Nope, not worth the money, bracelet isn't great and the small seconds doesn't suit this style of watch, thr previous model on leather and rubber looks way better, the Aqua terra shouldn't cost more than 3.5 - £4k

Hi Adrian. I have the 41m 2021 Aqua Terra with white dial, on the grey rubber deployment clasp with orange stitching to match the accents on the dial..... Bought end of Nov 2021... It's a great watch. Prefer it personally to the new small seconds. But real point is: Super classy. Brilliant build. Dress up or down. Your choice. Most of all. 8900 movement is awesome! I set this watch on 2/12/21. It's now 43 days later and it's running +2... NOT a day, but in 43 days!!!! That's GS spring drive in a coaxial mechanical .... Just amazing... Cheers.
I am one of those who chose the 41mm over the Explorer 39mm. I have the blue hands/ indices and silver dial AT. It is stunning in design, finish and exceptional movement. I haven’t seen anybody else wearing this model whereas I see an Explorer fairly regularly. I am so happy with my choice.
I have the original 15,000 Gauss (bumblebee) Aqua Terra and love it. It looks good with a suit or jeans, so universal. Not keen on the small seconds personally, but they are awesome pieces.
I’ve had the 38mm Aqua Terra cal 8800 for about a year, and I actually love the quick date function over the quick hour (the only functional difference between the 38mm and 41mm versions). It is more practical if you don’t wear your watch for a couple days and need to more quickly set the date. Otherwise fully agree, it’s a great watch you never grow out of, and the design/movement is brilliant. Cheers Adrian! Thanks for showing this stunner
The Aqua Terra all day long for me. My father just picked up the blue 38mm (no small seconds), and it's brilliant. He has a slightly bigger wrist than my 7-1/4" wrist, but felt the 41 was a bit too sporty sized, and preferred the dressier size of the 38mm. I can't argue with that at all. I had the AT on my lister for consideration for a big purchase this year, but now it's off the table as that will one day (hopefully many, many years from now) be coming to me. I'll get something else, of which there is no shortage of great watches to choose. I'm not overly into the small seconds version of this watch, but it's a cool addition. My only complaints would be I'd prefer a fully brushed bracelet, and secondly an adjustable clasp. That's it. Oh, and I am one of those people sad the 39mm Explorer was discontinued. I tried a pre-owned one on recently, and it was brilliantly sized. So comfortable on wrist. I just don't think it's worth the prices they're going for now.
I chose both an Aqua Terra and Planet Ocean! Love them both equally! Magnificent timepieces! Great review and I agree with everyone of your points and criticisms. Have a great weekend
Generally speaking - with a few exceptions - I'm not keen on small seconds. I enjoy watching the seconds hand sweep across the dial. This is tastefully done, though. I'm not quite sure how I come down on it vs. the previous version.
Not keen on the Seamaster 300 frankly, but the Aqua Terra 41, original or small seconds, is in a class of its own. The time zone function is particularly useful, especially for us here in England. To clarify, I think this watch is excellent. 😀
Well done, thanks for reviewing, As an owner of the 8900 version of this, your review compliments my thoughts. One thing I would like to add here is Omega's choice of diverse colours in the range of small seconds, not just on the dial but the rubber straps that compliment them. This reflects itself across the line of the small seconds and especially into the Sedna gold versions where I think the blue dial and rubber strap really shine.
I have both Seamaster Diver 300 and Aqua Terra 41mm (three hands). Both blue, but the blue is quite different. Love them. Prefer the three-hander over the small seconds for its clean and elegant design. Also the big second hand is more useful than the small one.
Absolutely love it! My issue with the seamester, is that I think the bracelet is hideous. If it came on a more traditional bracelet like this one, I would have already owned a seamester.
Another measurement that would be great, is the effective clasp length. Like the BB58, the actual clasp length is way longer than the case lug-to-lug. It's a large comfort issue.

Love the 41mm standard Aqua Terra and the rubber strap is I think the very best rubber strap on the market today. The Aqua Terra lineup really is fantastic - and really good looking!

