Sorry to hear that you had trouble. The white tab can come out without cutting. There’s no need to modify anything at all to install our module. We would gladly do a video for the manual if we had access to one. Unfortunately they are impossible to get in our area. @ - I don’t use the stock shift boot or shifter which has a different interface, so I wouldn’t he able to demonstrate that part of it. I figured that white anchor twisted off or something, I just couldn’t figure it out in short order. Not too many manuals, and now they’re done making them on the regular trims.

Glad to hear you got it installed! However, your wireless charger should be working normally with the idlestopper installed. I would suggest to double check your connections at the wireless charger pad and see if one is loose or disconnected. Also make sure the power button is turned on for the wireless charger pad. If not please reach out to us at idlestopautooff@gmail.com and we can further investigate this or get you a replacement module if needed. We want everything to be working properly after installation.

I think I maybe didn’t plug in the charger to the gray cable, but that middle piece is a bitch to remove. I can do without the wireless charger.

Completely up to you, I just want to make sure that you’re happy! I understand that first piece is a little difficult so if you don’t mind the charging pad not working and don’t feel like taking it apart again that’s totally fine.

Yes I’m happy. Wireless charger gets very hot anyways. I can use a short charging cable.

Well I couldn’t stand the fact that I might not have connected something. Took it all apart again and the connector to the wireless charger wasn’t connected. All is working now.

Everything does come apart rather easily! Our module was designed by a Honda master technician and will certainly not cause any issues with your vehicle or its electrical system. The last thing we’d want to do is cause a problem trying to get rid of another. Our module does not alter or change any software or programming and simply presses the idle stop off button for you. You can even turn the idle stop back on at any time you wish using the factory button. Read our reviews on any Honda/Acura forum, Facebook group or on our website and you will see that we have many happy customers and zero issues

Yes! Our module will turn off the factory idle stop system and keep your vehicle engine running at stops. No more engine shutting off at unexpected times!

The auto idle stop indicator light is as follows from the factory without our product installed: 1. Yellow = idle stop disabled 2. Green = currently performing idle stop 3. Not visible (light off) = system is active and waiting for criteria to perform idle stop With our idlestopper module installed, the yellow idle stop off light will appear 5-7 secs after startup and then remain on at all times unless you manually re-enable the system back to active

The button on the dash only disables the idle stop for that specific trip. Each time the vehicle is restarted, the idle stop turns back on. For those who don’t want to have to press the button each drive and be able to forget about it all together, we provide a more permanent solution.

Our product is to turn off the stop/start “feature” only. For the idle timer and the vehicle shutting off after 20 min of idle, just buckle the drivers seat belt to bypass that. With the driver’s seatbelt buckled, the vehicle thinks the seat is occupied and will keep the vehicle running past the 20 min timer. Hope this helps!

The wireless charging pad is used as a fused power source. This fused source would provide electrical protection to the idlestopper module and to your vehicle in case of any faults. The wireless charging pad remains completely unaffected and able to use at any time with no reduction in performance

The reason for the lack of power harness is due to the power source. We only used fused power sources to fully provide protection in case of any electrical issues or any possible short circuits. With the fused power source, the worst possible scenario is a blown fuse and nothing would happen to the vehicles electronics or wiring. The idlestopper module uses the 12v power socket as its power source, there is no available fused power at the idle stop off switch. The IDS Controller module uses an available fused power source directly at the drive mode switch which is why it doesn’t need the additional harness and 12v outlet connection. The IDS Controller is definitely an easier install and my personal preference of the 2 modules. I prefer to drive in and stay in “individual” mode to have my personal preferences setup and have the idle stop turned off. Some customers don’t use drive modes and only want the idle stop off so the idlestopper would be more for those customers.

The vehicle does have a button that will will turn off the idle stop but the button has to be pressed each time your drive your vehicle. There is no permanent off setting available. I do have another question…. Do we need to remove this if we take the car in for any warranty or recall repairs? Will this void the warranty I guess I’m asking.

The Idlestopper will NOT void your full warranty, the manufacturer isn’t allowed to void your entire warranty for the use of aftermarket parts legally because of the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act law that was passed in 1975. At most, the dealer could deny a warranty diagnosis/repair claim on the connected to parts as they are connected directly to the idlestopper device. All other vehicle systems and parts would still be fully protected under your normal warranty and cannot be affected by you installing the module into your vehicle. The Idlestopper does not reprogram or change any vehicle settings. It simply presses the off button for you. Aftermarket parts are a normal part of the industry and manufacturers know it. Customers use many after market parts on their NEW vehicles: -Phone and usb adapters -drive cameras -radar scanners -wiper blades -tires -wheels These are just a few of the things that, by the above standard, can technically “void” parts of your warranty in a similar fashion to the idlestopper. Example; If a phone charger adapter that you got from eBay shorts out and damages your power socket or fuse in your car then the manufacturer isn’t going to cover the repairs needed. Does not void warranty, just denied coverage to that specific repair. Example; If the Idlestopper shorts out and blows the power socket fuse in your vehicle then the manufacturer isn’t going to cover the repairs. Does not void warranty, just denied coverage for that specific repair. Example; If you put aftermarket tires and wheels on your new car and have issues with balance or vibration then the manufacturer isn’t going to cover the repairs if they are needed to the wheels or tires. Does not void warranty, just denied coverage for that specific repair.

Just go slowly and follow the video step by step. You can definitely do it carefully and not break any clips. For the trackpad not working, did something get spilled onto it? The only suggestion I would have for that would be to disconnect the negative battery terminal for 10 min and try and reboot the infotainment system. I know those RDXs had quite a bit of infotainment and display issues
