Received mine today and installed it on a ‘25 Advanced. Works perfectly. Easy to install but the two panels were reluctant to pop out and patience was required. Worth the money.

This video leaves out a critical customer experience issue! When putting things back together, put the idle stopper device into an already existing rectangular hole in the dash, right behind the selector switch. This way, the wires and the idle stopper device do not fall down in between the console plastic piece and the base where you pop it back into. There's plenty of room and it is a much better install. Seems obvious to me now, but since it wasn't in the video, I was frustrated until I figured it out. If it were in the video, my 10-minute install would literally have taken me less than 2 minutes! Everything works fine, this is solely a customer experience issue.

Great video. Does this one have to be plugged into the power outlet underneath like the other one does?
Thanks for your interest! This one does NOT require the power connection at the 12v outlet. The IDS Controller plugs in between the drive mode switch and the factory wiring only

The reason for the lack of power harness is due to the power source. We only used fused power sources to fully provide protection in case of any electrical issues or any possible short circuits. With the fused power source, the worst possible scenario is a blown fuse and nothing would happen to the vehicles electronics or wiring.
The idlestopper module uses the 12v power socket as its power source, there is no available fused power at the idle stop off switch.
The IDS Controller module uses an available fused power source directly at the drive mode switch which is why it doesn’t need the additional harness and 12v outlet connection.
The IDS Controller is definitely an easier install and my personal preference of the 2 modules. I prefer to drive in and stay in “individual” mode to have my personal preferences setup and have the idle stop turned off. Some customers don’t use drive modes and only want the idle stop off so the idlestopper would be more for those customers.
I’ve just bought 2023 A spec MDX . Does it work on it and does it throw any codes ?
Yes it does work with the 23 MDX and no it does not cause any codes or lights. It works seamlessly and affects no other vehicle systems or functions. It simply presses the individual button at each startup for you automatically.
Nice! It would be perfect if an always on for the brake hold was also possible.
I purchased a 2021 TLX Type S, but now want to use that same IDS controller harness on a 2022 MDX Type S, is it compatible with all the proper functions working still?
Yes! The IDS Controller is compatible with both MDX and TLX 👍🏻
Thanks, this saves me from another purchase. On MDX, IDS seems easier to install than the idle stopper which has to tap into the power outlet.

Is there anyway possible to install the head up display in the 2022 MDX A-Spec?
I don’t believe you can! You have to cut the pass through for the screen to project into the window! Advanced trims or type S advanced are the only options to have that HUD! Maybe 25 year model will come standard for A spec as well.
