You seem really happy in this video. I missed your hair care videos, but I understand why you had to have a break. It’s nice to see you with this much energy again.❤
I'm sorry you're not doing so great lately. I think most of us really do care about you and your well-being. I'm sorry if there are people that make negative comments about you giving us updates on your health. The ones that do that kind of thing must be heartless or self-centered, maybe even narcissists😢. I pray for your good health, Courtney. Your hair looks beautiful!
Subscriber of over 2 years here! Of course we care how you're doing! I really love using hairspray before diffusing! I find I get way more longevity and definition. One thing I personally enjoy doing is to detangle my hair with the shampoo lather after washing my scalp. I find detangling with shampoo before ever going in with conditioner helps the conditioner to penetrate, although I typically use a bond repair mask after shampoo and before conditioner.
Your hair is gorgeous as usual! My 2A-B hair gets soooooooooo stretched out after I work out in a with a ponytail. You hair is still so pretty out of a ponytail/pineapple. And as others have said, we care how you're doing! So sorry to hear that your RA has been worse of late. Hope you feel better!
Your clumps were gorgeeeeoouussss!! I’m gonna try it now because I can’t bring myself to buy the $$$ brush you mentioned!! These videos are my favorite because they inspire me to try with my wavy hair without breaking the bank 🏦 Thank you and I hope you start feeling better soon 🩵 Your online community loves yah!!
Hey! Your channel helps me so much! Just thought I'd throw this hunt out there.... Instead of a comb I use a plastic pick ( hair pick) to do the "brush styling" when I want smaller curl clumps. I find with the pick I can achieve that gentle tension s bit better! Thanks for all you do! Prayers❤
Hi Courtney from the UK I have just tried the Merwave products set its only in the UK and it's designed for us wavy girls I used it yesterday for the first time and Wow it made my waves go from 2a / 2b to 2c ive got so much defined curls and volume and my hair is not weighed down this is my best ever hair wash .Great video as always ❤
I am in the UK too and have 2A/2B. I have been thinking about using the Merwave products. So very glad you posted this and I am definitely going to try them now. X
I would love to see a video about how you manage the organization of your products and deal with disposing empty bottles or products you tried and didn't like. I know in trying to figure out what will work for my hair I just acquire so many half used bottles! I don't want to be wasteful or contribute to environmental damage so I just kind of procrastinate on dealing with them which, shockingly, doesn't solve the problem 😂
Have you heard of the ion spray gel from Sally’s? I just bought it but have not used it yet. I’m very excited for gel in spray form. I hope it lives up to my expectations.
Hi Courtney. I always enjoy your videos. You are refreshing and down to earth! What is the mousse you used? I didn't see the name listed and can't make it out on the video. Thanks!
I appreciate you updating us on how you're doing! I hope this flare is a short one, curl friend. ❤ If you have any thoughts on how product choices may change as you go from damaged to healthy hair, I'd love to hear your commentary. I tried the kinky kurly curling custard when my hair was more damaged. It did not work. It actually did nothing. Now that my hair is healthy, I wonder if trying it again (and/or other products from that phase that didn't work) might be worth it.
Courtney, have you watched Lenora Santana on UA-cam? She is a hairstylist and uses a hair spray called Aerogel? It amazing/A+. Please use it in an upcoming video. Thank you for all your help in our hair care journey.
Love this video!❤ the only question I have is did putting all these products in ur hair weigh it down or cause ur scalp to feel greasy? I have thin wavy hair so I don't think I could use all these products without my hair looking greasy, but the results on you are beautiful ❤
My hair didn’t feel greasy or weighed down. But I only used a tiny bit of product. If I were using any one of these products on their own, I would’ve used quite a bit more. But because I was combining them all together I only used a fraction of each one. I hope that makes sense!
Actually Sweet girl your You Tube Family out here REALLY does CARE about your RA/health!!!! 🙏🙏 Your hair looks BEAUTIFUL!!! LORD BLESS YOU 🩷🙏 Tj ur Sister in JESUS from the heart of MO
Love this! But sadly the V&Co wavy shampoo and conditioner set was terrible for my hair - one of the worst things I’ve ever used. 😞I wanted it to work so badly! I bought it because of you and another curly influencer and I didn’t change anything else (used all the same products that I love best), but the V&Co set dried my hair horribly and gave me one of the worst wash days I’ve ever had. Then I saw reviews about hair loss and damage. I returned it, and I’ve rarely returned a product.
Oh no, I'm so sorry to hear that, and I'm definitely going to take your feedback into consideration! Have you tried the other shampoo and conditioner that I recommended in this video? The Pacifica oat milk?
@@SwavyCurlyCourtney I haven’t tried the Pacifica Oat Milk shampoo and conditioner yet, but I love Pacifica products in general so that set is next on my list!❤️
Hi Courtney! Do you have a troubleshoot video? I don't have a diffuser so by the time my hair dries the curls just fall out, like I are weighed down :( also in the transition phase as I'm just starting out y curly girl journey!
I do the exact same thing with putting the hairspray on between plopping and drying. Lately I'm obsessed with the combo of Garnier Fructis leave in conditioner, Verb foaming gel, Garnier hair gel, and Garnier hair spray. Then I air dry to about halfway dry which gives me the strongest cast. Then diffuse and scrunch out the crunch with Garnier hair oil. I get killer curl clumps ( and like you I'm more of a wavy girl probably 2b/2c) and my hair always looks SO shiny!!!
@@SwavyCurlyCourtney People like you have inspired me to embrace and love my wavy hair. There was lots of trial and error to get to my current routine lol but it was worth it. I think you have about convinced me though that I really need to try out the Not Your Mother's brand!!! Your hair looks so good
I thought finishing hairspray was meant to be used on dry hair? Is the pacifica one not a finishing spray? I use Devacurl so I am not familiar with the pacifica one.
So I need some help Courtney lol. I've tried all the products and my hair is still frizzy frizzy frizzy. I don't have money to spend on a hair course or a bunch of products that just don't work. What could the problem be? I don't like the way it looks and don't know what to do.
My girl friends hair dresser says that curly hair should be cut dry and told her to wash it well the mourning of her appointment and make sure it was completely dry when she comes in in what are your thoughts? Should curly hair be cut dry, wet or freshly washed?
Hey Courtney!!! Random question, but I would really appreciate your input. 😊 What do Kinky-Curly hair products smell like to you? Specifically the Curling Custard and Knot Today leave-in/detangler. I live with someone who is sensitive to fragrance, especially tropical scents. I cannot find a good answer as to what it smells like online, but I trust your opinion!!! ❤ It is fairly easy finding fragrance free shampoo and conditioner (also love the Kristin Ess fragrance free deep treatment mask), but leave-in products are a lot harder to find. My natural hair tangles easily and is dull, but I cannot afford to splurge on Curlsmith's Shine Line right now. Kinky-Curly seems to be my next best option... 😅 Edit: I have a second question actually. Can I use regular conditioner as a leave-in or would that somehow damage my hair? Like... are there certain ingredients in normal conditioner that should not stay on hair longterm?
I would say it smells like sweet, vanilla cinnamon! It does not have a tropical scent whatsoever. Also, I would not leave rinse out conditioner on the hair. Regular conditioner tends to be slightly acidic in pH. Which, if left on the hair for a long period of time, could potentially cause some wear to the hair cuticle.
Thank you so much for replying!!! That makes a lot of sense about conditioner too. You have a wonderful way of explaining things. I am glad you have branched out to showing skincare, recipes, storytimes, your testimony, etc. It is amazing that you can film videos and still spend time running and being with horses!!! You would not want to film a time management video, would you? 😅❤😂
