I WANT TO SEE YOUR PANCAKES!!! So tag me on Instagram :D Although, no matter how many times you make this - or any other protein pancake recipe - I'll still be the champ 😉
Great recipe! I made a few modifications: 1. Stevia!! Makes it taste so much sweeter!!! 2. Nonfat greek yogurt instead of cottage cheese. So moist and creamy. 3. Stevia Chocolate Chips! THIS MAKES IT SO MUCH BETTER OMG. REMINDS ME OF MY CHILDHOOD 4. A squirt of sugar-free syrup to give the batter a nice smell and flavor 5. A pinch of salt for good measure. Brings out the butteriness
@@aestheticb3an577 what are you talking about? NF greek yogurt is basically pure protein. Just because the dude adds probably 100 cals in chocolate chips doesn't make it bad.
If you want to eat macro-friendly pancakes, you have to know that they never are going to taste like an original buttermilk fluffy pancake. However, this protein pancakes are the best ones that i have tried before, they're simply amazing! I'm enjoying an amazing macro-friendly protein breakfast right now.
This is definitely not suitable for people who are lactose intolerant. Probably fine for everyone else but I think I would prefer to use whole eggs, as they are nutritious. Plus ground Almonds & Almond milk. No-good if you don't like Almonds of course. All the best.
This is literally the best protein pancake recipe I have ever made hands down. And even though the volume is not huge it’s still very filling + the moisture is perfect 🔥
This recipe is legit! Perfect consistency & tastes great! My 1st attempt at 1 giant pancake looked like a Pintrest fail, but multi pancakes were perfect.
Typically those who are lactose intolerant like myself are intolerant to lactose, as the name implies. I've never heard of a whey protein powder with lactose in it and cottage cheese has very low lactose content.
I made these today. They are incredible. I never thought I would be able to eat pancakes on my diet. They are so close to the real thing! Thank you so much!
Had ACL reconstruction and I have been in the gym ever since they re-opened from the pandemic, trying to make my legs stronger to prevent injury. Eating a lot of protein and still enjoying meals has been a little challenging, so I thank you very much for this! Getting creative over here! Eating them right now. Used cassava flour because it was all my local store had, but they’re AMAZING! THANK YOU!
I made this and it was really good! Not as good as a real pancake, but the best PROTEIN pancakes I've ever had. This recipe was waaaay too much for me though. I'm going to do half the recipe and it will be perfect. Toss on some Walden Farms zero cal pancake syrup and it will be bomb! Since it's so low fat, I think I'll add a slice of thick, crumbled bacon into the batter for that sweet and salty ;)
For anyone new watching this or rewatching, for all the ingredients that he uses it comes out to 824 calories. Could be more depending on what syrup you use.
OK so I was such a sceptic at first. I thought there was no way you could make protine pancakes that basically perfectly match real pancakes. But my goodness was I ever wrong! These were delicious and actually tastated like real pancakes! I'm so impressed!
So glad I found this video! I tried a protein pancake recipe before this, but it just tasted like burnt eggs. The only thing I changed in the recipe is the coconut flour to gluten free all purpose flour. Just subscribed, and now I’m gonna look through your other videos!
I was craving for pancakes but still on diet so I tried this recipe and... Oh, my god! Just delicious and very healthy!!! Love it! Thks for sharing Joe!!!
The amount of food from this recipe is insane. 800 Calories and over 80 grams of protein. I made it with the yogurt and threw some cinnamon in there but it was delicious. Thank you.
Joe... I luv your recipe 😁 I had to tweak it a little because I had berry flavored protein powder...then for fun I threw in a 1/4 cup of raspberries. They came out fantastic!!! It reminded me of eating pancakes 🥞 with strawberry syrup...A Million Thank You’s 😁
I don’t really comment on videos but this is fucking insane. I wanted a simple low calorie high protein pancake that tasted good. I got too sick of Kodiak cakes. This has blown it completely out of the water. Joe this recipe is absolutely amazing tasting better than a lot of unhealthy pancakes themselves. If your contemplating making these do it. Credit is needed where credit is due. Amazing job
They’re awesome! The only thing I have to say is that u can taste the coconut (but I kinda like it) and they’re r a bit dry after so I’m gonna try adding a quarter cup of milk to the batter
305PROTEIN shut the fuck up. I hate wen u dumbass broscientists spew bullshit and convince others on ur myths. Go study biology and tell me why the body cant process 82g of protein
305PROTEIN you are right , these people are ignorant. Your body can only digest 35 grams within 3 hours. Anything more will literally be turned into shit.
I changed your recipe up a little bit, but they are so delicious! I never thought to sneak cottage cheese into the pancakes, which makes the protein go way up for my macros. Thanks for posting this.
i use 2 eggs, a half of a banana, and 1/4 cup of oats and blend. perfect and simple for anyone who needs help. use some type of low fat toppings. for example, low fat syrup, sugar free hershey’s chocolate sauce, etc. hope i could help someone.
I tried it, turned into Jonathan Joestar. It may be the fact that I am a schizophrenic and a weeb but I am convinced that I am now Jonathan Joestar which is the first JoJo in the anime JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. I've always fantasized about becoming Jonathan Joestar. Ever since I shot up my last school things just haven't been going well for me. And watching JoJo was the only thing that brought up my spirits.... Oh yeah nice video btw!
I am lactose intolerant too. Butter only adds a trace amount of lactose. Could be the high fat content in butter that bothers you. Most of us have more trouble with cottage cheese made from cow's milk. ps Coconut flour thickens quickly - add it in a gradual amount
Just suggestion. Take your favorite coconut oil about 1/2 cup and buy a good quality butter extract such as LorAnn Butter Natural Bakery Emulsion, just a few drops to the coconut oil and you have butter flavored coconut oil which is a great healthy fat with no dairy fats.
This is definitely the best tasting and most similar consistency to normal pancakes. Even better with chocolate chips. If you own a NutriBullet just blend shake blend, and the batter comes out perfect.
Joe thanks a lot , can’t wait to try it ! Question: what replacement of flour would you consider for coconut flour ? Is there are other good choice ? Thank you :)

Adding the ingredients up I’d guess somewhere in the 575-600 calorie region for the WHOLE recipe, which if you only have say a quarter of isn’t a bad amount for a nice hit of protein 🤷🏻♂️
I tried making these pancakes this morning, I had all the ingredients besides the egg whites. So I used 2 whole eggs instead. I’m guessing that’s why they all crumbled when I went to flip them 😩😩 I’ll try again another morning with the 6 egg whites lol ,, the taste was there tho, 👌🏻
Have you ever used pea protein? It is more dense and absorbent..if you are trying to stay nut and dairy free it’s a good sub ,but haven’t been able to find a good recipe
Great recipe. I've made a bunch of Protein pancakes in my time. However, I just find that not putting the protein in the mixture, instead having it as a shake or combined with Greek yogurt is a better alternative. As we know, protein powder doesn't cook well and somewhat congeals or becomes rubbery, so I just avoid it in cooking. Will try this recipe though when in the mood for pancakes.
Giorgio, when you give this a go let me know what you think! I think you might be pleasantly surprised with how the protein powder cooks in this recipe :) Cheers to a great tasting pancake!

Im the same way...milk hurts my tummy but cottage cheese is OK
And the whey protein 🤣
Righr
Cheeses have less lactose, and there are lactose free cottage cheeses. Whey protein also has less lactose especially if isolate is used
