In this video I'll perform a reset of the Imaging Transfer Belt on a Samsung CLP-360, and I'll show you all the possible resets that you can do with the software shown. Be aware that the drum can be resetted through the software only if it didn't reach 0%, in that case you need to install a component inside the drum to clear the error.
The software shown is confidential, so you either read the address through my browser (if the site is still up) or find it in other ways, but I cannot redistribute it.

I took my printer appart to clean and to fix the paper pickup solenoid because it was only picking up paper once every 5 times, after it was asking to replace itb and fuser, this software fixed my printer thanks.

STILL WORKS! Today I reset all counters
I don't get the "clear count" menu, after "test routines" it goes back to 112-ACR Offset!!, I tried different drivers and always get the same results

Hola Paolo intento hacerlo en c430w pero no tuve éxito con ese modelo conoces otro método para poder realizar el reset de Transfer belt y el fusor gracias de antemano
worked instantly for me (clp365). Just unpacked the rar, gave that exe file these properties (compatibility mode & admin) and it worked. No need for searching a samsung driver path in programs ..

I have a clp 365 C43x Series. It doesn#t work. I can only switch between EDC Mode | 112-ACR Offfset | Test routines | NVM Initialize. No chance for any reset

Hi. I've replaced Drum unit and ITB unit but the printer still stays at red light saying ITB has got to be replaced. In EDC there is no Clear count menu (Only NVM initialize, Test routines and 112-ACR offset) . Any suggestions?

Hi and thank you for your step by step video. I have a CLP 365 and in the Samsung-folder there are not the 4 components of the EDC-files. Can you tell me where i have to copy? Cause when i move it into the main folder, there is no connection possible between printer and computer. Thanks a lot!

Hello Paolo, and thank you for very good instruction videos. I have a problem with a Samsung C460 printer, that would not grab the paper and said there was a paper jam. So after I watched your videos on solving similar problems on other Samsung printers, I assumed that the cause of the problem was in the solonoid (?) thing. So I started disconnecting the whole printer following your instructions, and managed to release the solonoid. But looking at it, it seemed to work perfectly, not being sticky and not locking itself in neither the open nor the closed situation. So the mechanical part seems to work exactly as you showed it should when it is proper. That leaves the possibility that there is something wrong with the the electronic bit, which is somewhat hard for me to check, as I don't think I have access to a 24 volt currency source. So right now I am a bit confused, it was a whole lot of work to disconnect the printer, and probably it will not be easier to put it together again. So should I try to buy a new solonoid and put that in instead ? (That implies finding someone who has it in stock an can deliver it, a short survey on the web shows that it might be not very easy.) Or should I just put back the old one, that seems to be OK, and see what happens when I have put the whole thing together again ? I guess I will go for this last option, but it would be interesting to read your comments to it.
Other videos I have seen suggests that the problem might be solved by simply cleaning and lubricating the roller wheel in the middle of the cylinder that moves the paper. I did not try that, as I had hard to imagine that it could be that simple. But I will anyway clean up all parts of the printer before I put it together again, hoping that will do it.
Nope, my solenoid was open and looked perfect. But it was not perfect, after putting superglue on the pads, waiting for them to dry - still nothing. Then I bent the metal piece (the "stopper") so it wouldn't open as far AND put a v-shaped piece of paper in between so the pads couldn't contact - then it finally worked! Been working flawlessly for hundreds of pages now with no problem for years. I guess the pads was just a little worn down so the distance became too long and they were still (unnoticeable) sticky so the solenoid stayed open for a millisecond too long. Now it works perfect! Btw, "paper jam 1" is not an error message for when the roller is worn.
Also there is a small spring in the clutch-wheel that the solenoid releases - even if the solenoid works perfect, the spring can be compressed too much by wear. I had to stretch that spring a little bit.

Transfer belt is the problem in my printer, it reached 0 already (red led blinking) then I guess that is the reason the software did not work; actually, when the exe file runs, it displays the EDC window but all empty without any menu and I am getting a message of "Error sending command to the printer". And now, in 2022, a new transfer belt is almost impossible to be located and, it it can be located, it will be outrageously expensive...
Hi! Try running the software in compatibility mode with Windows XP SP2, also the printer has to be connected via USB to the PC. :)

I tried to download the EDC files from the site you provided and received a PHISHING alert message from Microsoft saying that site was not safe!
clearly showed it works, if you don't want to proceed that way you can search for EDC elsewhere or take the printer to someone who can reset it.

