Parents just got rid of their 2002 Highlander Limited. Best vehicle we ever owned. Only traded it in as they had 2 cars and didn't need it anymore. 200k miles and still ran and drove like new. Color me impressed.
After listing to my bud Scott for awhile now and I'm pretty sure he couldn't run for POTUS. Yup, born in Japan. Let's see your birth cert Scott! I think he hasn't told us he's on Toyota's Board of Directors!
Still driving my 2004 limited highlander with 165000 miles on it, also still runs like new, plus the jbl sound system still sounds good as ever too. I will probably own it for another 15 years!
I just bought a 2013 V6 HL with only 39000 miles, pristine paint, white, with cream leather interior and chrome accents, running boards. One owner, no accidents no damage. I love it! It is my unicorn and my forever vehicle.
We have a 2013 Pilot EX-L and love it, too. However, we're not seeing anywhere NEAR that 26 MPG highway. Best I've seen is about 22 on trips to Disney. We average 17-18 blended (City/Highway).
Had a first generation highlander. Great driving experience. No blind spots, easy to drive. Friends had a first generation pilot with leather. Those seats were amazing. Most comfortable I’ve ever felt in a car. I’d buy one just for the seats. Don’t know how much that have changed since then.
I recently bought a 2018 Pilot Touring (certified). I tried both Highlander and Pilot before i made my decision. Initially i wanted to purchase Highlander but it has most uncomfortable seats (specifically the third row seats are horrible) on the other hand, Pilot is very comfortable, lots of room, and easily fits 8 adults without any problems. If you go for long drive frequently, and take your family and friends with you then i definitely recommend Honda Pilot over Highlander.
I have a 2011 Honda pilot with 283k miles , no Major issues, just a relay switch and air mix actuator for the AC. Other than that i just kept up the maintenance
Scotty, I really appreciate that you take the time to do these videos and I especially appreciate that you actually use your voice instead of a robotic one. You sir are a wealth of knowledge!
The reason I bought it 2020 Honda pilot was because my teenage kids could fit in the third row backseat comfortably. You can’t fit in a Toyota Highlander third or a backseat unless you are a kid. What is the point in buying it three rule passenger car when you can’t fit in the third row.
I have seen much better specs and cheaper than Pilot! But in the end went to Honda pilot!!!.....Why? The 3rd row which my kids like is very very comfortable even with adults!
We had 2 adults and 1 child in the back of our highlander this weekend. It isn’t ideal, but certainly doable. Plus I think the Highlander styling blows the pilot out of the water.
@@andrewmosley7904 was going to say we have a highlander and have no issue with our teen and her friends in the 3rd row comfortably. Love our Highlander
I'm 6 foot and I can barely fit in the back of my 2020 honda pilot on the 3rd row. That 3rd row is not meant for tall people, my knees came upto to the headrest of the seat infront of me.
I bought my 13 highlander when my first was an infant. Hes been in all his friends parents cars. From X3, Traverse, to Atlas which broke down. He said never get rid of Lander, it rides so much better and hasnt changed in all these years. Only changed the batt, tires, and fluids.
I have a 2008 Highlander which was used for the most part to due Uber, 220k miles later still runs like new. Have a different job and blessed to make more money but i refused to get a new car until my Highlander dies. Only problem is now my commute is less than 10 minutes from my house and don’t think my Highlander will ever die.
Scotty I have an 06 Pilot I purchased new and have never had to do anything other than my regular oil & filter changes, brakes, batteries which I do the maintenance and also of course tires. I saved myself $1000.00 and changed the water pump and timing belt, parts $202.00. Dealership wanted $1200.00. Still has ice cold A/C. It has 126,000 miles, not that many for an 06.
My daughter had a 2004 Pilot with 236,000 miles and was still going strong before a car accident totaled it. Mostly only needed oil changes and brakes, throttle position module is only "abnormal" failure but it didn't leave her stranded just popped a check engine light. She bought a 2018 Hylander to replace it and has loved it more.
I still have my 2001 highlander and love it. My son was born 2months after I got it and is now 21 and will finish college this year. Just like Scotty said ...the vehicle was used his whole life. Still have the stickers on back window where he sat as a child....will never let this car go unless I can find a new one just like it.
