Enchanting! A lost art of elegance, and gentle romance.
Kitty Carlisle, one of the classics during the 1930s, gained even more popularity in the 50s when she joined "To Tell the Truth". Occasional panelist on "What's My Line" and occasional player on "Password". Amazing classy woman but also amazing comedienne.
beautiful job by Bing sure miss him
all the world dose, I glad you and the world saw it
I love Kitty Carlisle! :)
Bing had a "High End" when he was young that I have never heard coming from any one, in fact Bing was one of a kind, I saw him, and lived in his generation, but there are no more Bings around to day., he could do it all, even the bad music sounded good when he put his chops to them
Just listen to that at 2:06. Wow! Bing was the all-time best!
Falling for Bing Crosby with every breath I take. Amor, Amor, Amor
Brilliant post !
Thank you for sharing.
So many sighs of love....
*sigh*

"And when I sleep you keep my heart awake"

It is almost impossible to find Bing's 1930s movies - a couple are available, The Big Broadcast, Anything goes - but this treasure trove of films remains hidden
KITTY CARLISLE A CLASS ACT AND ONE OF THE GREAT LADIES
Tops...I also love Frank Sinatra's version on Close to You.😅
"These American songs..." Rainger and Robin wrote such brilliant stuff.
Love Bing's little Satch riff at 1:18. His 78 was kinda corny in comparison to this.
This Song Make Me Waiting For Covid-19 & Face Mask Is Over
Kitty Carlisle had a great voice but I see vary little on you tube
Almost seems they are singing live here, for the first half of the video at least. Piano could have been just off-camera. Does anybody know?

Maid gets caught = D'OH!
So the original singer of this song is Bing Crosby? Thanks for uploading. Frank Sinatra's version is for me better!
Well I reckon folk might fall into 2 camps there! Two different voices, two different styles.
No
Exactly, I prefer Bing Crosby's version, but Frank's is also nice. 2 different styles from 2 Crooners. Love is Grand.
I love the maid better
I’m with you brother😂