My wife and I bought Aqua Terra.mine -38 mm with gold bezel and crown. It also has a blue rubber strap with gold Center inlay at the pin. Hers is 36 mm so I with white porcelain wave Dial and stainless bracelet with butterfly clasp. I now consider my Aqua Terra my go to fun watch! I know my wife loves hers as she wears it every day. The watches are very versatile and easily attainable. I love the fact that you can get them anyway you want. All in all I think Omega did a great job! I would highly recommend this watch. Go through the catalog and get it the way you want it. I got lucky they had just what I wanted at my local A.D.
I love the 38mm Aqua Terra but wish it also had the jumping hour feature on that size. Only the previous generation had the jumping hour and you’re so right it is soooo much more useful than a quick set date imo
I absolutely love the white dial and blue hour markers. The small seconds complication.... i can do without. This is my favorite watch and I think it could be my do it all.
I went into the Omega retailer recently to check out this exact watch. I’m not sure if this was just my personal experience but they were freely willing to knock off 300 from the price with little negotiation. Something to perhaps bare in mind with the price tag. I do really like this watch but the date interrupting the small seconds is something aesthetically I don’t know if I can get my head around.
Tried this on today along with the blue on the rubber . It is superb , gorgeous and sits beautifully . My only issue is deciding which one to go for . As an OP41 and datejust 41 owner I think I am far more impressed by this . The dial is simple but yet beautiful and also very interesting. Agree my smp 300 won’t be going anywhere either but I feel this is a must .
I enjoy your reviews very much. I never was to interested in watches. They were just something I thought I needed like a pair of shoes. But now I can appreciate Quality watches for what they are. I recently bought an Omega Seamaster 300 M Blue dial and I am extremely happy with it. I like everything about it. I like hearing things about this watch, comparisons ect. Thanks.
The Aqua Terra 41’s have the 8900 series movement with the time zone function while the Railmaster, SMP300, and AT 38’s have the 8800 series movement that doesn’t have that feature. That is part of the price difference. And then it looks like the small seconds design would cost more than a center seconds since there’s more to construct.
Actual a small seconds is cheaper, its driven directly off the seconds wheel rather than through a central pinion gear. Small seconds were the first seconds complication
Great review and video as always, Adrian! Completely agree with you on the clasp design features and lack of adjustment. Although the watch is stunning and technically superb, it is precisely that what has kept me from buying it.
I went to a boutique to buy a Planet Ocean, and walked out with the Silver and blue Aqua Terra. If there had been a small seconds version there, I would have bought that. But in no way am I unhappy with what I have. Worth every penny.
Love the Aqua Terra but I think I prefer the non small seconds. Your spot on about the bracelet though Adrian all brushed makes more sense as would an adjustable clasp. Came close to buying one but they are a little pricey even pre-owned. Oh I do prefer that to the Seamaster but the price difference is still a mystery to me.
Love it. But one thing a love about mechanical watches is watching the seconds hand to slowly sweep around the dial. With small seconds that goes away (or at least shrinks substantially). Tough choice
This watch is beautiful and I tried on this exact model last month at my AD. It is the ideal 1 watch collection. FYI: the lug to lug is approx. 47mm, not 52mm. Wonderfully executed video, Adrian.
Hi Adrian, your content just gets better and better. As a lighting professional can I suggest you add a backlight in your studio? Having a backlight on your head and shoulders would just pull you out of the background a little bit. Keep the good stuff coming.
The AT is the perfect "one watch" for me. So much so I bought two: a quartz (on a NATO strap) to wear as a daily and a co-axial (blue, on a bracelet) for going out.
The way that the small seconds has that bold black surround makes it a modern feature. This aquaterra is a bold, sporty watch. So different from the SMP 300,which I have. And yes, I would have both.
That’s a beautiful watch! The close-up showed the raised markers and the stunning craftsmanship. I would easily choose the Omega over the Rolex, especially in this price range. Thanks for the video and for turning me on to my next watch!
The small seconds hand being modern like the rest of the handset is what keeps it sporty rather than adding to formality to my eye. Great content Adrian. Cheers.
My 2016 Rio-inspired Omega ‘Seamaster Aqua Terra 150m’ is one of the watches I nearly always reach for first. A second generation 41.5mm Aqua Terra on a Barton quick-release leather strap it’s incredibly comfortable and an absolute joy to wear (and look at)!
Big fan of Omega. I've often looked at the Aqua Terra to add to my collection, but never pulled the trigger. There was always something holding me back. This is actually one of the better small-seconds executions I've seen, but that bracelet/clasp combo is putting me off. For now I'll stick with my Speedy and Seamaster.
I had the exact same opinion on the clasp combo myself. But, I couldn't find an Omega or Rolex that I preferred. Ended up with the pearl white version. Very happy with it.
Beautiful watch in every way, extremely appealing. I do have the white smp 300 an actually became slightly underwhelmed recently because of the bracelet. Whacked it on a no time to die nato an now the watch has come alive. Just seems to tick every box, but I’d love the aqua terra for more dressy occasions especially with the tapering bracelet. Cheers 👍
Great video as always! Love Omega, love the Aqua Terra but always thought that they are best suited to Omega’s rubber strap option. Never been a fan of the bracelet, for the same reason/s you mentioned. Still prefer the model without sub seconds. It’s much cleaner and less cluttered which is the whole appeal of the AT, right? Not sure if people were ever crying out for a sub seconds dial....could be wrong...anyway...all fun stuff to chat about. Cheers.
Great review ... love the Aqua terra ... So much I got the grey dial with blued hands etc. But I also didn't like the bracelet so I went with the blue rubber strap and it's fabulous.
I just watched a SKX Pepsi bezel bleaching video you did in 2018. Great video then but your production and content has come on incredibly since 2018. Inspiring stuff.
Adrian I have the aqua terra 220 blue dial with the bracelet and the rubber strap in 38mm..awesome watch so happy to own it it is in my opinion the most good looking watch I have ever seen as an everyday watch by a country mile
Nice shot from Omega, but my preference goes to the Diver 300M: for me it is the best option in luxury sport watch, with amazing versatility due to its classy look. In any case, great video Adrian!
Very nice watch although, I totally agree with the criticism of the lack of bracelet extension or other way to micro adjust. This is the same one I have of Grand Seiko. Just unacceptable at their price points as I can never find a happy medium with my GS' bracelet and that's a shame considering the fine quality of their bracelets.
I have an older SMP 300 model 2354.50 & I won’t give that one up. I will say, the aqua terra is very nice. I will be picking up another Omega and I’m stuck between two. The Aqua Terra you showed and the new Railmaster. You should do a comparison video that would be awesome!!😁
I was never drawn to small seconds watches.. this one..after seeing this video..changed my mind .. i think i need to give a try to small seconds from now own.. although it will be some time till i get this particular one.. (addition to the grail watch collection.. tick! ) Keep up the great work Adrian. cheers!
I love the the new Aqua Terra. The white face with blue markers and small seconds is stunning. I don't think Ill ever give up my Seamaster Professional though. Both could happily live in my collection.
It actually is magical if you rub the bezel 3x counter clockwise and say “ seamaster, seamaster, make me a wish” then you get 3 wishes granted but you have to time it at 11:11 pm exactly