I have a 2015 highlander with 85,000 miles in NYC. Volume and tuning knobs broke when wiping them during my first month of ownership. Last year the plastic around the car seat cracked and the edges of the front seats along the side of the door flattened out (lost their cushiness). Bracket fell off exhaust and it rattles. A few weeks ago the passengers side window would go up slightly when I tried to close it, and then back down. I had to do it at least 10 times to get it to go up. It has been okay since then. No rebooting or blacking out of display console and no other problems. Car drives like it did when I first got it. Reliable, fast with 6 cyl engine, and comfortable. Would buy again. I had a Honda CRV prior to this for 9 years. Nothing ever broke or went bad but I like my highlander a lot more anyway for comfort and performance and reliability.
We had a 2003 Highlander for few years and it was great. 3.0L engine was smooth and we haver had a single problem. It rode on tall tires and suspension was soft but very comfortable. It was built in Japan.
I absolutely love my 2017 Highlander Hybrid. It's very quick accelerating from a stop and in passing at highway speeds. The seats could be a little more comfortable, and access to the 3rd row is still far more difficult than that of my 2015 Honda Pilot. The 2015 Pilot is also a great car. It is much roomier and quiet than my Highlander, and it gets around in the snow better than any car I've ever driven. All told, the Pilot is a more comfortable vehicle, but the Highlander feels more agile and gets almost twice as many MPG. I also handed down my 2010 Highlander Hybrid to my daughter. The 2010 still looks new and drives great at around 150K miles. Bottom line, we've owned multiple model years of both vehicles, and they were all great cars.
@@drivenhome3257 the seats have a huge range of adjustment. My hobbit-sized daughter has no trouble driving the 2010 Highlander, and the 2017 has the same range of adjustment.
I'm barely 5'1 in length and I love my highlander just fine, with no problem reaching the gas/brake pedals. If I want to feel tall, I throw in a seat cushion then I'm good to go. Lol
2017 Pilot here. Only issue I had and found many others were the fuel injectors. Was covered under warranty and other than routine maintenance, I have had no issues. Coming up on 90k miles and it still rides like a dream. I don't forsee the wife and I getting rid of it until the wheels fall off.
@@robmalcolm8042 J series all have belts as far as I know. I think all the 3.2's and 3.5's. I think I heard some newer Pilots were using the K series. I've never seen one. All J series, along with the Ridgeline, MDX, Accord, Odyssey and more. There are problems but the J series enthusiasts have it all ironed out. The thing people seem to complain about the most is VCM. Just get an engine that doesn't have VCM. Problem solved.
@LORD HYBRID VIDEOS I absolutely agree. Initially was really wanting Touring or Elite but had heard the same thing about the transmission. Definitely glad I have the EXL. The AWD isn't bad either when I've needed it (which hasn't been often admittedly). 98k miles and going strong!
I have a 2015 Highlander, and I love it. I agree with the seats, but have no issue with wind noise and the screen has never had any issues. Love the videos!
I’ve owned 2006, 2012, and 2016 Highlanders. Loved them all. Simply upgraded as I wanted new features. I’m not a big fan if the stylings of the newest generation. For my money, you can’t beat the Highlander. “There can be only one.”
Just bought a 2021 Pilot, 13,700 miles! I liked the handling of the Highlander more than than the Pilot, but the pilot was more comfortable of a ride. Highlander handles a smidge better. Test drove both the same day, one after the other.
That's funny, I just went through the same exact experience. Had every intention of buying a 2021 Toyota Highlander but changed my mind after driving a 2021 Honda Pilot Touring. The ride was noticeably more comfortable in the Pilot in my opinion. Very smooth ride in the Pilot.
I bought a new 2012 Highlander Limited and loved it. In 2020 I gave it to my son and bought a new 2020 Highlander Limited. So far it is great. The 2020 is kind of stiffer than my 2012. It is loaded with technology.
Oh, good..more things to break...lol they make cars and trucks cheaper, and distract you with technology so you don't notice the truck isn't made as well as older ones..they all use cheaper materials..and the electronics all break over time
We purchased a 2017 Acura MDX last month and it would suddenly go into limp mode at random times, which is dangerous. It’s apparently a common issue but Acura doesn’t recognize it, so instead of fighting with the dealership, we traded for a 2017 Highlander. So far, great car and this video confirms that we made the right decision.
Both are nice vehicles, but personally I would go with Toyota because I do not like timing belts that could break at the worst time. A timing chain is much better in my opinion.
Got an 03 Highlander V6, the big issues on these are the knock sensors. Some people have problems, some don’t. Otherwise just wear items and routine maintenance. 147k miles now.
