This is a great pancake recipe, thank you. My mother, who died @ age 95, used to make delicious and pluffy pancakes. Unfortunately I didn’t pay attention when she’s making it and forgot to ask her her recipe. I made it, in a hurry and my daughter with my 2 granddaughters, including me, loved the pancakes, eating all it for lunch. Thumbs up 👍

A BIG mistake everyone makes with this recipe is not resting the batter for 15 minutes. You have to give the buttermilk time to work on the baking soda and create air bubbles. If you want the fluffiest pancakes, rest your batter for 15 minutes before cooking on the griddle. I use just a little more liquid so it is batter and not so thick. Thanks for enlightening the viewers with a great recipe.

Put jam/jelly or ham/sausage like a sandwich. Our family loves the crepes filled with whipped cream and berries.

I did not come from a family of cooks, you just made due, UNFORTUNATELY I really never had an interest as I learned best by observation and even with ALL the cooking shows available now most are still too complicated if you have no baseline...you've encouraged me GREATLY... Your pie crust is going to be on my list ASAP...Im heading to your website to download your recipes!! Im SUPER EXCITED!!! BLESS YOU for your Kindness that translates through your podcast & your WISDOM...from someone much older than you!!! ❤ your new fan from the heart of Missouri

I completely understand about never having really learned to cook - if you don’t see someone cooking at home, it is definitely hard to learn! I try to keep my shoes very basic (but still delicious!) so anyone can follow along. Of course if you have any questions along the way, just let me know 😊 There are truly no stupid questions when you are learning to cook something new, so don’t be embarrassed to ask 🥰 Also if there’s anything you’ve always wanted to learn, or just a simple recipe that you’d like to try, send those ideas over! I’m planning some new shows to film in the fall and would love your ideas 👍🏻 Thanks for watching snd please stay tuned ❤️, Marie

Thanks Marie for the additional tips along with the wonderful recipe. I will add fresh blueberries next time to add a pinch of tarte. Fresh blueberries in upstate NY won't be ready for awhile. I can't wait that long. I'll just have to make these again and again.

Pancakes are near and dear to my heart. You touched on all the points I've known til now, but somehow I hadn't heard about acid for leavening. Thank you for that.
I once took a job at a hostel in Australia, cooking pancakes for 200 people every morning. We would mix the batter the night before in a 5 gallon bucket with an industrial drill and cement mixer.
One of the best jobs I've ever had.
Everyone loves the pancake guy! 🤷
