    Super great information I just did a comfrey infusion and oil. I just used olive oil. I had a tailbone injury…. anyways, I didn’t realize about taking out the spines mind you they were smaller leaves than what you had and I did let them wheels for two days and then just chop them up put them in the oil left them on the counter and then put them in the cupboard and then eventually now I’m just keeping it in the fridge so that it doesn’t go rancid because I did smell a little something, but I don’t think it really affects it, so it kind of brought back once I put it in the fridge so yeah anyways great information to know about a warm bath infusion and apricot oil that’s great

      Thanks so much! Comfrey does have an earthy smell to it naturally. If it was rancid you would not be guessing! Trust me. Lol. Sounds like you made a great little oil there.

    Ot new to herself medicines. Grandma was a nature Patrick as well.as a nurse, unfortunately my Dad got rid of all her books and notebooks without telling me. So question , I just cooked down some elderberries and there were some tiny stems still attached but the juice was done 3 to 1 water and it was double strained do.only the juice remains., is it going to be ok even though there were tiny stems in when cooking?

      For liability reasons I can't say for sure... but I will say this. I think it is almost impossible to not have stems! I have had stems in my syrup and I felt perfectly comfortable consuming it. The highest concentrations are in the root and large twigs :)

    Would castor oil be appropriate?

    • @SpiraeaHerbs
      @SpiraeaHerbs  5 днів тому +1

      It could be a great choice. Castor oil helps the constituents penetrate into the tissues BUT it does take a long time to absorb.

      @@SpiraeaHerbs could you gently warm it double-boiler style? Maybe for only a couple hours to get the infusion process started?