Had a 2017 Highlander and while ok and trouble free, we went back to Honda and now own a 2020 Pilot and couldn't be happier.. Night and day with room, comfort and overall build & features.. So glad we went back to Honda.
it’s good to hear that you don’t have have any issues with your pilot. but many are having transmission issues and fuel injector problems. make sure you have an extended warranty.
We have a 2015 Highlander. No problems with it whatsoever (knock on wood). It’s fully loaded and clean, low mileage since hubby and I have been retired for past 4 yrs. Every 2 or 3 months we get a call from the dealer wanting to buy it.
Bought my wife a new Pilot EX-L in the summer of ‘05. She drove it until 2014, then gave it to our older son. He drove it until early this year, then gave it to his younger brother. It’s got somewhere north of 250K miles on it at this point. Never has needed a major repair.
@@서경민-c4g Annyong. The longevity of my Pilot has much more to do with the inherent design and build quality than anything unique I did. I changed the engine oil when the maintenance minder said to. Always used standard oil, not synthetics. Other fluids were changed more or less as the manufacturer recommended. The timing belt has only been changed once, at about 120k miles. I also had a 2006 Acura TL, bought new in Jan. 2006. It had an engine and transmission similar to the Pilot. I gave that vehicle to my daughter-in-law in 2016, when it had 220k miles on it. It was as trouble free as the Pilot. Unfortunately, she managed to wreck it about a year after she started driving it 😕. At least she wasn’t injured.
I have a 2003 Highalnder it has 185,000 miles...have not had any issues..thank god ! Just bought a 2023 XLE Highlander and love it ! Thanks for all your great videos !
Bought a used 14' highlander V6 fwd xle w 86k on it about 3 months back. Other than the display resetting, turning itself on and off while driving which I understand is a simple update to which it should fix. Other than that I am happy with the vehicle. 4.6 out of 5. 👍
I just purchased a 2010 Highlander base model to replace my 2003 4runner that was totalled in a wreck...not my fault. Great vehicle! Very pleased with Toyota products.👍
My mother had a 550k highlander thing ran like a champ no oil loss well maintained she traded it sheerly for a newer look. I bought hers and its now at 700k no oil loss and runs great
My wife and I just bought a 2016 Highlander this weekend, so far at just under 60,000 miles, we have some good expectations, and at least this year isn't mentioned in the bad or good years to buy. Great video Scotty. Keep up the great videos.
I have a 2011 Pilot exl, it was my moms car. I love it, it’s a funky mocha colour and my friends say it looks like a cardboard box on wheels, so it’s been nicknamed “the box.” It’s got just under 100k miles on it and it runs like a charm.
I have a 2017 Honda Pilot Elite. I love it. The early transmission shutter of the 2016 was fixed and it is a great vehicle. Have done nothing but routine maintenance. I have had prior Honda’s with power steering problems. That was all fixed with the new electric rack. No more hydraulic pump to service. The transmission service at 30k is not cheap but I figure it is better to pay for maintenance than repairs later. I love the look of the Honda more than the Toyota. Plus the Pilot has more room. All the seats fold flat. So I can pile the dogs in in the weekends and clients during the week. Great vehicle. Have had it over 3 years so not merely an initial review here.
Hi! I have my heart set on a 2017 Pilot and we were about to make the jump and buy it. But the more research I do, the more I read about the 16 & 17' having transmission problems and acceleration problems and have a hard ride. I am torn. I love EVERYTHING the 3rd gen pilots have to offer, but we're afraid to pull the trigger if there's problems that are guaranteed to happen. The pilot we're inquiring is the 2017 Ex-L with 78k miles for 26,500.00 from a private seller. I don't want to spend that much money and have to turn around and put more money into it.
I have a 2005 Highlander with a V6 and I love it! I’ve had it for a few months and no complaints. I bought it from the original owner, and only “big” thing we have had to do is the timing belt and water pump and the timing belt was the original one!
My 2007 RAV4 w/3.5L V6 has a timing “chain” which doesn’t require changing. Are you sure your V6 has a “belt”? Hopefully you didn’t get taken advantage of.....
I’m sure my v6 has a belt I have a 3.3L V6 and my brother is a mechanic so he takes care of everything for me and he wouldn’t ever cheat me or steer me wrong!
@@trailerparkcryptoking5213 it does have timing belt, I just replace my 06 v6 highlander at 95k as recommended by the manufacturer! Ruh is correct and those replacements are critical 👌🏿
I just traded my trusty 08 Rav v6 bare-bones Sport for a '13 Pilot Touring this weekend. I was white-knuckling up until the end of this video praying the 2013's weren't on the list lol. I've taken your mechanical advice for the last decade, Scotty, and it's always been GOLD!!!!! You are appreciated, sir! Toyota/Honda FOR LIFE.
