This was a great video. I'm glad you left it all intact. Shows that even the best make mistakes and we can all laugh together. Maybe too many sips of the other drinks before the penicillin.
The Bourbon Renewal was amazing. Its just so amazing on every level. Used Wild Turkey 101 and it did not disapoint me or my guests. They were skeptical of bourbon in a cocktail but that and a Boston Sour made them come around to it.
Thanks for another great video! Luckily you had a good seal in the shaker 😀 I have made about half of these cocktails but luckily I got two new and very interesting recipes from this video: Good Enough Gatsby and Avenue Scotch.
You know why you get flack in the comments about using Eagle Rare as a mixer ... the other day I was stopping in a newish liquor store in my area and they had 2 bottles on the shelf behind the counter. I asked - $90. No wonder they were still sitting on the shelf! Must have been nice working at a bar that did enough business that the distributor kept you supplied in a hard to find bourbon.
I've definitely been burned by whisky cocktails as I find the bourbon always gets lost or clashes badly. About the only one I do is an Old Fashioned, and it has to be done RIGHT. Otherwise, as a lover of whisky, I just sip it neat.
Kinda surprised the mint julep didn’t make an appearance here (though I never make mine with whiskey). Regardless, this is a lovely list, very well put together. Gotta love Sam Ross, the guys a wizard with cocktails.
I didnt want to feature to many really well known or classic recipes. So i left the mint julep, manhattan & old fashioned off of the list. Though i love them as cocktails
The look on your face while shaking that penicillin... fair play to you for leaving that in. Great video as always man
Great Job Lui !!!!
You should do a Whiskey Tier list, I enjoyed the tequila one.
I may do that soon! I just need a few more whiskeys to round out the number i have
@@Lui_Fern sweet man, have a good one. Cheers to tiers 🥂
@@Macedra cheers!
@@Lui_Fern please add uncles nearest, and gentlemen’s Jack to that list

Thanks for this one Lui - Loved it. I am going to try a few of these (and also make variations using Tequila instead of Bourbon)

The minor screw up with the shaker was funny a hell, cuz it happened to me twice already😅.
Hahahaha happy you enjoyed it 😂
Great video I am going to try the Penicillin for sure.
Old fashioned’s are my favorite. With Don Lockwood a close second.
Whiskey vid W. I prefer tequila and scotch these days but i love whiskey cocktails
Loved this video! 😋👍
Thanks friend 😁🙏
Interesting recipes.. I have to try them, but in the future put them in milliliters as well...👍🍸
Thats exactly what i said when you pulled out the Eagle Rare 🤬🤣 nice one Lui
Excellent video. Bonus points for bobbling the shaker. (You're the only person that's ever happened to.)

Now I have plenty of recipes to use up my bottles I don't care to sip neat.
Old Fashions are delicious
Eagle Rare is good. It’s not good enough to be considered too sacred for a cocktail.
Lui - need an egg for that NY Sour!

@@Lui_Fern fair point, I suppose seeing something so classically constructed would stand out pretty hard against all these modern classics. Good idea!
Blackberry is completely different berry than cassis= black currant. Taste is miles apart
Wtf is an allocated bottle?
old and boring? manhattan and old fashioned? yeah, dislike, bye :D
