I've been driving trucks for so long that I can't stand car or sports car seating positions with your butt down low and your feet straight out in front of you. The maverick is so easy to get in and out of compared to the low seat height of a car or sports car and I NEED to sit up high enough so I can see the traffic ahead of the person in front of me. Sports cars or low cars in general have their place but bumper to bumper traffic where visibility is a must is not one of them.
My previous truck was an F-150 crew cab with a 5' bed. It was cavernous when the back seats were up, which was a huge selling point. The back window starting leaking, but I fixed it. Then I got a chip in the windshield that cracked all the way to the edge before the end of the day. After replacing it, I started hearing water run forward when I stopped and back when I accelerated. Then it started leaking inside on the driver's door. I finally got tired of the 15 mpg and traded it for a RAV4 Hybrid and 37+ mpg. Now, I have ordered a 2025 Maverick Lariat Hybrid to satisfy that occasional truck need. This is the only truck that can turn in 37 mpg, Others should make an effort. Toyota gives you 1 mpg in town and -1 on the highway from their hybrid. All the others are similar in offering only a couple of mpg for their hybrids. It will work for me, because I am retired and don't have kids and will use it to pick up lumber once or twice a year.
I have a 22 hybrid xlt. It has been fantastic. Only thing I would complain about is I wish I had more leg room in width and that the rear view mirror wasn't so low... I have moved a full house with mine without an issue. Sure you could get an f-150 with a 5.7 foot bed, but stuff will stick out of it not much less than the Mavericks 4.6 foot bed. Really the only reason for needing a midsize or full size is if you need to tow more thank 4,000lbs. I'm actually about to order a 25 Maverick XLT hybrid with AWD and tow package so I can tow a 3,000lbs Traveler trailer!
I have the 2024 Lariat and love it....Hybrid saves me money, runs solid, and is fun to drive especially in Sport mode. I wish I waited to 2025 for the large screen. Buy The back window I use all the time, I have a sunroof, that and the back window open gives you great air.
I am waiting for the 2025 hybrid four wheel drive. I do not have small kids. I want to haul a little fire wood and Home depot trips for plants and 2x4s I drive in the city all day. The first time in my life I will be buying a new vehicle 41,000.00. Wish me luck.
Great video, I learned a few things about this truck. I have a deposit on a Rav4 XSE hybrid. But this week I'll be test driving a Maverick hybrid. Either vehicle will work for me, but I have to decide which one will work best. The difference between the XLT and Lariat base price is about $8500, so I'll only consider the XLT. According to my dealership the AWD models should arrive this coming Dec or Jan 2025.
Love my new Lariat in cactus gray with blackout and a perfect sunroof. Call it a Caruck but it is the best of both worlds and quite handy on the road.

The plug in back is good for an air compressor
Camping too

I got the same truck but will it hold up in the winter
what did you buy now that you sold the mav?
That's the video I'm working on right now! Have a few videos ready to go!
How much
How much…what?
Way too expensive. This was probably 45k. Can get a basic one for 26k. Lariat is not worth it
Hi 👋 who vehicle you pretend to Buy Now...? I hope to hear of you
Pretend? I'll tell you what I buy vs rent vs borrow
Did you sell the truck..New sub to your channel..
"Too small?" Bet you've heard that one before. 🤭
ROFLMAO
🤣
I would buy one if it was a two door. I have a car !
All these videos just to sell the truck 🤦🏾♂️ I was enjoying the videos man
Definitely didn’t plan it out this way, nobody wants to sell something they’ve owned for less than a year
Probably one of the worst car reviewers I’ve ever seen lol. Man this was boring and bizarre
28 year old f 150 owner here. 250 k on it. First off its not a truck. Its a car with a open back And you'll never get 28 years out of it.