Nothing said about tow capacity, even though these vehicles are very frequently used to tow. Big differences there, particularly in older model years (Highlander V6 - 5000lbs vs. only 3500lbs in most older Honda Pilots). Additionally nothing noted about the fact that Highlanders use an engine CHAIN vs. Pilots which use a timing belt that must be changed regularly and is quite expensive to do. Older Pilots had HUGE issues with the variable cylinder management which can completely trash the engine. 8 speed Highlanders (2017 and forward) can get absolutely incredible fuel economy vs. the Pilot. Easily 30mpg highway in a Highlander. Hybrid Highlander can get 40+mpg if driven gently. I've even heard of 50mpg in a Highlander Hybrid. Almost unbelievable. I've personally gotten 40mpg in my ICE 8 speed Highlander when driven on lower speed highways (53mph seems to be the sweet spot).
Actually from 2003 to 2005, all Pilot trims were rated at 4500lbs. From 2006 - 2015 4500lbs was available trim dependent. In 2015 and 2016, it was up to 5000lbs dependent on the trim level. My Pilot is almost 19 years old and has 410,000kms on it and the timing belt has never been changed - not sure what you mean by "must to be changed regularly". My pilot doesn't even have variable cylinder management and its definitely "older" ... not sure when they introduced it. My sister has an older highlander hybrid and it gets decent mileage, but it sure isn't 40-50mpg. My Pilot doesn't get great mileage (decent on the highway though), but I also drive aggressively. If you baby it, it does ok, but that's no fun, besides the 3.5 sounds awesome when you get your foot into it ;)
I have a 2009 V6 highlander limited with 214,000 miles on it and it still runs like new. I love my highlander. Best vehicle I ever bought. Rides like a dream and super comfortable on long road trips.
2017 AWD HL V6 LE: All required service. No issues. Runs good. Car dash indicates over all mileage 26.4 mpg (city and hw). Car is quiet, comfortable, handles well, plenty of acceleration when needed, uses regular gas. For me, the seats are comfortable. Most of the time the 3rd row is folded down, we use the cargo space. I have replaced the halogen headlights with LED's (Sealight; big positive difference). Very pleased with the car. Total miles so far a little over 35k. Our other car is an 07 Saturn Vue with 240k+ miles gets 26-28mpg. No issues on that either (except the a/c compressor died at 200k miles (to be expected), wife refuses to replace it). We are considering a new HL hybrid, but the View could last another 150k-200k miles, and cost/benefit of spending another 45k to get an additional 10mpg just does not seem to be there. Best wishes to all.
@@scottykilmer Hey scotty, I have a question about my first car. I've been looking at a 1994 ford thunderbird LX with the 4.6 V8. It's got 77,000 miles on It and Is In good shape. Would this be a good first car?
we bought a new 2005 Pilot and loved it so much that in 2008 we bought a used 2003. Big difference in the 2! The 2003 did develop transmission problems after we had it for about 5 years. Still drove it until we traded it in back in 2019. We still have the 2005, and have just done the normal maintenance. It has 158,000 miles and it's still going strong. In October we took it on a 3,500 mile trip and it performed perfectly. The only problem we are having is the CD changer is now acting up and need to be replaced. I would rather drive this in the snow than my 4 wheel drive truck. It's a great snowmobile!
Totally agree about handling in snow. My 05 Pilot has gotten me through some ridiculous snow storms in Rochester, NY and it just pushes through flawlessly with the power/torque of the motor and the 4WD system Honda has put in it.
Highlander is way quieter than the pilot. Rides better and handles bumps in the road better, like a high end luxury car. You feel safer driving a highlander. Recently test drove both and bought the highlander immediately.
Bought my highlander in 2008 when my son was born. My son is now a freshman in h.s. and in 2 months my highlander with 172k will be 16 yrs old. Besides oil, brakes and tires only replaced a water pump. Still runs like a top
Ha; Too late! I already bought a Highlander ( Scotty recommended) After searching I decided to buy in this class and these two were my choices. I did get a little nervous when you started to talk about which ones had problems. But luckily for me, I chose a 2013 Highlander and you didn’t mention anything about that one in particular. It runs like a champ, and it’s like a thoroughbred on the highway; it just wants to run in front; fast. I really have to watch burying my foot in the pedal because it can handle it and it doesn’t even seem like I’m doing 80+miles an hour. It could do 80 and more with ease but it’s sure to get better gas mileage at about 75. I find that I get about 27 miles per gallon on a fairly flat highway and when I’m driving around town doing food delivery I get anywhere from 22 when I’m doing long runs, to about 18 when I’m having to sit in line waiting to get orders. A very suitable vehicle for everything I needed and the kids love it too.
