Loving that i5 8400T and 6600XT undervolted for low power idea. Can't wait for that video! You should try and build a fully passive PC with that 8400T and fanless GT1030. It'll draw so little power that a "fan stop" PSU wouldn't even kick the fan on.
@@darthwiizius of course it would. Find a 6600XT at msrp and then try and find a 3060ti at msrp. A 3060ti was/is about $300 more though in AU. Looking forward to the Asus X99 xeon build. I managed to snag one of those same boards with a xeon e5 2683 V3 14 core but I swapped that out for a 1680 V3 for some OC fun. Just need time to pull my X58 with xeon 5675 out of the case and put this in 😀 Downside is I then really need to find something to replace my old Radeon 6990 dual gpu

My suggestion is take the case all apart paint the inside all black, little primer and sand before, is gonna be new again! Brian what are you methodology to test old hard drives? I’m getting a lot fault hd and is hard to miss the deal for hard drives but if half is not working is a pain…
bought a 1050 ti (a dual fan from asus) for $40 back in mid 2019. put that in my bro's system. he doesn't game much so it's fine. then in late 2019 i was able to snag a pristine 580 8gb nitro+ (complete) for frickin' $120 - currently in my build. these two are best deals i've gotten considering the prices today.

Great video sir. I'd recently been revamping some older machines to extend the life of older OS's and Apps. Had a crashed P4 2.4 Ghz circa 2002 and got hold of a new Intel D845GERG2/D845PECE Socket 478 from the same period with driver disc and all. Works fine. Dropped in a HDD I thought was gone with Win 98 SP2 and hello, it worked again. GPU is New unused 440 also works a treat. Ok, old gear, but I got some extra life with my Win 98 apps. Yeah, i just snagged a 10pack of (Gigabyte NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Gaming Rev 2 Overclocked) cards for $460 a piece. Epic deal of course. I'm also waiting on another stack of ASUS 6800XT TUF's for $1K each. Can't lose with the new TUF series.