A very nice watch. Love Omega. Got one with 2500, quite nice and doesn't haveanti reflective coating on top of the glass thus doesn't scratch. Brushed bracelet and thin.
That's a beautiful watch. I currently have the AT 8900 41mm. The dial on the 8900 is a little bit cleaner for my tastes. Also own 2 other omegas and am more than happy. Omega makes great pieces and are a great bang per buck..

Great video, but are you sure it’s 52mm lug-to-lug, isn’t it between 47-48mm? I have the previous AT 41mm and I love it!!
Always so excited to watch new videos from you, Adrian.
Welcome back Adrian, glad you're on the mend after Covid 🙏
This is a super attractive watch. Great finishing and a great movement. Love the Aquaterra line!
the Small seconds is ABSOLUTELY STUNNING!
I have the 41 green and the 43 world timer, love them!
Wonderful review and great to see you back, Adrian! 👍🏻
Very happy to see some Omega content 👏 😀
Adrian I have the aqua terra 220 blue dial with the bracelet and the rubber strap in 38mm..awesome watch so happy to own it it is in my opinion the most good looking watch I have ever seen as an everyday watch by a country mile
I would choose the Aqua Terra all day long. Normal or small seconds.
(addition to the grail watch collection.. tick! ) Keep up the great work Adrian. cheers!
Still polished midlinks and no taper to 16mm. 2 reasons why I chose the BB58 last year over one of these. Beautiful dial layout though.
Seamaster AND aqua terra is the way to go, but buying the SMP300 first makes a lot more sense personally
I love the the new Aqua Terra. The white face with blue markers and small seconds is stunning. I don't think Ill ever give up my Seamaster Professional though. Both could happily live in my collection.
Have u got the new sea master ?
@@SGM805 No it's the older version 41mm, enamel face, applied logo and indices. I prefer this size.
@@gregwebb1107 the blue with the wave 🌊 dial or non wave? They sit very nice on the wrist don’t they, like a limpet “not as thick as the newer Omega “
@@SGM805 The black, non-wave. I thought it would be more versatile. It sits great on the wrist. I wore it to work today.
Phenomenal lightplay. The dial looks magic.
It actually is magical if you rub the bezel 3x counter clockwise and say “ seamaster, seamaster, make me a wish” then you get 3 wishes granted but you have to time it at 11:11 pm exactly
Recently sold my 39mm Explorer and got an omega AT instead. I don't miss the Explorer at all. The level of detail in the AT is just so impressive to me, and it's such an attractive looking watch!
Both!! My answer too Adrian…
Both. They are different watches, both executed brilliantly.
Both is the right answer!
So happy you did this video after requesting it a long time ago. Great review and go's well with your jeans and t shirt. Was worried about being a 41mm but it doesn't look too big on your wrist. Looks like a beautiful watch when in front of you.
Great review, hard choice I went with the Omega Seamster 300 2021. I think Omega are getting it very right with design and build quality plus you can actually buy one.
I agree the small seconds keeps the dial uninterrupted
Love it, but disagree on your bracelet preference, the polished is class. Great vid.