Hi! You don't need any software for that model, you can use the built in "Tech Mode" inside of the printer. It's a hidden menu, you can search for the Service Manual online, it describes how to enter the tech mode and reset maintenance parts. As it's a confidential document I cannot send you the service manual, but you can find it by simply searching on google for "Samsung clp 680 service manual pdf"
@@PaoloMarcelli I'm in "Tech mode" but can't find anything about reseting in the manual, it just says that I need to replace the Transfer Belt Unit for a new one. Is it possible to reset?
Salve, non riesco ad effettuare l'hard reset di una CLP 365W. Ho trovato il software di gestione EDC ma mi da "errore di comunicazione con la stampante". Un aiuto per favore.

I was struggling. I downloaded the first 2 files (but they sit in downloads. Nothing in Samsung Program Files). I installed Yandex - nothing much happened ( it is not clear what it does) but it needs a membership to "Log in with Yandex ID". I installed a driver I already had. In fact all that was needed was to open EDC from downloads, turn on printer and wait. Managed to clear the numbers but my printer has deeper problems probably related to the fuser unit (who numbers did not clear). Interesting 2 hours though

This was incredibly helpful but I will this EDC work on other Samsung printers or is it specific to this model? I have a C430W that has this same exact issue and can't find an EDC specific to my printer model.

Yes exactly. I have C430W too and it does not show clear counts menu. I tried on win 11, win 10 and windows XP. No result

Ciao Paolo, per caso sai come posso fare in modo che una stampante CLP365W non controlli lo stato i codici dei chip dei toner? Al momento mi dice che il magenta non ha un chip compatibile ma la cartuccia è nuova e mai usata e non voglio acquistarne un'altra... Grazie mille

The error code means that there's a problem with the Deve Home Sensor
1) Turn the machine off then on. If the error persists, turn the machine off again.
2) Remove the right cover.
3) Check the connection between the deve home sensor and connection board.
4) If the connection is OK, replace the deve home sensor.
If you can search online for the service manual, it's a confidential document and I cannot legally share it.
Grazie, intanto! La mia ha bucato il counter del tamburo (me lo dice la diagnostica Samsung) , spia rossa fissa, non stampa nulla; e la procedura ECD non funziona ("write error" e "error sending command to the printer"). Any suggestion?
Ciao! Per il tamburo EDC lo puoi usare solo prima che arrivi allo 0%, c'è una procedura diversa (non tramite software) per resettare il livello del tamburo quando arriva a 0 ma non ci ho fatto video ancora, forse lo farò in futuro :)

Does not work for me... there is no Clear count Submenu in my case. I've replaced drum nad ITB and cannot reset ITB :/

Purtroppo non essendo un centro assistenza, persino per le mie riparazioni mi tocca cercare le parti di ricambio online su vari siti come tutti, non ho parti di ricambio in stock per quasi nessuna stampante, le ordino quando necessario.
Puoi cercarne una su siti come ebay (sia .it che .com), AliExpress, oppure acquistarne una nuova presso un centro assistenza autorizzato Epson.

CIAO, nella mia clp 360 ora non mi risconosce piu nessun toner si sono accese tutte le spie, c'è un modo x resettarla? penso di non avere aggiornato il firmware, mi è successo dopo aver installato il toner yellow.
Ciao! Non puoi resettare un errore di mancato rilevamento di un toner, è un po' come se a una persona gli tagli una mano e gli chiedi se può non sentire più dolore per magia XD
Prova rimuovendo e reinserendo i toner uno per volta, vedi quale ti da il problema e sostituiscilo.

La stessa cosa per Brother è disponibile?
Per brother il tamburo lo resetti seguendo delle indicazioni che variano da modello a modello, cerca "drum reset brother [modello stampante]", per il reset delle altre parti puoi farlo da Service Mode, e vedi sul service manual dello specifico modello di stampante tutte le indicazioni su come fare, comunque fai tutto dalla stampante, non servono software.
