lyrics : It's June in January Because I'm in love It always is spring in my heart With you in my arms The snow is just white blossoms That fall from above And here is the reason my dear Your magical charms The night is cold The trees are bare But I can feel the scent of roses in the air It's June in January But only because I'm in love with you (The night is cold The trees are bare) But I can feel the scent of roses in the air It's June in January But only because I'm in love with you here because of beach read
Ah, there's the young Crosby at it again. Just love to hear his strong baritone in his Thirties and Forties movies and recordings. No wonder he sold so many records and was a big star on radio. Thanks for presenting.
He was a wonderful harmony singer who appreciated others with this skill. A true musician with the eloquence of a lawyer, and the rhythm of a drummer...Of course he was all those things. Thank you for posting this treat, I will look out for the film 'Here is my Heart'.
Great Post! Most people aren't familiar with the early Bing. What a timeless voice. Greatest singer of the 20th Century in my book. Given consideration to his prime years the culture, technology, Bing was definitely the most influential star and best selling singer of all time. Bing was bigger than Elvis, the Beatles, and Michael Jackson all of whom I greatly admired.
@Clazam Way bigger. Billboard awards him the biggest seller of the 40s AND the 50s? 43 #1s 350 top 10s Top 10 movie Star for 15 years #1 movie star for #5 Johnny Mercer, Jimmy Van Huesen, Nelson Riddle and so many of Sinatra writers and arrangers were Bing's guys first. Irving Berlin called Crosby #1. So did Sinatra. Several of Elvis' big hits were Bing remakes like Blue Hawaii.
@antisocialite Even if you combine both Sinatra and King Elvis you still wouldn't beat the number of times ol' Bing topped the charts back in the day. Sinatra reached the charts 209 times and Elvis reached the charts 149 times, while Bing scored a remarkable 396 times on the charts. He scored 43 times on the #1 record compared to Elvis' 18 times and Sinatra's 25 times (more or less). Two of his singles White Christmas and Silent Night got #1 and #3 as best selling singles of all time, with record sales of over 50 million and 30 million, respectively. His records also spent 173 weeks in the No. 1 spot. But if by 'bigger' you mean more popular (and wealthier), well definitely yes, without a doubt. But I do agree that Crosby is better.
Great to hear one of the greatest a (master )this era gone by so sad we may never ever get someone like Bing and sinatra to listen to live ,ever again. Music sadly missed what a class act they both were
@ted2321 Hey! Glad you enjoyed this. Rainger and Robin wrote some good stuff. Here Is My Heart is a very good Bing movie I think; it's one of my favorites. :)
One of the greatest singers of all time. A Million thanks for posting ! There will never be another Bing Crosby ! When Bing goes over to the mirror is that the camera lights caught in the reflection?
Great song by two writers completely unfamiliar to me,Ralph Rainger and Leo Robin but the usual sublime rendition by Bing. Also very enjoyable to see clip from movie which I don't remember having seen previously.Thank you so much for posting
His hair was done in the studio by the resident hairdresser. In the thirties, it was common practice for men to plaster their hair with haircream one well known brand was "Brilliantine" Unfortunately these substances rubbed off on pillows and head-rests. This led to the use of "Anti-macassars" small plain or decorated linen or cotton covers pinned to the backs of high-backed chairs, sofas, etc. which protected the upholstery, and could be washed and dried quickly for re-use.
" The Joker is Wild" is not played very often.. Sinatra's two gals are Mitzi Gaynor and Jeanne Crain Eddie Albert plays his piano player Jackie Coogan is his buddy Its made about the same time as "Pal Joey" 1957
it's not official yet but I just signed a preapplication today to adopt a 4mo🐱named June" thanks #Bing🚬as I write I'm playing" It's June in January too❤️

It's June in January
Because I'm in love
It always is spring in my heart
With you in my arms
The snow is just white blossoms
That fall from above

Your magical charms
The night is cold
The trees are bare
But I can feel the scent of roses in the air
It's June in January

But I can feel the scent of roses in the air

Bings voice was at it’s absolute peak here.
His harmonizing skills are amazing
Oh! I love this. Bing is so natural and in great voice.
Even in his 70s he still had a great voice. Remember that duet he did with David Bowie?
Yes! It was well done. They both made a memorable performance.
Bing is certainly one of the most handsomest actors back in the day 😍😍😍🥰🥰🥰, he's got a incredibly beautiful voice
Best version in my opinion.
He had something so special! Something wholly unmatched by other singers!
He was a wonderful harmony singer who appreciated others with this skill. A true musician with the eloquence of a lawyer, and the rhythm of a drummer...Of course he was all those things. Thank you for posting this treat, I will look out for the film 'Here is my Heart'.
