Majorie was DARLING....she played the wife in "The Life of Reilly"...but she was SO adorable in the movie..
AND THIS MOVIE WAS RELEASED IN 1942...when the WAR was going VERY badly...Hollywood was VERY important for morale.....

Such a beautiful song and dance sequence. Bing's beautiful voice and Fred and Marjorie's outstanding dancing make this one of my favorite scenes. I cry every time i watch this scene. That song and the romantic dancing just gets to me. I start missing my late boyfriend. And i miss my mom. This is my second Christmas without my mom. We always watched this movie and all of Bing's movies together. Bing was her fave singer.💗😢

This was the song Irving Berlin thought was going to be the "sure-fire, can't miss" hit of "Holiday Inn". So much so, that it's played earlier in the film before its "introduction", here. But at the time, there was a war on. And a bunch of soldier and sailor boys grew lonely with nostalgia for a.....need I say it?