I love my 2013 Highlander limited edition (bought it used). It's been great and the ride is nice and smooth. Only problem that I ran to yesterday was the navigating system "not installed" when I tried to use it. It's been working fine until after I got the inspection done. Left it alone and run it again the next day and everything seem to be back to normal without doing anything. Not sure what happen there, but I hope it was just a glitch. Wondering if anyone else have the same issue.
I’ve owned a 2010 pilot, excellent vehicle especially with the 3rd row and I currently own a 2016 highlander also an excellent vehicle, the highlander has more creature comforts and the engine is a lot more peppy the wind noise is true with the highlander but overall I’d take the Toyota MPG is a little better as well.
My 2011 pilot has been trouble free with one exception. The front brake rotors would warp in less than 10,000 miles. I replaced them with oem honda rotors a few times, no luck, I tried a few pairs of aftermarket, same problem. A few years ago I put on a pair of “power stop” brand rotors. They were expensive but they are holding up beautifully.
I have Power-stop, cross-drilled rotors with performance pads on my ‘06 TL...work like a champ. Cross-drilling dissipated disk heat more quickly during hard braking.
Bought a 2014 new and drove it until 2021, was going to keep it until it died. Last week the transmission went out at 97k miles. I’m a Toyota loyalist but not really believing these will last 15 years Scotty.
I'm surprised you said the 2017 was a good year for the highlander. That was the first year of the 8 speed transmission and it was a problem. Toyota had to do "software" updates to correct. Worth mentioning in my opinion
I have a 2017 and they extended the transmission warranty to 10 years unlimited miles. There was a manufacturing issue where a pin comes lose and blows the transmission. Many failures at low miles, but appears to be isolated. I think the faulty ones went right away. The transmission refresh is not a big deal.
Best to avoid 2017, unless the issues have been solved. 2018-2019 is better, the refresh added a combination of direct fuel injectors along with the port injectors. Looks better and is more efficient than 2015-2016. Hybrids are very well built. My 2016 HiHybrid lasted 751,xxx km (470,000 miles) and was sold for a good amount considering everything.
I currently drive an 08 Honda pilot AWD that was GIVEN to me by a friend when she got a new vehichle. I've put roughly 4k into it over 3 years replacing front struts, tire rods, all the stabilizer links, pressure line from power steering and all the brakes, new battery , AND just this week I had the power steering pump replaced when it started making a weird noise heading to Walmart -I parked it and my bf came to check it, the nut holding the power steering pulley on had come off and the pulley was shredding the shaft for the power steering and only held in place by the tension from the pulley. I had it towed back and the mechanic was absolutely amazed that I caught the problem before it was worse. Still expensive, but they just replaced the pump and drive belt and no other damage was found 😅 I still love my pilot.
All these new cars are everything older luxury cars were, just without the really high quality leather, wood grains, and expensive suspension systems. They already ride fantastic, are quiet, have plenty of power, and most of the time the chairs are good. Hell, even my new VW Golf has less road noise than some Mercedes I've driven.
We have a 2012 Pilot Touring with 180K miles on it and it still runs good. There is a knocking on the left front when you make a right turn and I cant figure out what it is but it is not a show stopper and the paint is chipping around the far left rear passenger window and the second row right passenger window. Love the Pilot it is now our 3rd car and 7th Honda Vehicle. We have a 2010 Honda Goldwing, 2012 Honda Pilot, 2017 Honda Civic SI and a Lincoln Nautilus. The Pilot is our long haul vehicle. We take it every time we go out of town.
I am from Europe. Here only the Highlander hybrid is available....bought one, top trim - great car - I am loving it. Anyhow, i would have preferred the V6....
My 2008 Highlander I have put 410k miles on it. My 2019 Highlander has already racked up 165k miles and still going. Those are the good old days of the inline 6 cylinders
2015 Highlander: uncomfortable seats & wind noise,...those are the only reasons to call it a problem year 😆!? I have the 2015 & don't have issues with either of these "problems." In fact, it's a great camping car since it's so long. I've remove both back seats & it's amazing how much space there is for stealth camping, big dog hauling, major shopping sprees, bicycle hauling....on & on. I love my 2015 Highlander. In one year it pulled a small camper all over the U.S. & logged 30,000 miles with no issues besides a sensor going off. It was a solid dependable workhorse! (OH, & I've had no issues with the navigation system on mine either. )
We have a 2003 Highlander with 185,000 miles. Other than tires, belts and batteries the only things we have replaced is a speedometer cable and a seat belt. It has always been dealer serviced.

