Competition is good! Intel has not yet reduced prices but new Intel cpus have to have reasonable prices! Nvidia is slowly coming down with ”super” cards but both of those companies definily need to reduce prices to be competative.... and that is so good!
Most of the time I have no idea what everyone is talking about with all this tech lingo. But I enjoy watching these videos.
I wouldn't worry, just buy what you can afford & enjoy the games you play with it. Custom cards give better acoustics, that's about it. The performance difference is negligible, I'm not sure why people can't seem to admit that. I call anything
Bottom line: you need to buy a submarine!...
I would avoid some cards. The XFX Thicc II, for instance, has serious issues such as not spinning up fans until reaching 100C and reporting 65535 as a temperature (a 16-bit max value). That should never have passed quality control. I say this because it's big on Amazon right now at $369.

Just finished bitwit's video on this GPU and now Jay's take on this bad boy, this is a good day for me.
Ayyy, same. This card is looking quite interesting but if what Jay is saying about these cards being like Ryzen, I think I can hold off with my r9 390 for a while longer...
Timmy Joe did one with a Byski water block as well. And was getting a OC of 2.25Ghz
From Bitwit's review:
"Regarding the driver issues - Once the system began crashing I ran DDU and reinstalled the latest 19.8.1 drivers to no avail. Still more crashing than Lyle's driving record. After shooting and editing the entire video I decided to run DDU again for the hell of it--and to my surprise that seemed to fix things. I've never had to run DDU twice and for the record, I'm not the only one having driver issues with these cards. If anything should stand in the way of someone buying an RX 5700 series card over GTX/RTX, it's the drivers (at least for now), which is a bummer because the hardware really is awesome. Hopefully AMD irons it out quickly. Feel free to share your experience with Navi drivers so far."

That Powercolor is a good looking card. Take the branding off of it and I would’ve though it was an Asus ROG card.

1080Ti is still rocking hard and breaking 100fps on most games on 2k or even 4k. Personal experience
1080Ti will reach whatever frame rate at 4K as 1060 at 1080p.
It will certainly last for years to come. Hell, top end Navi isn't even as good as the 1080Ti... Which is still pretty effing sad for GPU progress lmao.
It took AMD 2 failures called 56 and 64, die shrink to 7nm, and so on to catch up with a 2 year old 1080Ti and with less VRAM.
The same goes for Nvidia backpedaling with the RTX line up.
You should probably wait till the Big navi see if that comes out but damm that GPU will for sure last about 2-3 years more until you could use an upgrade

@@justinc2633 Seriously, this. My favorite company is Zotac - I have the 980TI AMP Extreme, it's by far the fastest card by a long shot for that series. It runs everything I want extremely well. Years ago I was an ATI fan, loved them, but then the 6000 series (I think that's what it was) came out from Gtx and I never looked back. One thing I feel not a lot of people are talking about is Navi in next-gen consoles. From what we know both PS5 and the next Xbox are going to be using Navi GPUs and zen 2 CPUs. This is ultimately going to mean much better optimization for Navi and zen 2 coming to PC
Current consoles also use AMD Hardware, so are all games optimized for Vega/Polaris? Heck no. Consoles are important but its not like all games are just ported over from there.
Moreover the consoles will feature some form of AMD raytracing, which is missing on the current Navi-Gen. Not sure how AMD is gonna do it, but if they use dedicated hardware like Nvidia or other specialized cores, those 5700's could have a really short time of relevance.
Jensen response to Navi- it just works. Hahaha 😂🤣
nice video JZ, just adding on to your commenting of the cooler that it blows air towards the bottom of the card not allowing that Turbulence that happens in cards that are closed on the bottom > The rurbulence helps in heat transfer - specially in convection which is the case, although in the end the air leaving the card case helps a bit to cool other components the turbulence could help it even more in heat exchange.

How are these cards for use in Adobe? Lightroom, Photoshop, Premier? Do they only work with Cuda?
This is 10 VRMs phases. not 7 VRMs Phases (4:57)
What's the difference?
Nothing much besides that 7 VRMs phases is around 220w / while the 10 VRMs around 300w
In Reality, this card will hit 200w (stock) to a 240w (OC) But that 300w is just an extra for extreme OC dudes
Kinda... but that's not really the benefit of multi-phase VRM. The more 'real' phases in the VRM design, the less ripple will be present in the supplied voltage as well as each phase having to deliver a smaller amount of the total power leading to cooler operation. So while it *CAN* deliver more max current than a 7-phase, the 10-phase will deliver the same configured power cleaner and cooler. (all other design and component efficiencies aside)
@@carbonsx3 Yes 100% agreed
But that was the full details, I was giving like super summary

Sapphire usually has the highest core and memory clocks. From memory it had the fastest, 570, 580, 590, and the vega 56 pulse was the best, (you also had a chance to the samsung memory in there, so you could flash the cards bios to vega 64's)

Tick Tock Tech that can compare to the rtx cards
Lmfao. Compare? Compare to what? How Nvidia is still winning?
Tick Tock Tech? You think the new Navi is going to beat the 2080ti Kingpin? Lmfao. It'll be close, but team blue still on top.
@@lickkittysplit3871 Um, kingpin is an AIB overclocked card... they don't "need" to beat the kingpin. They just need to beat the 2080ti. And yes, they stand a good chance of beating the 2080ti with a larger Navi chip
Also, Nvidia is green... not blue
Problem is, they're out of stock EVERYWHERE.
Cant even buy them in the Netherlands yet if I wanted to. Same for 2070 supers.
Not related to this ,but should I take i5 9600k or Ryzen 5 3600X with RTX 2060 . Thanks in advance.
2:51 "PCB stops here" nice :)
AMD titles don't have a subroutine... NVIDIA Gameworks, on the other hand...
When Jay said "Abnormally Large", I said 'THAT'S WHAT SHE SAID', and my dad spit coffee all over his laptop screen.
hahah
That card looks good. Reminds me of the 290x limited that I had in Crossfire a few years back.
I purchased the PowerColor Red Devil RX 5700 for $379 U.S. dollars and loaded the PowerColor Red Devil RX 5700 XT bios to it. It was simple, put's the card within 1% of the XT version, and is working flawlessly, albeit much faster than before the Bios update. The key is the Red Devil 5700 and XT version use exactly the same cooler so temps are great and it saved me $70-$80.
