3m:15s The Gas gauge looks 90% full and is only showing 267 miles for range? The back seats look like they're low to the floor and not particularly roomy for an almost 200" vehicle? Having said that it looks cutting edge with high quality and cool tech!
My WK had a liner that flipped, but the plastic side had a sort of tray built in. It was very handy for hauling things like car batteries and dirty tow straps. I wish every car had an option to flip the rear floor panel.
I didn't catch if he said what trim level this test vehicle is -- anyone catch it? To me, it looks great inside and out. That said, Tommy's 100% right about Acura's infotainment having a steep learning curve, the german competitors are much more intuitive to use.
A nice upgrade to the MDX. But I have to wonder why the massive driving mode dial is placed where one expects a volume knob and the latter (relaively small dial) is placed where the driving mode might be expected. How often does one adjust the sound system volume versus changing the driving mode. Seems to be a triumph of form over function. BTW, a beautiful puppy. Bernese Mountain Dogs are among my favorites.
I have a few questions. Does the instrument gauge cluster display the navigation screen? Not turn by turn instructions but the map? Can you pay for the HUD and surround camera view feature in the ASpec if you want it? I know it doesn’t come with it but is it possible to pay for them to option it? I want the Type S but I was also curious if they are making a Hybrid also.
Hey David! I'm not 100% about the gauge cluster showing the navigation, but I'm pretty sure it doesn't. Also, I'm pretty sure you can't get the HUD or the surround view cameras as an add-on unfortunately. As for the hybrid question, I have no clue. Hope this helps a bit!
Some angles on the exterior design looked similar to the CX-9...definitely better design than the old MDX and not too polarizing (which is good as it will age well)!
Hey look, feature innovations that have been available on a Honda Odyssey for 2 generations. Glad Acura finally update the MDX but the back looks like a Qx60 and the front looks like a marvel superhero, way too plain and vertical in the front. This is over priced and will never ride as cushy or have as luxurious interior as a Lexus...
Blaze is adorable! You should definitely do a series on dog-friendly vehicles. 🐶
I believe it is the Advance package because of the walk away liftgate!
Great review, great car, great dog!
Awesome job Acura
All the design elements on the nose are in the top half.
Best Suv Cockpit ever wow. Very sporty futuristic !
Great review. Learned some small, interesting things that other reviews didn't cover.
After owning a 2007 mdx for over -0 years I really wanted a a7 next bit now the 2021 mdx lookomg very interesting especially when the new v6turbo is out in fall!
Tommy, Nice review, In that upcoming driving reviews, We would like to see comparisons of the new MDX to the new GV80. Those 2 will be fighting for the same market share.
Wish they would’ve switched the volume and the dynamic knobs current spots with each other
10/10 best video ever made due to Blaze.
That's the exact same seat in the Honda oddsey minivan
My 2008 has 300 hp.
14 years later 290 hp.
They need to hire some Ford or Ram HP hungry folks.
Lol it will still rape a 2008 in a drag race tho
@@RaY_77W true
They in it to make money. Those high powered models you speak doesn't justify the money in r&d and carbon tax fees
That 360 cam is pretty nice for an Acura way better than last years
I got the 22 MDX this April and love it., it's so smoothe
Thats a good looking MDX, I feel Acura’s are slowly getting not ugly. Hate the track pad though. Do all Acuras still recommend 91 octane? How old is Blaze?
