacement the next 2 days. Simply unacceptable. The replacement unit is fine. LG=Lemon Goods.
does the tub need to be drained to perform this diagnostic/repair?

Mine had spider shaft assembly seized in the bearing in the inward position. Rotor was rubbing on coil mounting bolts.

That’s a top loader isn’t it?
I bought the new rotor. I go to put it on and it pushes the shaft in. I can't seem to get it on enough to get the bolt started, to even try to draw it in. I tried having my wife push the drum from the other side...the good news is we are still married, but it was touch and go there for a few. Do you have any thoughts. I have an LG WM210H and purchased rotor 4413ER1003A

Get your girlfriend to help.
Just an update on this. I bought a longer bolt and washer then used that to get it started...once I got it in far enough I used the bolt that was there. I had to use a drill with a socket adapter and would torque it in then back off and torque it in more. I'm not sure if it will come back off too easily but it is on now
My washer is making a grinding noise and does not get up to speed when spinning. I was thrilled to see this video and knew this had to be the problem. Well, all of my splines are perfect. Now what? Bearings? Drum does not appear to be out of alignment or wobbling. is there a clutch in here somewhere? I was getting a burnt wiring/hot clutch? smell too.
Mine did the same. The problem was a coin trapped between the tub and agitator at the bottom. Look inside and you will see there is a gap large enough for a small coin to fit.
🙏🙏

Great video.
But please, what's the name of the tool you used in unscrewing the screws on the back plate?
Secondly, I suggest you include a list of all the tools used in each of your repairs.
Thanks and best regards.

Ahhh….thats a top load, not a front load.
Wow
It’s a front load… that hatch on the top is for your detergent/powder
So this could of been fixed by just tightening up the bolt but you some then a new part lol