Knowing what years to avoid is such valuable info. People assume you can't go wrong with any year because the brand has a good reputation.
I just learned this.
Thank you dude
Very very true. Goes with pretty much all makes as they all have had their engineering fails, just some brands more than others.
So what model years should you avoid for the Highlander?
I’ve got a 2002 v6 Highlander with 207,000 miles. Still runs great and I love it
I have a 2018 Toyota Haighlander, I bought it brand new and in 6 years it has not given me any problem. The Toyota Highlander is a great vehicle.
How much distance you've crossed with ?
I recently bought a new 2020 Honda Pilot and I absolutely love it. So far I have zero complaints.

Still driving my 2002 Highlander 4-cyl. 240,000 miles and hardly any work done on it. Best car I've ever owned!
200k mi on a Honda is easy. 200k mi on a Toyota is only halfway through it's life.

The reason I bought it 2020 Honda pilot was because my teenage kids could fit in the third row backseat comfortably. You can’t fit in a Toyota Highlander third or a backseat unless you are a kid. What is the point in buying it three rule passenger car when you can’t fit in the third row.
So true. Never owned a Honda Pilot but I will get one soon

I bought my 13 highlander when my first was an infant. Hes been in all his friends parents cars. From X3, Traverse, to Atlas which broke down. He said never get rid of Lander, it rides so much better and hasnt changed in all these years. Only changed the batt, tires, and fluids.
How many miles on it though?

Is the Highlander ok for a short 5 foot tall driver?
Yes but I would go for the Camry crossover suv for 5 feet tall better view.

Best wishes to all.

we bought a new 2005 Pilot and loved it so much that in 2008 we bought a used 2003.
I already bought a Highlander ( Scotty recommended)
After searching I decided to buy in this class and these two were my choices.
I love my 06 pilots. 150k miles and drives like a dream

I just bought a 2015 Highlander 😁I was worried when you mentioned that year but the complaints were minor! I'm more than happy with it!!
No worry bro. That car will run 350000 miles with no problem
I put on Duralast rotors to replace oem to get rid of warping!
I put Powerstop on all vehicles in my family. They're so good for the money.
Very good point! I hate the plastic interiors on so many newer cars & trucks!
More videos like these! This format is exactly what I need since Im going to buy a used SUV soon
Same
I am from Europe. Here only the Highlander hybrid is available....bought one, top trim - great car - I am loving it. Anyhow, i would have preferred the V6....
Spot on review. Had a 2003 Pilot Ign & Trans problems. Have 2008 no issues at 230K
We have a 2017 Highlander w 105000 miles. No problems yet. Very pleased. Le plus trim, FWD, v6. It was a very good price new, I think 33k.
Just had a Highlander as a rental and I must say, it was pretty freakin’ sweet; much better than our other rental, which was a Durango.
I rented one too and it was pretty awesome!
That Highlander is a freaking beast!! I love it, and the Honda Pilot.
Highlander score for me: 10.0
Pilot score for ne: 9.99
😀😀😀😀😀
@@flennboyd6413 I LOVE my 2017 Durango 😃
i just bought a 22 highlander hybrid. love it so far
My 2008 Highlander I have put 410k miles on it. My 2019 Highlander has already racked up 165k miles and still going. Those are the good old days of the inline 6 cylinders
I still got my 2011 pilot with 117k miles on it. I’ve kept up the maintenance, and the only major issue was the alternator going out.
... and gas mileage I bet. I have it on good authority that end of 2023 or 2024 the Pilot will be available in hybrid!
@@thosetwodudes I’ve driven less than 20k miles in the last 3 years. I don’t need to go far
Just bought a v6 2018 highlander and love it so far
My parents sold their 2003 Pilot last year with 320k miles on it. I miss it haha
(OH, & I've had no issues with the navigation system on mine either. )
I would choose Honda Pilot because it's more affordable than Highlander.
Has more room as well
We have a 2003 Highlander with 185,000 miles. Other than tires, belts and batteries the only things we have replaced is a speedometer cable and a seat belt. It has always been dealer serviced.
